I apologize for my lack of attention to the informality of eating pizza in a place of worship, and I will surely be more mindful next time I have an organ appointment that aligns with lunch time. As for the turbulence of the "camera/photo apparatus", here is the same video, but with the turbulent bits cut out so that you can enjoy without "headaches" ua-cam.com/video/bJgucb_aQiA/v-deo.html

I once tuned a 2/5 Style 150 WURLITZER for an ATOS event. It was the only organ I have ever tuned that gave me a headache. I'm sure it was a real screamer in the small theatre that was its original home. 😊

What an amazing organ in a fabulous acoustic. The French voicing is just awesome and so was the playing by Daniel Carroll - what a rising star! You look to have had a great visit, Charles, though after such a 'beefy' instrument . . . sushi would fail to satisfy my hunger pangs! Bravo!

Pretty tough to beat a Cavaille-Coll organ. This is not a Cavaille-Coll but it comes pretty close. Well done.

0:45 in case anyone was wondering that's "Final" opus 27.7 from Marcel Dupre's Seven Pieces, though my personal favorite from that suite is 27.4 "Carillon"
and 2:54 the sound of just the foundations is so so sweet :)

Keep the camera steady please although I read that this is the movement-edited (for the better) version. But, diziness aside, the gentleman in the blue shirt was enjoying himself as much as I enjoyed listening to the organ's capacity through his hands and feet and then came along another blue (Tshirt) individual who also knew what he was doing. The organ's place in the future seems assured.

Actually, Cavaille-Coll preferred to have the Grand Orgue be the middle manual on 3-manual instruments due to how much more complex the mechanics had to be when having the Positif be the middle manual, but the organists of the day usually requested the reverse, with the G.O. on the bottom. There's one C-C organ, however, where he was able to install it the way he wanted, with the G.O. manual in the middle, because there was no high-profile organist demanding the reverse! I learned this from Fugue State Films' DVD documentary about Cavaille-Coll.

I'm not sure whether or not you are familiar with the beliefs of Catholics (and Orthodox) - but The King of Kings and Lord of Lords is truly and substantially present in their Sacrament: in this church, He is there in the Tabernacle near that little lamp in the Sanctuary. His churches are for prayer and holy things: nothing profane in His presence. Read the text of the great hymn "Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence." That's the proper disposition when entering Catholic and Orthodox churches. There are places for eating and witty banter - but His temple is not that place. Thank you for demonstrating the organ nonetheless.
