and I'll get a small percent of whatever you buy from them. Costs you nothing. Thanks guys!

I can tell from countless misadventures. The best thing to do right there from my experience has been to throw a washer on the stud, then weld a nut on it. Then back it out with a wrench. The heat soaks in when you weld it. Perfect
Well did you witness you kinda put some sideways stress on it. No offense.
thanks - I wonder if you use Penetrene and allow it to soak 24 hrs before trying to extract would have helped
but good to see a fail - its very instructive
Just FYI, also, the bolt extractors you described as Irwin are meant to be used on bolts that still have heads on them, which would explain why they were too large.
I hope you got it out!! 😊
Every time A bolt breaks, you just cringe. The good news is I got it out. I did buy some of the Erwin extractors that were smaller and finally do work really well on broken studs. Of course they do have to be the right size. I’ve been really happy with this stud extractor, it’s got me out of quite a few binds. It’s always good to have as many options as you can. Thanks for your thoughts
@@livefree6878 hiya,
Just wondering about the tools you used to get the stud out, did you drill the bolt eventually?
Close enough 💪
😭
I tried this tool but it did not work because the stud was stippe
You over tightened it lol
