the LG G6 because of how it is built for everyday use. It is meant to be durable with a case but unlike the s8, the infinity screen is a lot less immersive with a case.

LG G6 because it offers that GoPro-like wide-angle shot that looks great, unlike S8 with minimal improvement on its camera.

LG G6 - maybe not as future proof as the s8, but also the price is way more reasonable and the wide angle lens is fantastic

Brent Grant when you really look at it the price value of the two devices are very similar. the video has the price of a S8 at 850 when in fact it's only 750. and when you add in the 64 gigabytes as opposed to 32 gigabytes that comes on the G6 and the newer processor and premium quality headphones the 150 difference is more than justified.
plus the fact that when bought on a monthly plan, 90% of the way people buy phones, it's about a 2 dollar a month difference.
while the wide lens is nice it comes at a price of a comicly narrow main shooter. the fact that the wide angle lens effected the main shooter is a major no go for me.
marcus Free I don't disagree, and now having used both, the s8 is a much better value. The wide angle lenses on the g6 is still fun to use though.

I'd choose the LG G6, it is cheaper and it is a very very good phone for the price tag.
It's my personal preference, I've had experiences with both Brands. I'd just prefer the LG
32 gigs > extendable so meh, display is pretty good at least no burn ins lol > mine came with earbuds, bud
cheaper because the front screen is just sa corning gorilla glass 3 while the back is corning gorilla glass 5, so if your phone just fell to the ground, the front will cracked easily. Dunno why they build it that way the back is stronger than the important one which is the front screen

the g6 is better to me. just seems more straightforward and no gimmicks if that makes sense.

I prefer the
G6 because it is functionally much better. Better place for the fingerprint, dual camerz setup, and doesn't havr the edge screen (wich is a very useless feature)

In India G6 makes more sense. Here we get 64 GB storage and Hi-Fi DAC.
Also it's easy to install a screen protector and a case on. 👍🏼
After 3 years of using my HTC M8 I decided to get something new. I've been researching all long weekend and I decided the G6 was for me, wide angle lens, design, slightly smaller. This review was perfect to reinforce my decision, you've got to get it right as it'll be your buddy for the next 2 years minimum. I love my M8 although it's time to move on. loving your work dude.

S8's design is beautiful, have to be honest there. But LG G6's wide angle camera feature is great and the price is lower. I can't really choose. Haha!

I absolutely adore the S8. The whole "unbox your phone" is one of the only marketing schemes I SERIOUSLY buy into
personally I prefer the Samsung because I I love the design and have more experience with Samsung. Although it never hurt to try something new.

My phone broke today so I finally have to get a new one and after watching your review, I was pretty set on the S8+, because I watch Netflix and read on the phone during my commute, so I think that the larger screen and better image quality of the S8+ would be better for that, but now, after reading the comments, where the vast majority of people prefer the LG6, I'm not sure what I want anymore. Thanks people. lol

Thanks for the video. I feel I like the LG more. To me the design of the LG is more crisp and I prefer a flat screen. I had the Galaxy S7 Edge, the screen had many issues for me, I could not control apps because my fingers could not help but touch the edge of the screen. Was frustrating.
I would love to have a LG G6.

Thanks for the review Justin. I'm still figuring out what phone will be my next... Have to say, I was impressed by how small the LG G6 feels in the hand. There's a lot to like with it. I really do wish though that the G6 would have used the Snapdragon 835. I'm not so concerned with speed, but I would appreciate the power efficiency and Bluetooth 5.0. And I do prefer the two-camera setup vs. the one on the S8 even though it is a good one.
Nice job buddy. From other reviews it seems the galaxy has a better white point and more neutral colours but you mentioned the LG seemed more accurate. I guess I'll have to see them in person.

Man I had and Lg g6 is as good as the lg g3 was for lg. It's really inovative with a cool design and a bunch of features! Gj with the channel keep it up!
I prefer LG G6 for that quad dac and speakers are better on G6 and obviously here in India LG G6 is cheaper than S8.
man even the S8 is with 32 bit DAC but the G6 international model have the 32 bit not for US, UK and European versions have a 24 bit but they both have a good performance
s8 does not come with 32 bit DAC. it comes with a decent DAC, maybe 16 bit, but not 32 bit
sorry man but that is true both of them have a DAC but g6 version differ from the version you choose for the country you choose

Nice and wonderful review.. Currently I'm using LGG5 im really suffering from the battery.. And i need to carry my external extra battery with me all the time.. And i love the phone because it has a wide angle camera. Shall I move to LGG6 or the Samsung S8

I think the S8+ is great because the the Snapdragon 835 is not only fast but also power efficient. The display is amazing looking and having an Amoled screen makes it better due to sharpness. The only thing that isn't good is the fingerprint scanner location. LG G6 has one advantage which is a wide angle lens. And speakers are slightly louder on the LG G6. And what's up Justin from Quebec, Canada.
Did you run your benchmarks and battery test with the S8+ on the "default" 1080p or the higher setting which is what they are touting the phone as. Also I think a better comparison would be the G6 vs the S8 and not S8+. For me I like the G6 better for the following reasons, no curved edges (I use a tempered glass screen protector), fingerprint reader in a much better location, wide angle camera, and I actually like LG's UI better with knock on and the ability to add/rearrange bottom buttons. Don't get me wrong I have held both the S8 and S8+ and they feel more compact than the G6 and are amazingly beautiful phones and I really don't think you can go wrong with any of them. Great comparison video as well by the way.

LG G6 for me! I preferred the flat screen.. basically I like its entire design and the user interface over the S8.

The G6 took better pictures, and the wide angle shot offers a fun dimension to the phone.
Watched until the end and ended up going with the G6 - because I wanted to buy a phone and did not want additional payments on my bill. lol. For me, it was a good choice. I have had a Galaxy S, 2 3, 4 and replaced the my Note 3 with the G^ (which I loved, but with all of the updates, my phone would barely last 3 hours). PLUS I have plenty of headsets so I'm good. For the price, I am very happy and I appreciate this video and your assessment of these phones. Thank you.

I got the LG G6 and I like it. My wife got the S8 and likes it too. so I think they are both great cellphones its just comes down to personal preference. I myself am not a fan of the curved screen and I loved my V20 so... but you really cant go wrong with either.. cool vid dude.

LG G6 - They have a lot of potential and I like them becausse of their innovation. In terms of specs the g6 isn't as good as the s8 but the optimization made up for it. The Camera is very good and has a definite advantage because of the wide lens as well. I also love the design, the samsung is very pretty as well but the G6 isn't ugly either lol. I like them both but I'm going for LG.

Would really love to have the G6. I know most fancy the S8, but I don't quite feel the same way. The G6 on the other hand, is love at first sight.
I prefer the LG G6. I grew up with LG, having the G2 back in the day and it was my favorite phone I had thus far. The smooth glass on the front was such a beautiful addition. Great Review! Who's got the best sound in your opinion?
Just a guess here, but the harder glass on the back is likely to avoid wear patches where the phone is placed down on an abrasive surface. Softer on the front is less likely to crack.

32 Bit DAC + Fast Wireless charging in all regions
Ton of UI features that doesn't bog down the system as much as before.
S8 is only Rs.4k more than LG G6 in India.
All Fans are commenting G6 is better, but Sales and preorders say something else.
