Fusso really kicked ass here!!!
Thanks so much for including us in this test!
All the best,
Steve & Shiv
Thanks so much for supporting the channel guys!
Brilliant video Specky, really enjoyable watch. I've no shame in saying that i'd have put my own money on the Fusso in a durability test, before the test even started, an absolute beast of a sealant! Surreal is our 'all rounder' and as such is a balance of protection and gloss, which i think you can see from the oil content. I'm really enjoying how your channel is developing and just wanted to say keep up the great work!
Too kind! 💖
Thank you very much for the test. I enjoy your submission. In all the tests of wax products of various kinds, the surface is tested in the water drain before washing and also after several washes. What about tests of the wax for contamitments, protection from ultraviolet rays and more?
Great comparison, it's crazy how strong Fusso is. I used it on a car a couple of years ago and even over a year later the water behaviour was still just about there. I don't use it so much any more because it's virtually impossible to remove as you showed haha. That infinity wax one looked really good, I'll have to add that to my wish-list
Cheers Heather, it's bonkers stuff! I prefer a product I can reapply regularly for the freshness and ability to change when I want
Been using BH double speed wax for the past 2 years, I love it's durability and hardness for the money, it's known for a better gloss than many other cheaper waxes.
The only thing I don't like is that it can be a bit grabby when buffing.
I just bought a tin of Fusso though. It doesn't have a great gloss but you can top it with something like mirror shine.
Yes it's grabbyness reminds me of Sonax BSD.
@@SpeckyMcSporran Not tried that one matey, but as an ex-valeter and hobby detailer I have tried a few.
I quite rated Maguiars ultimate paste wax for it's gloss and hydrophobicity but it wasn't too durable. Plus it was a bit messy (think white stains on all the black rubber).
I just bought soft99 fusso coat and soft99 mirror shine, after watching a few reviews (yours included).
I plan on base wax fusso then mirror shine on top.
Thanks for the reply great channel sir.
I Always apply a Double coat on Fusso. The durability is unbelievable, after 2 months it beads like a just applied wax.
It's insane
Best wax test I’ve viewed. Thank you!
Thank you so much!
If you‘re willing to repeat the test (at least partially), here‘s a suggestion: if a wax is sweating and you‘re dipping the applicator into it, you‘re mainly picking up carrier oils - which in turn is what you then apply.
If a wax is sweating, what I suggest and always recommend to people is that they first „finger“ the wax surface a bit so that the ingredients mix again.
This alone could explain why the ODK wax performed so poorly in this test. I also made the experience that the ODK performs MUCH better if you let it cure for much longer (~30min).
May be worth a second try.
Good shout there! 👍🏻
Great tip thanks
Great comparison, amazing the difference between them all. I use fusso and DSW myself, any chance of a comparison between the new and old recipes of the mighty fusso?
Something Id like to see , not many companies make a product worse if the rumours are true
That's the plan for a future video 🤞
@@SpeckyMcSporran fantastic, really looking forward to it!
I have most of these, all good waxes bro 👍🏻 Fusso gets a bad name because most people dont use it correctly, if applied thin onto prepped paint its a joy tou use. I find The infinity wax graphene is best if applied then removed after 30 seconds or so, had lots or trial and error with it but once you get used to it its probably the most glossy wet looking hydrophobic wax i have used
I might try my gloss meter for a gloss test in the future 🤔
@@SpeckyMcSporran that would be good. Infinity waxes are renowned for their oily nature producing a very wet look
Actual scientific gloss increase, i dont know ha
The angle of the panel has a marked affect on the dispersal of the water. You really need to use a panel that is flat and angled down so that all the waxes are being treated equally.
This was very clear and informative. I’ll need see what is available in my area.
Fusso also has a high gloss version that you should try.
Would love to see a comparison between multiple Infinity Waxes, especially the Diablo since its PTFE.
Hi Folks, I've a Cappuccino Beige Skoda Superb (think pale gold) and I had it detailed with a single srage machine polish and finished off with a Fusso Soft 99 giving 12 months protection and whilst the finish is amazing I was wondering if theres a wax/coating out there that can make the paintwork pop even more than it does but retain a similar length of protection.... I appreciate that pale colours are never going to achieve the same visual depth of gloss that darker colours can achieve
I use BH Double Speed Wax, works great for me and I've still loads left after a few years use.
It's still a great wax and excellent value for money.
great review, did you cover turtle wax at the end?
Hi Specky, good review. A lot of people rave about BH Double Speed but I found in real life it died in two months of use on a vehicle & there is a reason why its cheap. Fusso have a quality set of products and Im yet to be disappointed with any I have tried. You can give the white coat back to your local butcher now 🤣🤣
Thank you Martin, now get back to your pipe and slippers 🤣
Martin, you couldn't wait 2 week's till you added more protection at alone 2 months .
They don't call you Martin 100 coats for nothing haha
Guilty of such things myself
@@jezlucas3878 🤣🤣👍
Given it benefits their already good reputation for durability, I would hope Soft99 would send you a tin of the new Fusso Coat to use in a future product comparison/test. Also, it would be good to see how Wax Planet Xodis, Autoglym UHD and Collinite 476 would compare to Soft99 new or old. Great video btw.
Check out my last test for auto glym and Collinite results 👍
How do you tell the original vs. new version of Fusso? Is there something obvious on the container? Don't want to get robbed....
The tin it comes in is quite different, larger text and a more modern look
Brilliant Testing - Shame that Fusso isn’t available - on your next test throw Collinite 915 in to the mix !
If someone sends me some then I'll give it a go 👍
Get the fusso please. Would love to see the comparison. Great test. Thank you for doing these videos.
I've got an old half tin of Collinite 476s, should I bin it.? How would it compare to any of these,??
Great video btw....
Thank you John.
Don't bin it, 476s is still a good wax, it's just showing it's age compared to more modern blends.
Maybe a few other products to chuck into your new/old fusso test being Infinity Wax diablo (Micheal Cipriani compares it to fusso), monstershine ceramic which boast (I've yet to home test) 12 months durability.
Another product as well as the garage therapy shampoo, ez cc reset (mjm detailing diaries states its a neat tfr for wax removal).
Great video and I love the podcast, a few differing views to the speed 6 guys but good for this weekend warrior to learn about other products 👍
Thank you for the feedback and suggestions 🙌🏻
red pen in the pocket is a nice touch and I love the anemone on your lapel😳🤣...now I'll watch the vid🙄🤣
Haha that's my pet anemone, you can tell because he's on a lead 😂
they sell the old and the new version of the fusso wax
Bought the new fusso dark but didn’t get to use it yet. Would be interesting to see how the new fusso holds up 👍
I'll get some soon 🤞
What did you actually put onto the waxes when you washed them, is it like a snowfoam? Also once waxed will snowfoam or shampoo take the wax off or will the wax still act the same (I use autoglym products)
I used Garage Therapy /Zero: Decon Shampoo diluted at 10:1. It can be used as a snowfoam if you like but they're developing a dedicated snowfoam. If you watch the results you'll see how they behave after a clean.
Brilliant video. Great comparison
Would love to see the new vs old fusso.
What about trying the soft99 kiwami as it’s current against the IW graphene as in my opinion IW is to expensive.
I wish I could try every wax going, I've heard good things about Kiwami.
@@SpeckyMcSporran there’s something about applying a wax I’m a massive wax fan. I’ve seen some of your stock and I’m very envious. I’ve found the original fusso for sale so I’m going to order some now quick
If you can get some then do it now! I know what you mean, waxing is very therapeutic 👌
@@SpeckyMcSporran ordered it today buddy. Thanks for the video can’t wait to see future wax comparisons.
Enjoyed that Specky! The ODK product is a synthetic wax which is what Fusso Coat and Simple Wax Armour are too 👍🏻
👍
I wonder if you can obtain Zaino in your country . If so, I recommend that you test their products because they are first-rate . The UA-cam wax tests always seem to miss Zaino .
Sadly Zaino isn't a popular brand here. I know I'm of them but haven't heard anyone talk about them in years.
Great video. Would also like to see the new fusso line up against the old fusso
Me too, watch this space 👍
I just used a ceramic spray. It's working ok. But I fancy using wax then ceramic spray between washes. Is this a good way or a waste.
Depends what the ceramic spray is. You can use a detailing spray after each wash but I wouldn't use anything on a car between washes.
@@SpeckyMcSporran I've tried Maguire's ceramic spray. It's holding up well. Quarter of a bottle left after 8 weeks use. Still working well. No wax on the car. Just polished, clay bar etc.
You've used three quarters of a bottle in 8 weeks? That's a lot. You might be better off with a long term base protection and a QD after each wash as a topper/refresher.
@@SpeckyMcSporran It took almost half a bottle with initial use and second hit
That's a lot of product to use
All well and good but I can get 250kg of... sorry, had to do it.
Not really surprised that Fusso kicked ass as well as it did, I'm still a little baffled why they changed it.
Haha don't start that or I'll set Paul on you!
I really want to try the new Fusso now, just to see how much it changed.
On your next test you should use Malco Blueberry wax. Its the only one I know that can compete with fusso.
Really? I'll look for it 👍🏻
Have you had a chance to compare old and new Fusso Coat?
Not yet but I have a feeling that will be happening soon 🤞🏻
A great 'Group Thrash' here Specky. Really enjoyed this video.
Tell you what. That Fusso 'Orginal blend' is gonna go up in value soon - Just like old vintage Trainers... Pooh!🤣
Ageing like fine wine 👌
Would be good to see a video on old Fuso coat vs new.
That's on my list to film this year
@@SpeckyMcSporran excellent, will keep an eye out for that one.
The doctor will see you now.....
Very good test, was expecting better from the graphene/titanium product... Suppose that's how we have been conditioned. Infinity graphene performed better than I thought as I wasn't impressed by the spray version.
Great test, shame about fusso.
Old Vs new fusso coming to the channel soon.
Now, cough please 😁
Thats exactly why I bough the exact fusso for storage. Old one, light one. No issues with application ever. Holds against anything. Will keep the can for my grandson ;) I still have the other one and use sometimes or friends cars. For mine tend to lean to zymols as I just love to use them.
I'm keeping my original Fusso Coat can in a safe with my will for a reason. 😊
Haha quite right! 🤣
Hi Specky, can you next time test the waxes from madcow? And tell what you think?
If they send me some I'll be sure to make a video but I have such a backlog that I'm not purchasing any new products at the moment.
Turtle Wax #1
Great video and always well thought through. 👍🏻
🙌
I just bought the old one.
Using a product that is not available makes the test disappointed, looking forward to the new Fusso being tested! Good test thanks.
You can still get the old fusso in the United States with the exception of California
I have 4 cans of the old fusso
I am set for life
Also people should know you can top the fusso after a 24 hr cure with Fusso King Of Gloss ( lasts 3-6 months ) or Mirror shine which lasts 3 months. The mirror shine is a breeze to use wipe it on wipe it off and great gloss.
Come on builthamber dubble speed wax u can do this
Umm...
@@SpeckyMcSporran after ur last test with the turtel wax.(which i couldnt get in ireland) i bought the dubble speed wax. And i think its brill.
Honestly it's a cracking wax and brilliant value for money 👍
Its like you knew the kettle had boiled , got biscuits ( cookies for you americans ) . Got Double Speed but prefer my Soft99 waxes over it for looks and application etc . Fusso is good but I loved using their Kiwami wax over Fusso and King Of Gloss . Dont know how anyone can justify the price of some of these . Yes they MAYBE great but I wouldnt spend £130 on a wax to discover I dont like using it . The Absolute wax , could it sound anymore Scottish how you say it ? Im almost out of the OLD Fusso so will look at reviews side by side before getting more but it shows why its such a fantastic product , pity the gloss isnt as good as others which is why many say add Kiwami or KOG on top .
Been looking forward to this bud ,still say you look like you should be working in Ian Beales chippy in that coat
Salt n vinegar? 😎
@@SpeckyMcSporran isnt someone local ish able to borrow you a tin of the newer blend ? If I had some Id send it up to you for testing save buying a tin if you have loads left from the older tin
I don't know anyone personally but I might ask around
@@SpeckyMcSporran hopefully someone will see this and offer a tin up to test with
🤞
When I heard it was no longer made I bought 10 tins of old Fusso.
I still have 9 tins of the old Fusso left.
Its a brilliant long lived wax, but Fusso coat doesnt give the best colour warmth.
True, synthetic waxes are better for sharp reflection on lighter colours. You can top it with other waxes that might enhance the warmth.
Interesting results!
Hoping to do a "real world durability" test soon 🤞
Brilliant! Are you Glasgow based?!
No I'm in North Aberdeenshire
Great video although should have only used products that can be purchased now not discontinued lines. 👍👍👍👍
I'll be testing the new version soon
For the money, the DSW is very hard to beat in terms of ease of use, gloss, hydrophobicity and usage with the BH product lines. Not so fussed about the TW. For the money, TW Hybrid sealant is a quarter the cost and lasts just as long. The rest of them were out of the budget. The fusso coat is very hard to beat in durability. I usually have to take it off with a few hits of decon shampoo and Meg Wash plus+, after 8 months. That is my winter wax as it does last all autumn and winter I use DSW for the summer wax as I can get 4 months out of it.
Interesting that different people have differing results. If I wanted a long term wax then Fusso would be my pick, especially as you say for winter. DSW may not have fared well in this test but it was a much tougher method of attack and the value for money is fantastic 👍
@@SpeckyMcSporran I've seen people get different results when applying a paste wax by simply using a different panel wipe. I tend to stick to be cleaner fluid as a pre wax Cleanser.
Soft99 the king
Not sure how many times Fusso has to defend its crown as the best paste wax😂! Although this time the Infinty Wax put up a worthy fight!
It's the best for endurance but I'll be interested to see how I'd compares for gloss
@@SpeckyMcSporran it won’t be the glossiest when you put a gloss meter on it. However it’s been scientifically proven the human eye can’t tell the difference between 5 gloss number units. So if one is 95 and Fusso is 91 then Fusso would lose that battle by numbers but the human eye can’t tell difference. Also I had no problem buying the old version of Fusso on Amazon 2 weeks ago.
Hi, new subscriber. Good wax review
Thanks Billy 👊
AG UHD kicks all these products their butts!
Just aFYI, thanks for not including the kindergarten music in the main video, or i would have clicked away. Can’t stand it.
I'll stick with my Bilt Hamber - have most of their products and they are top-notch. Sure it doesn't last as long, but it's easy on, easy off and a fraction of the cost of those expensive ones. Having said that, I'm very impressed by Fusso, so I shall wait with bated breath (or even minty breath) for your New Fusso test - and see whether or not it is as critics say, a lesser product. ;-)
So the winner is a product we cannot get😁.
Some places still have stock if you want it
@@SpeckyMcSporran Would you know where, Specky ?
I googled it last night and found a few on Amazon and eBay.
@@SpeckyMcSporran Great thank you.
Should have bought some new fusso rather than a lab coat 🥼😝
Coat was cheaper 😂
New fusso is just as good
Infinity Wax send you a large free tub all the way up North to yours but want £10 for DELIVERY ONLY to Banchory because it's in the Highlands...... think they need a new atlas.
Good vid though!
I know what you mean, I think it's the couriers that determine pricing for delivery which sucks. If you bring a wee pot I'll give you a scrape off the top 😂
Unfortunately its DPD that make up the prices
Guessed that 👍
@@SpeckyMcSporran 😂😂😂
Autoglym UHD Wax ? Forgotten ? 🤷🏻♂️
Not forgotten, it didn't perform as well as the BH or TW waxes in the last test so it wasn't included.
Soft99 muito top
Yes, Dr. Speckystein!
Here's my medical advice, don't try eating these 👍
