- Опубліковано 29 бер 2020
- Detailed description of angle of torsion of femur, the normal degree of torsion of femur with emphasis on ante-version and retro-version. The bio-mechanical and structural changes that occur due to anteverted and retroverted position such as change in abductor muscle torque, joint instability,MEDIAL FEMORAL TORSION,LATERAL FEMORAL TORSION as well as IN-TOEING and OUT-TOEING which are seen as compensatory mechanism to increase or decrease in torsion is discussed briefly.

Thankyou for making this portion much easier.
U r welcome, stay tunned✌🏻
It's so nice someone finally explains this in a way that is easy to follow and has VISUAL aids to actually show what is occurring!
Thank you so much for making it so simple to understand!
the best lesson for understanding retroversion and anteversion
I was feeling very difficult to understand biomechanics but Ur vedios are really helping me to understand the topics and I'm so excited to learn biomechanics.once again thank you sir
So glad to hear it
Woah! I was struggling with this bit for life 2-3 days!N sir u made it pretty simple! Thankyou ❤️
Amruta Shirsat happy to hear this.....keep tuned to channel for more updatss in biomechanics...thank you

Thank you so much sir for uploading these amazing explanations. Topic is very clear now
Sir, really never felt so easy about hip biomechanics I m preparing for my second year main exams due to lockdown nothing was taught clearly and Ur videos are helping me to understand everything in a easy manner 🙏🙏🙏 thanks a lot sir
Thank u for teaching in such an easy way💕
Thank you tony for helping me survive freshman year!
Happy to help!

Glad it was helpful!
Thank you very much sir!
Superb teacher i easily understand thanks a lot😊😊😊
Thank you, good to hear....hope futre classes also helps you
Thank you brother
Tilt, payed close attention the body has to use alot of torque to straighten out the opposing leg, ultimately causing alot of neuropathy, very insightful...Tilt
Good effort..niz vdo... keep going
Thank you for ur supprts
Very helpful❤️
glad to hear......good luck
Thank you sooooo much
You're welcome! good luck
Thanks 😊👍

thank you, keep watching
Worth !
Thank u.
Thnk u so much
Sir will you please make a video on muscles of spine..
Hi Tony, anteversion seems similar to coxa valga (angle of inclination). any way to differentiate blw the two?
I had a patient 24 years old age with RTA before three months leading to Subtrochanteric fracture treated surgically by ORIF by anatomical locked plate with screws . Now there’s no pain but there’s lengthening of the extremity, what do you think the causes of this lengthening ?
Is it due to anteversion or due to coax valga ?
sir can you please cover femorocetabular impingement (FAI)
Simple and very helpful
thank you, keep watching
to tell u the truth few years latter u'll be famous professor
Which are the standard, widely used textbooks for BASIC HIP arthroplasty and BASIC KNEE arthroplasty?
Great video BTW. very simplistic
Easy to catch🙃

Can hip retroversion be fixed?
Hi there, I have a question about the muscles that would be affected by Anteversion of the femur..
You said the abductor muscles that originate from the pubic area will be affected, but the abductors are not mostly originate from there, unless you meant the adductors....
Thank you so much for the effort
same doubt sir
I think sir meant lateral rotators of hip cause adductors also dont emerge from there , and he also said that they mostle insert at great trochanter laterally so lateral rotators are what mostly insert at there !!
As u have explained in video that in femoral anteversion (i-e femoral internal rot ) ,tibia will rotate externally to compensate it ,Can u plz explain the rational behind it because what I have learned is that tibia rotates internally too.
Just Asking for learning purpose .
Yes, correct.See when there is ante-version the entire femoral articular surface is outwards or there is decrease in articular contract between femoral head and acetabulum. But to overcome this the femur itself is turned medially by the capsuloligamenteous structures. But it increases hip congruence but at knee there is alteration in the axis of knee joint. The result is tibia also getting medially with femur and as a result there is a TOE IN that is happening.
But mostly its not that pronounced bcz in most cases there is a change with tibia too. Thus the tibia will go for lateral torsion which is opposite to that happens in femur, this is a compensatory strategy to joint axis the same( it may happen in most cases or if INTOE progress)
good luck

Thank you sir...sir can u plz make a video on shoulder complex ...plz sir ...I hve a seminar and I'm so nervous...sir can u plz make a video on ths topic... Im so confused about the motions of all the 4 joints
I am planing about starting shoulder complex....i wish i can deliver it before your need ...but due to lockdown we are facing lot of issues ...espically lack of avaiblity of bones sets and so on...thts a challenge...still i will do my best...
You can also contact via my social media platforms....links are given in description...i can get u assistance...need not be nervous it is very simple and easy topics...you just have to understand the essence

Sir where I can get notes

Sir which book do u use ??
I would suggest you go with joint structure and function latest edition( 6 th ) by cynthia c norkin. There are some additions in this latest version compared to earlier editions . If you are a UG student this would be sufficent. I usually combine few books espically Norkin and Kinesiology by Carol Oatis ( mainly for applied aspects and pathomechanics). Thank you

Sir sometime difficult to understand your language
You need to talk slower. Can barely understand you. In fact, when you are talking fast, can't understand you at all!
I can understand him well. If you can’t can replay again. It will consolidate your understanding too.
