Godalming Town Centre

This is a circular walk from St Peter and St Paul church, taking us across the High Street of Godalming and returning via the Philip Memorial Park.
The walk covers a distance of just under 2 km and will take 40 minutes.
We start our journey at the venerable St Peter & St Paul Church before turning left along Church Street. We see the iconic Pepper Pot building at the junction of Church and High Street.
The Godalming museum is next to the Pepper Pot. As you stroll down the High street, you pass by number 76-74 , a building dating back to 1663 featuring Dutch-inspired brickwork stone facades.
Next, we arrive at the iconic Kings Arms Royal Hotel. Continuing along, you come to the end of High Street, where you can see the stained glass of the former Godalming Congregational Church.
From here, take the pathway around the back of the library leading to Philips Memorial Park, a quiet, tranquil enclave with the gently flowing River Wey and Llamas Land on the other bank.
We return to St Peter & St Paul Church, where our walk ends.
