    Thank you Miriam for this post it really struck a point in my brain about how I come to expect the pain in my back and leg when I stand or walk. It doesn’t begin instantly but it gradually increases. I now feel I have a new direction to overcome this mental not physical problem. Again thanks for your positive input.

    I have learned this is true in my life. I even wake up some mornings after having unpleasant dreams and my glutes and hamstrings and calf muscles are tensed up, and it takes some reasoning with myself to get things to relax. Often, I have to head into work before I'm able to get my muscles fully back to normal.

      Same here! I wake up almost every morning with incredibly tense muscles resulting from unpleasant dreams.

      @@merysmily I don't have any idea how to make my dreams better. I can reason with myself when I'm awake, and that works... but controlling one's dreams would seem impossible. :(

    Thank you. I've got primiformis syndrome/ sciatica. I don't get any rest from the pain. I do have other back issues. Could primiformis/ sciatica be TMS ?

      Piriformis and sciatica are almost ALWAYS TMS, they manifest just due to tense muscles in the area. The only exceptions are if you've just injured yourself very recently or if you have any growth that may be affecting the nerves and muscles in the area.

      Thank you, I can now work on mind body disorder. I do have facet joint degenerative disease, however this wouldn't cause primiformis/ sciatica. I'm thinking. I may consider joining your program. Thank you again.
