Thanks for sharing this video. It sure helped me to understand what I would be expecting at the DMV. Did my test today in the morning and passed on the first attempt. Some of my friends told me that they were penalized for using back camera. But they were wrong. In fact if you have back camera then use it along with the mirrors to do the curbside parking and reverse testing. I was anxious but tell you frankly the examiner was very nice and friendly. She talked for few minutes while I was going towards the main road to make me feel ease. Explained to me what is expected of me and how I should be following her instructions. Took about 20 minutes to complete the test. Test took place at Riverside DMV. Keep calm and be attentive - it should be all good.

Thank God you have a very nice yet assertive road test lady, which hopefully made you comfortable while testing. If there were more road testers like her, the roads would be a safer place to drive. God Bless.

no way this should of been a pass with the amount of missed shoulder checks. That lady is too nice.
You can get away with tailgating as long as you keep a safe distance.
Meanwhile, I do everything fucking perfect, but when I am expecting to hear "congratulations you passed!" I instead get failed for something I didn't even do. I got cheated out of passing my driving test, and now I have to wait 6 FUCKING MONTHS and I also have to retake the written test all because some stupid bitch lied and failed me for no reason.

Esdras Gomez yes, something VERY bad. I still have anger to this day. It's just that I studied and practiced so hard and to fail when I had no minors or majors for a nonexistent reason just makes me upset. I was looking forward over the past summer to finally drive by myself. The bad part about it is in my area, you NEED a drivers license to get anywhere and I don't want my mom driving me to every place I have to go especially when I'm 18 now. It's basically another thing I have to worry about which causes more stress :(

For those taking the test, make sure the car you are using is in 100 percent working order. Otherwise, you can fail without even starting the test. I used a 2016 Acura RDX (Mom's car), which had every thing working. Try to find a score sheet for your state and practice and have someone look outside for things like the turn signals, brake lights, etc.

To make it better I think having a conversation with the instructor might calm ppl down it be nice to know the person while your on the road and feel more comfortable during the test especially at the stop lights

it sucks but a lot of them tell you straight up “don’t talk to me i am not here to be your friend” :( which means i don’t get to talk to them during mine which sucks!!!

I have my test coming up tomorrow morning on Easter Friday, havnt practiced much as we have only 1 car which my husband takes to work, m pretty nervous. ur examiner seemed pretty nice, hopefully i get a nice calm examiner too, with grace of Jesus Christ, Amen

I noticed that too. You are supposed to put one hand over the other, not under, when making a sharp turn or when parallel parking.

Michael Horgan, it was surprisingly easy. i passed it with only 3 errors. i feel like watching the actual tests on UA-cam made me feel less nervous and that definitely helped.
I passed with 9 errors and I was a shitty driver that day and had a mild cough on top of it.

That look easy ! What about the k turn or the reverse parking !! Omg
Its weird looking at driving tests from other countries . For example theres no looking over your shoulder here thats required, but that may also be due to the fact that the roads in the US are alot wider I guess. Also reversing doesn't require you to look back, only using your mirrors, so you can properly align yourself with the curb and make sure youre keeping the car straight without veering off left or right. I'm from Romania by the way.
In California you have to look back when doing the parallel backing maneuver. I had to look back and put my arm around the passenger seat to help.

You will do better next time. I was that person where I did not do well and failed miserably, but then I practiced some more and I passed. It might be 9 errors, but as long as you get 15 or less errors and no critical mistakes, you pass.
