I bought it even though I didn't like the colour story cause I wanted to support Shane at the time lmao and I had been saving for it for a while. I've barely used it and still don't like the colour story. Definitely a regret.
Same. The packaging is fricken amazing, ngl.. But the colors are lacking, for sure. Although I have contemplated buying it, prying out the pans, and putting in different colors..
I have been staring at mine recently and realized I probably only really use about half of the shades in it on average. I like the neutral colors the most, and the brighter colors makes me angry how they perform and that they exist there. It's like 50/50. And now with everything going on +++...I like the product, but not the owner, you know.
I am so glad I didn’t purchase it either. I wanted to support Shane but tbh I hated the colour story and felt it made no sense or cohesion. It’s not a palette I look at and can imagine multiple different she looks that I’ll use.
I feel like a cool video would be discussing super gimmiky make up everyone was obsessed with in years past that no one talks about anymore like that super expensive rose blush that was litteraly stacked delicate petals and the rainbow highlighter ect
I used to be a completionist with ABH too, I think that last year they lost a lot of customers who used to collect their palettes. I'm sure they made a fortune pushing out palettes every week like Colourpop, but at the ABH price point, that's not sustainable.
"I look weird, I look like a poser", my exact feelings when I wear pinks or all light colored looks 🤣 I love how we have opposite styles but still think so similarly.
I mean, if it doubles as a butt plug, it could at least come close to justifying the price 😂 also, I hate those Louboutin packages that can’t even stand up straight, it makes no sense
Whenever I see palettes/makeup I'm interested in buying, I almost always go straight to my collection to compare shades and look for dupes that I already own. It's pretty fun actually 😊 a little "shop my stash" moment 👌 this little trick has saved my ass so many times 😂
I love that spray! The only issue I have with it is the spray nozzle, it's very forceful but the issue may be fixed by now. Otherwise, great spray, it smells like a tropical dream.
The setting spray looks beautiful after you use it. Can’t remember how it sprayed but I don’t think it was bad. But I could not get past the scent. I like coconut but it was waaaayyyy overscented for me, and it lingered, like just would NOT go away!!! I gave it to my mom, she likes it.
We always talk about fomo but it's great to hear someone talk about the opposite. I definitely have products that will be on my wishlist forever. Thanks for this video!
Alicia Calloway I would consider paying $100 easy, for a really long lasting lipstick. Not a drying one, not a gloss....an actual lipstick that guaranteed 18 hrs of staying power. It just doesn’t exist at this time. The closest I found is a company out of CA, called Lip Ink. Very good, lasts and lasts but still not perfect.
You just gave me WAR FLASHBACKS with that damn marc jacobs spray. My friend bought that shit when it first came out. I was visiting her at her college and when we were getting ready she busted it out like “yo lets try this” and we sprayed it all over our faces. Cut to a couple hours later in the basement of a fucking phi lamb frat party, when a dude looks at me and says “YOUR EYE IS SWOLLEN!!!!!” I’m like “WHAAAT” and long story short that’s how I was rushed to urgent care, underaged and shitfaced, by my friend and that completely random frat dude, with hives all over my face, all because I’m allergic to whatever the fuck marc felt was necessary to put in that godforsaken spray.
I love that you were yelling at one point in the video. My boyfriend just asked me to turn down the TV. “NINETY DOLL-HAIRRRS!” He’s gaming and can hear you over his head set and he’s in the other room 😂😂😂😂
I love videos like this because although I have practically no makeup (cause I'm broké) I'm always sort of lusting after things and its nice to remember that sometimes makeup is just makeup and it can be shitty and not worth your time.
Honestly I lost interest in Tati since she's been in Seattle. Its like a flip switched in her head and she's unrelatable and promoting that stupid dyson hair straightener at the worst possible time. With no empathy for what's going on in the world from her million dollar condo. 🤨
i don't want to see a video on jeffree if it doesn't include his involvement with dahvie vanity *as well as* his own accusations of predatory and abusive behaviour. i'm tired of no one talking about it and seeing it get swept under the rug, yet again
Tati is not the same anymore. I honestly think now that she’s moved, she should retire. Yes, she LOVES make up but her heart is not in the videos anymore and it’s showing. The whole change of the move/set up is diff and makes watching Her videos not fun anymore and Ugh jeffree⭐️ shud just shut his mouth and keep it shut. It was bad enough he let Shane fool everyone and make them believe Shane was sooo into make up and suddenly they made millions and Shane suddenly feels ashamed and insecure about his skin..yes Shane is always insecure but he wasn’t about showing make up on his face and then suddenly they sell out and he’s too shy to do make up🤦♀️ I thought the whole Shane/make up thing was hokey from the beginning! The fact that he wAs getting PR blew my mind, when there are ppl that are busting their asses trying to get a little recognition for their work and here he is, a make up guru overnight and receiving PR😒
MUA X Denise You know what’s weird about that? I think she’s going back to her old background look to get back to being relatable but it’s backfiring because she’s not
I love how you are preaching smart consumerism! I made a video about your palette and said that i cant bring myself to buy another highlighter because i was panning few and you commented that that is great smart consumer choice! So how can we not stan the queen of not even pushing her own products but pushing good decisions! 🤗
Amanda Merrill These artists are really being stupid about their releases. There collections sell to mostly the younger generation, you know, the people who just don’t have the money to spend at this point in their lives. If they geared these makeup products for the older generation... the boomers who do have the $$ they might be seeing better results. At the same time, boomers wouldn’t just keep buying every release if they found products that have worked for them. Bottom line; think about the ingredients in products, think of how inexpensive most of them are, think of the enormous quantity being made. Now think of how inexpensive it is for them to make and release. For instance, perfume has a 400% markup. Don’t let’s all be sheep, baa, baa. We are allowing them to literally rob us. Get Smart everyone.
I lusted after the Lila palette for so long until I followed the trick of covering up the shade or 2 that has caught your eye and then looking at the rest. If I cover the pink and the purple the rest is very boring. So how it gets called a purple palette I don't know.
I have 6 of her palettes, and I’ve never regret a purchase. If you ever decide to bite the bullet, I wholeheartedly believe it’s worth it. But obviously, only go for it if it’s in your means, and you know you’ll love and wear it.
I bought the Marc Jacobs Coconut setting mist for the EXACT same reason, anything that has a coconut scent I’m all over. I don’t know why I bought it since I have oily skin and it made my skin feel like I sprayed crisco oil on my face and the mister was horrible. And stuff I’m glad I didn’t buy was anything that had Jeffree’s name on it.
Felt the same exact way, it was horrible!! I have the Marc Jacobs Conconut Primer too and kept it thinking would tell myself to love it but it was trash too
I have a mini of the Becca highlighter you talked about and love it. Though I don’t use it as a highlighter but as an eye shadow topper. I never would have purchased the full size for some of the reasons you listed, but this was in a minis set that Sephora put out a couple of Christmases ago for like $25. It’s worth it for that when you get it as one of 4 highlighter minis.
Hannah your videos have been keeping everyone sane during quarantine i have been going through a really hard time with my anxiety and your videos have been helping a lot 😘keep doing what your doing it’s making a difference
Yess you're spitting facts abt feeling like you need to complete sets and make sure you have everything even when u neveeeer use them. I struggle w that too
I really appreciated how you went into detail about the Becca highlighter taking a long time to hit pan. I would love a video about other expensive products that take at least 6 months to a year to get through. It helps to determine if something is a good value. Sometimes you can't tell how quickly you will go through a product just by looking at the net weight. Some products require a heavier hand than others and even though there is a lot of product in the container, it doesn't last as long as a more concentrated product. Becca highlighter is a great example of this. It is a relatively expensive highlighter, but one pressed highlighter will last about a year with regular use.
Totally agree with the Natasha Denona opinion. I hear everyone rave about it but at over $100 it is a bit out of my budget. Finally, went to Sephora and swatched it and was so not impressed. I felt like I was missing something but thank you for validating my feelings lol
Refreshed at just the right moment! Thank you so much for still uploading right now. I'm still working but when I'm home, your content is such a needed distraction! ❤️
I love the Becca highlighters and have spent too much time looking at them on the Sephora website. But in Canada, they retail for somewhere around $50 and for me that is a big NOPE. I bought the mini set they came out during the Christmas season a couple years ago and got 4 minis for the price of 1 regular size and they're still no where near hitting pan! I also feel the same about literally any Huda palette (esp the Mercury Retrograde one) but those are over $80 here.. again, big NOPE.
Minis are awesome. I enjoyed my mini moonstone for over a year. I have found a cheaper highlighter that I like more since but the becca one was nice and that mini UFO-like packaging looked super cute.
It's SOOOOOOO GOOD! I can't stop using it! I don't buy much makeup but pinks are my jam and I'm so happy I decided to buy it! Hannah and Midas killed it! 💙
God I have so many more makeup regrets than I do makeup I'm glad I didn't buy. Seeing the Becca highlighter in this made me think of it. When I really started getting into makeup, I bought so many colored highlighters. The ABH Aurora glow kit was more than enough. Then I proceeded to buy like 3 more blue highlighters. I guess I just thought hypothermia was a look. I got that Becca highlighter you mentioned in a Beautylish lucky bag. And you know why it's in a lucky bag? That's right. Because no one buys colored highlighters anymore so they need to move stock. Have I used it? Absolutely not. I really need to dedicate myself to a low/no buy.
Catrice dewy glow setting mist is pretty much a dupe for the glam glow spray. I lusted after it too because Shaaanxo raved about it. Then i bought the catrice one and it's great.
When I was first getting into makeup, one of my dreams was to own the Naked 3 palette. I’m so glad I never got that because I now know that I don’t like mauve tones on me, I’m not a fan of the UD eyeshadows, and I much prefer bright pinks and purples rather than muted ones!
I also was an Anastasia completionist up until the Alyssa Edwards palette but when the norvina palettes came out I really wanted them but I waited and I just picked up vol 1 on sale 30% off!! Love you and your channel😍
I'm so glad I didnt buy the Conspiracy pallete. I just do not like it. 🤭 Same with Bloodlust..... plus..... I dont like the crunchwrap packaging either.
I truly agree that UA-cam reviews are a BLESSING. I try not to get something right away. I usually wait for the hype to die a little bit, that way I don’t have unrealistic expectations of the product.
I never thought I’d hear you say “I’m so glad I didn’t buy a $90 but plug lipstick.” But here we are. 🔥 I’m super glad I never bought any JSC products.
Hannahhh!! I’m so happy to have you back on my yt feed 💛💛💛 I don’t even like makeup, or wear it, but I love hearing you talk about it!! Have a good day
Girl, I don’t know why I love your videos so much. Especially the rants! 🤣 I would rather listen to you rant than rant myself! Never apologize for being critical! You are such a nice person, and don’t mean any bad that it shows.
I have the latte palette along with berries and cream, I’m saving up for latte 2 but if at some point you’re wanting latte 1 again I’d say go for it, it does have very basic colors but it surprisingly is more versatile than it seems
I’m in love with buying the mini size becca highlighter for exactly the same reason - they last me a couple years, are more affordable but hitting pan is achievable. Glad you mentioned that even tho you get a lot of product it’s not really worth it
THANK YOU for speaking so candidly about the setting mist scam. I'm very new to makeup and everyone made it seem like it was so necessary. I bought the hard candy one bc idk it was cheap. So milky and the mist was not fine at all. of course it was cheap, but still, I thought I was using it wrong somehow and felt so stupid
This is why I always wait to buy everything I think I want makeup wise. I always give myself a couple of weeks to think abt it and I always end up not giving a shit and not buying it. We all get wowed by the shiny and new. The problem is there is always going to be shiny and new and you end up not using what you bought. I would rather save my doll hairs and admire from afar! 💙
this is the philosophy I’m trying to apply to my entire consumerist being. wait. decide if the quality and use I’ll get is worth the coin. then hope I forget I ever wanted anything.
this is such an encouraging video! as someone who is newer to the makeup community, and who has nothing to do but sit at home and buy makeup, it’s good to see someone talk about being grateful for not buying stuff. thanks for keeping my wallet in check, lol
I usually never watch these types of videos from start to finish, but there’s something about how you y’all about products that gets me😂 foundation looks great btw!!!
I loved this video!! Beyond everything going on in the world I have a lot of personal heartache happening. This made me really laugh and smile! I love the concept and you are just awesome! Thank you!
I’m with you on the Norvina vol 2 palette. I would never get enough use out of it. I’m also with you when it comes to setting sprays. I don’t feel like they do anything.
Hannah, I just wanted to say: thank you for making me feel like I have a friend in a time it is so easy to feel alone. Thank you for always giving me an intelligent insight from a perspective that I may not have thought of. You are like the friend that gives great advice, is always there for you, and saves you money. I hope you are doing well ♥️
OMG YOUR NEW MERCH IS BEAUTIFUL Tati used to have a display of those $90 LB lipsticks in her videos a couple of years ago. I always thought it was kinda tacky.
I keep hearing you say I wouldnt of got my moneys worth out of this palette. I'm curious what palettes you feel you got your moneys worth? I dont use any of my palettes like I should. I just have too many & keep buying more even though I tell myself I'm done.
Why you want it?.... I don't know 😂😂😂 Hannah you're all us!!! I love your channel cause it's the most organic proof that a smart woman can be interested in intelectual matters and make up too! Liking makeup does not mean shallow tone deaf personality. MUCH LOVE, 💕 I also love your middle ground podcast.
14:22 giiirl.. same!! Anything that I'm interested in, especially pricey items, I pull up YT and watch reviews from different creators that i trust. It's saved me SO much money! Lol. Also, the new Morphe dewy setting spray is the ONLY spray I love and use.
Yesh the Dominique cosmetics pallete was a huge disappointment for me. I wish it was more of a cool tone pallete. But also the quality of the shimmer is bleh
I can’t even finish the video before commenting, I instantly checked your description to see what was on your eyes and now I’m even more excited to receive your Midas collab palette 😍
I took a break from watching beauty content because I can’t possibly want more makeup than I have at this moment lol but I have quickly been reminded that you are my favorite ~bEaUtY~ content creator/creator in general. keep up the greatness gurllll. #glowstick
I'm suddenly remembering that I wore the Becca Prismatic Amethyst and Lilac Geode highlighters as my daily "wear to class" looks in college. I should try wearing them again and see if I still vibe with it or if they're too 2018.
"Huda has always been very inclusive" I feel like I have no right to complain about my shade not being included given that I'm white. But I'm SUPER pale, and I feel that some brands don't have shades for me (that's a problem that I often face because I live in Brazil, and here brands do forget about us very pale individuals). Sometimes Huda is not _that_ inclusive.
Camille Bucci yes! I’m super pale too and just in the last year started finding foundation that actually looked good on my skin. No one made cool toned pale foundation and it’s so frustrating.
Ur valid love . Most of her shade range undertones are Soo off . I’m a POc and literally she doesn’t have a undertone that fits me and I’m a med-darkskin person
I lusted after the lime crime venus xl palette for sooo long, but this year so many better pink palettes have come out and I'm so glad I didn't buy it!
This was a really enjoyable video! I can't remember the last time I watched a video where someone discussed make up they were glad they didn't buy. Angelica Nyqvuist and Amy are the only ones that come to mind right now. Please do more like this!
Not buying the shane and jeffree pallet I felt pressured to buy it. But looking back im glad I didn't
I bought it even though I didn't like the colour story cause I wanted to support Shane at the time lmao and I had been saving for it for a while. I've barely used it and still don't like the colour story. Definitely a regret.
I was gifted it and I've only used it once. 🤦♀️
Same. The packaging is fricken amazing, ngl.. But the colors are lacking, for sure.
Although I have contemplated buying it, prying out the pans, and putting in different colors..

Look up Smokey glow gimmick makeup, she made a few a little while back
Ooohh I like this idea ❤️✨
the Shane x Jeffree star pallette

I want all the makeups. My boyfriend appreciates all you guys who talk me out of buying all the makeups. Thank you.
moral of the story: if it's 90 dollhairs and looks like a buttplug, don't buy it
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Words to live by 🤣🤣🤣
Unless it's an actual buttplug and that's what you're looking for. Then yes, by all means, go ahead.
dollhairs....

Who else says Hannah's intro along with her every time? It's a delight.
I say the outro 😅😅

If you want a coconut setting spray that is cheap, the elf one is $8 and it smells amazing.

I just bought too! Can’t wait 😊
"I guess I just thought hypothermia was a look" 😂😂😂
Catrice dewy glow setting mist is pretty much a dupe for the glam glow spray. I lusted after it too because Shaaanxo raved about it. Then i bought the catrice one and it's great.
@@staciecremeans1350 Taylor Wynn's affect. 😂 I feel you it took me awhile to purchase too.
Hannah your videos are getting me through this quarantine 😂🥰
Short sleeves Hannah?! Who is she, I dont know her.
Giovanna Vignoni where is her hoodie?!?!
I could listen to you for hours 🥺
You have literally helped me be a less compulsive buyer! I love you!
Hanna highlighted to the gods...”I don’t know if my highlight is showing up, but it’s basic” this is why I live for her!!!
One of my favorite youtubers! Thank you for putting out great content regularly it keeps me going :)
When I was first getting into makeup, one of my dreams was to own the Naked 3 palette. I’m so glad I never got that because I now know that I don’t like mauve tones on me, I’m not a fan of the UD eyeshadows, and I much prefer bright pinks and purples rather than muted ones!
Megan Hertz I bought it a couple years ago, felt like all the colors blended together and ya didn’t get many looks outta it
Megan Hertz naked 1 is way better
I'm sorry but you look so nice! The lighting, the makeup, the best friend vibes! Ugh
♡
I actually love the lighting in this, so cozy
I also was an Anastasia completionist up until the Alyssa Edwards palette but when the norvina palettes came out I really wanted them but I waited and I just picked up vol 1 on sale 30% off!! Love you and your channel😍
I'm so glad I didnt buy the Conspiracy pallete. I just do not like it. 🤭
Same with Bloodlust..... plus..... I dont like the crunchwrap packaging either.
Kourtney his only palettes that speak to are Blood Sugar and Jawbreaker( which i own and rearranged and messed it up)
Crunchwrap packaging 😂
I didn’t buy bloodlust because of the packaging and the color story wasn’t at ALL what I was expecting.
@@allisonsmith552 same reasons i didn't buy it
I truly agree that UA-cam reviews are a BLESSING. I try not to get something right away. I usually wait for the hype to die a little bit, that way I don’t have unrealistic expectations of the product.
I never thought I’d hear you say “I’m so glad I didn’t buy a $90 but plug lipstick.”
But here we are. 🔥
I’m super glad I never bought any JSC products.
honestly, drinking wine watching Hannah's new video is THE BEST PART OF ANY DAY
Lol I LOVED the prismatic highlight trend because I’m so pale it looks natural on me.
I love how self aware and honest you are! Thank you!
LIVING for these glowy looks 😍😍
Christen Dominique was the first place I went to learn makeup too! Her and Brianna Fox!
This is the first video I've seen of yours and you're so bubbly and likeable, I think I've found a new fav!
this video is honestly such a beautiful representation of self acceptance
Hannahhh!! I’m so happy to have you back on my yt feed 💛💛💛 I don’t even like makeup, or wear it, but I love hearing you talk about it!! Have a good day
The KVD triangle was called Alchemy. I love it!
Thank you!! I could not remember it!
Tara Gold the latte palette is my fave palette I love it more than soft glam
I’m in love with buying the mini size becca highlighter for exactly the same reason - they last me a couple years, are more affordable but hitting pan is achievable. Glad you mentioned that even tho you get a lot of product it’s not really worth it
THANK YOU for speaking so candidly about the setting mist scam. I'm very new to makeup and everyone made it seem like it was so necessary. I bought the hard candy one bc idk it was cheap. So milky and the mist was not fine at all. of course it was cheap, but still, I thought I was using it wrong somehow and felt so stupid
the setting spray rant!!!!! the majority are just nice smelling liquids in a spray bottle!!!
Thank you!
This angle & lighting is super flattering!
I’m with you on the Norvina vol 2 palette. I would never get enough use out of it. I’m also with you when it comes to setting sprays. I don’t feel like they do anything.
but can we talk about how gorgeous hannah looks?! loooove that shirt
HANNAH'S I BACK TO BLESS UA-cam WITH CONTENT EVERYONE
ok these last few videos you've looked even MORE stunning and beautiful? I don't know, you're glowing.
Hannah, I just wanted to say: thank you for making me feel like I have a friend in a time it is so easy to feel alone. Thank you for always giving me an intelligent insight from a perspective that I may not have thought of. You are like the friend that gives great advice, is always there for you, and saves you money. I hope you are doing well ♥️
OMG YOUR NEW MERCH IS BEAUTIFUL
Tati used to have a display of those $90 LB lipsticks in her videos a couple of years ago.
Love your video and T-shirt. Patiently waiting on your poshmark link 😉😆
Really enjoy these. Fun to be thankful for something in these times.
I like the lighting. It’s very ambient.
I’m loving the lighting! Your looks so cute and glowy💕
I work in a makeup place in Germany and i would use the fix+ because its not a setting spray it just melts your makeup beautifully with your skin
I'm on my comfy couch watching this lol. Thanks for the content😉
14:22 giiirl.. same!! Anything that I'm interested in, especially pricey items, I pull up YT and watch reviews from different creators that i trust. It's saved me SO much money! Lol. Also, the new Morphe dewy setting spray is the ONLY spray I love and use.
Yay a new video....cause I'm bored in the house and I'm in the house BORED
The kvd highlighting palette you were talking about was called the "achlemenist" palette
You look so good!!! I love your makeup in this video!!!
"Huda has always been very inclusive"
I feel like I have no right to complain about my shade not being included given that I'm white.
I’m very pale as well and have a neutral to yellow undertone and can never find an affordable foundation or concealer it’s all way to pink or dark
“$90 butt plug lipstick” is the phrase of the week.
I would love to see a video of products you would repurchase and brands that you support.
Thank you. I'm saving this video to listen to everytime I feel like spending money on makeup I don't need.
This top is so so cute on you!
