I installed such an egress window myself, also from Poland, 48x48, but I took out the sash (where all the weight is) and started with the frame, then mounted the single sash. Per the instructions I received I kept the gap at a minimum and used a special sealant. Very pleased.
This is the exact egress window I've been dreaming of, size and scale! I need two installed. Can you tell me the cost please, and if you would come out to Idaho
Yes backfilling with gravel is easier on the window well, that being said, the RockWell window well that was used in the video is extremely durable and does not require gravel.
I live in Columbus Ohio and I'm looking for a window something like that. If nobody I have talked to is willing to offer it. I'm going to keep looking, but would you be able to give more information on the window brand that was used?
South Ontario Egress window dose this work out, let me know how to it feel finishing 3\4 on an 8 hour day, ultralight ex, and ring saw/ loader / trailer
Probably should have spent the extra couple hundo for a foot taller window well. The way that cover crosses over the window on the outside looks pretty bad.
If we put a well all the way past the top of the window it would be sticking out of the ground over a foot. So that’s why we set the lip of the well 3-4 inches past the highest point of grade
@siddheshdubey There is a cover for the top of the opening. In the winter months you just place the top on to avoid a fill up of snow. So all you would need to do is clear away snow as you would a driveway
I don’t understand the whole need for the sump pump system. You were already at the drain tile, why couldn’t you put a drain in the well, instead of a sump pump system which needs maintenance and adds cost to the build?
If I had a yahoo hire me who thought cutting plywood with a circular saw was bad I'd quit and take my deposit with me. They usually drive Volvos or VWs. Actually, if we see one of those in the driveway we won't take the job.

We love seeing our window wells being used! Great work!
We love Rockwell wells they are the best looking well in the game

Beautiful window and installation. Not for the budget faint of heart, but maximum added value to below grade finished space is a bonus. Nice video.
How much?
Certainly not the easiest renovation, but we agree that adding a beautiful lower-level living space is a great option!
Thx yes this system was one of the biggest we have installed with a Rockwell to date.
Yes they are very beautiful! But was not the economical system by any means.
Why not back fill with gravel? This protects the window well from being damaged by the ground as it expands and contracts.

Some wells like Well Craft Require pea gravel to backfill. Rockwell does not however and is very durable during backfill.

with a ring saw and mini excavator would you bet that youll finish it fully in one day ?
I wanted to know what's the clean up is like? Is it hard to clean up after all the water and dust?

Is $ 10,500. per window Canadian a good guess of the cost ?
Yea models can start around $6500 USD or about $9000 Canadian
@@blakcopsandyugioh4 Plus labor?
What do you with the header when the joists run perpendicular to the window? Can’t just add material, blocking it out like you did.
Look amazing and i smelling a bunch $$$$$$ 🤑 bcz is a lot hard work involv👍
Where did the sump pump discharge pipe drain to?
The discharge pipe comes up to grade on the outside of the well and turns to go out to daylight
Where can i find this window?
I’m impressed how only 3 guys brought it into the house and only 2 set it in place, didn’t you say it was nearly 500 pounds? It does look great.
Yes the window was very heavy! Two of the guys are also competing weight lifters as well
Do you need drainage behind that wall?
It looks like $40000 later.
What happens when it snows?
I'm guessing something like this cost around 10K each.
In snowfall this could be a problem. Snow will filled in.

It's a good way to have your home broken into as well.

If I had a yahoo in my house that started to cut drywall with a circular saw, they would be removed from my property.
