I’ve been playing piano since April 1st of this year. With your help I have come a long way and I appreciate it! Every morning I wake up, grab some coffee,
And what a video of yours. If it’s something I know I need to work on then I will practice it fully until I get it. Ive played guitar since I was little but never understood the theory of it like you learn with piano and needless to say, I’ve caught the piano bug and it’s all thanks to you! Just wanted to let you know what you do is helping. Thanks Joseph.
P.S. - Can you throw a couple hip hop riffs in there? If you teach it I know I’ll learn it!
HI ! Josef Yes I just smashed that Sub button right away when I found you yesterday! I've been anewbie for years....But this year I'm gonna finally play full songs because i'm starting understanding the basics, 65 years later lol! Love the way you explain music and that app is one of the best out there helps so much ! Got a lots of videos to catch-up Thank you so much for sharing your heavenly🙏amazing talent . I feel very blessed! to have found your channel! Cheers from Québec 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽😁
Nugget of piano goodness! LOVE IT!!!!
Great combination of chords & rhythm
You are like a magician that reveals his truck but then at the end shows you a mind blowing trick..
That’s how I feel when I listen to your last song ...
Thank you, your video are awesome ♡
I love to try out these excercises
Thank you for the piano-y goodness this morning, Josef! I finally recovered from strain in my left hand flexor tendon from overdoing piano/violin practice a week or so ago and am so excited to resume practice with you. xxox
Cheers Jo 👍
Thank you!
It just gets better and better and better! THANK YOU!
Thanks man! You're very welcome Robin.
Thank you so much Josef.Stay Safe
Thank you, I will. You too.
Thanks for this effective mini tutorial...
Just wanted to say thanks again for these awesome videos. You're among the few teachers here on UA-cam who have made the quarantine not quite so bad! 😊
Very good exercice ! How to sound great with a simple trick !
Thanks.
Once again another great tutorial Josef , thank you 🤗
My pleasure Ann.
Nice chords. I like the idea of limiting yourself and being creative. this is what I do on my guitar (main instrument) when writing music. Thanks Josef! 👍
i was such a beginner that your videos seemed always so hard, but i tried them for many hours, now a days i really can understand so much more and hopefully play really for many hours, im gonna try this one in the afternoon
Alsolutely love these chords! Thanks for de-stressing me...started with CPA three days ago and feel like I'm making a real sound already...
This is the best piano channel by far
so nice
Thanks for the extra guidance on fingers. Made following you much easier.
Glad it helped Mike
You make Practice never easy like this, I like itt
Great share - thanks...
Glad you enjoyed it
These sound great, right hand is doing most of the heavy lifting with these chord structures,
I still have a habit of always throwing in the fifth with my left hand.
Nice to listen
Good stuff Royce
Ur videos are awesome, could you please put up some minor chord patterns too!!that would be great
Yes
Wow sound sweet
Thanks for listening. Glad you liked it
Nice sir, wow
Many thanks. Glad you liked it!
Really enjoy your videos. Thank you so much for producing them, they make me feel as though there will come a day when I can walk up to a piano and just play something random that will actually sound good. At the moment, I have yet to see how everything i.e. scales, chords...fit together. Sort of like driving a standard for the first time and stalling repeatedly. I can now drive a standard without thinking about what I'm doing and sure hope that I will reach that point with playing a piano. Again, thanks.
You're welcome. Thats the idea with my youtube videos at least. Playing good music you like and is yours is possible!
Awesome
sauce
I love these chords; could you put all the chords (with all the notes in letter form up above, as you did in some of your more beginner videos) on the screen at the same time, after you've introduced them all? That would be helpful.
I love your all video sir....
You are owsm ....
And very useful video
Thanks and welcome
Literally saved me during that Covid19 madness
Parabéns aqui do Brasil
Hey do upload some information about passing chords..
Fun !! lee
I am searching for a good digital piano what kind of piano are you using. Maybe I get inspired 😊
Hi! Have been following your piano lessons and it has really helped in making my fingers flexible thanks alot:). Please if you can upload explanatory videos on how to get chords from a particular key I will greatly appreciate. I kind of fine it difficult to hear that in the key of D there are; D,E,F#,G,A,B,C# & D chords. Please I need explanations on this so as to understand better thanks.
ily
Nice Joe, I’m on it. Are you on lock down across the pond?
Music student answer at 2:35 : for a resolution. The other chords all have suspensions, and the C major brings a moment of resolution. Answer B: it sounds sweet that way.
Question is buying keyscape good to practice with
Dear sir l have a request that, please give an example to use where it suits ,for example how to use it in songs and a famous song as an example
Looking for first 88 keys keyboard after getting the yamaha ez-220 for christmas - which was a great starter - but now that I'm really into piano I want a good one with a pedal. So many to choose from, any tips people? Also is flowkey worth it?
Another awesome video.
I'm actually thinking about buying one of your courses. Which one would you recommend for a beginner. I've been playing a little while. I have more of a theoretical knowledge based than technique. I don't practice enough haha
If you really want to learn and stay interested buy the patterns. the play alongs are fantastic. even an old guy like me can play a bit!
seems safe and never wrong to add C & G to any chords in the key of C major
Why did you pick that particular progression and voicing structure?
So I love key of A and Eb. If I added 2nd and 4ths would it work or not, please? It’s late, daren’t play at this time of night so just wondering until I try tomorrow 😴. Also could you do a quicky on adding rhythm and interesting off beat patterns with passing notes, please? Appreciate your enthusiasm 🙏
yes 2nd and 4ths would work. You need to have a grasp of the notes in those keys though. Yes i'm doing passing notes. i'll think about rhythm. Good idea.
Hello josef i want to ask you about the software that you're for this piano lesson ,,, please dont mind im asking
Hello Joseph. Thank You For this amazing tutorial. I have a question. What program do You use to record your keyboard. I am Talking about this program who shows chords. Thanks For Your Time Music Brother!
You're welcome. Check my info box.
Love the simplicity! Problem is reaching all the notes. I can do an octave but once I’ve added the other fingers in the reach isn’t there. I can tip my hand to reach but it’s almost a hop. Not sure if over time my fingers will stretch?
they will stretch a bit but also you will get used to / better at finger placement. Strength will improve. You'll get there. If you can do the octave, the rest will come.
Creative Piano Academy Thanks! That’s what I needed to hear! I will push forward on this and practice it everyday! Thanks so much for the daily UA-cam videos!
👌
As a beginner to the piano I found your videos interesting but a bit confusing until I twigged that you are basing these chords NOT on the ROOT chord but on inversions of the root chord. Might be worth mentioning this in your videos for us less able players.
Can I use any left pattern to go with these chords
That sounds creative. You should check the name of this piano academy first, before deciding if it's ok to create stuff on your own.
After that, see if your idea sounds good.
I am only a beginner who struggles too, much sir how can I contact you is there is any mode
Are apps like simply piano actually any good for building from absolute beginner?
yes yes yes
A minor 7 chord. Why? Just love the way it sounds huh?
Please what piano are you using?
Search creative piano academy my setup
I did that. No search capability. It is a great sounding piano. Whatever it is.
First view on any video ever
Yaay
Have a great big musical cookie! :)
@@Creativepianoacademy thanks. Sure
Jazzy??
Jazzy is camera shy!
I have small hands and can’t play this :
Is it just the octaves with the left you can't reach? You can just play single notes and maybe do a pattern. Play low note then then bounce to the octave, it'll sound slightly different but just as good.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
