Actually, it controls James Sunderland, when you play silent hill 2, you take place as the dog, controlling James through it, and what’s odd is it’s apparently canon that Mira (the dog) controls him, idk why but it apparently is
@@Dia-xm4ov it’s kinda out of the way, but if you own James Sunderland in Dead By Daylight you get a charm called Dog Rules which has the description “imagine your life being controlled by a dog” and in addition on one of the panels in Silent Hill 2 you can see James and Maria’s face, maybe implying Mira controls them both, although that’s just a theory someone I knew said and kinda spread from there, it seems like it’s correct to me, but it might not be, make of it what you wanna ig
@@jimhuffman9434 I don't know, I think I'd just be upset and dumbfounded! I mean, the way James falls to his knees, and goes on fours like a dog..... maybe he is the real dog, just jumping through emotional hoops and all that
This will never not be hilarious to me. A dog pulling all the strings, no animation of the door opening when James walks through it and then James just suddenly speaking Japanese, out of nowhere. It feels so thrown together at the last minute and I'm all for it.
These type of things happens on every videogames in cutscenes if the camera is showing something that's shouldn't be seen on-screen, like some of the characters will be T-posing, teleporting, odd behavior, etc. including objects moving by itself or doing other strange things
I love that James speaks Japanese for no reason here. The fact that Guy Cihi doesn't speak Japanese and sounds very unsure when he says it fits very well to the scene
I love how they also did this dog ending in remake with including James somehow speak in Polish and the low quality dog model. Too bad the remake didn't include the funny picture during credit roll.
the dog sadly died, but was reincarnated into a husky controlling a giant war machine that looks like a giraffe capable of destroying cities with a single blast of its railgun
If I remember from someone else. No one wanted to voice for the dog ending. Because they saw no purpose in it, and didn't think it was funny. Hopefully it'll be in English in the remake
One day with the world on fire and political civil wars breaking out during international wars and resource wars and cultural implosions and harambe dying someone is gonna try to find their wife and discover the true source of the world’s problems
A Shiba Inu controlling Silent Hill actually explains a lot.

Sure glad James didn't start flicking coins into the air
He's hasn't lost his mind that much
In a way, this ending is the most terrifying. To find out a *dog* put you through all that torture is just...terrifying
The game is about how under trauma the worst in people can be awakened... only to learn it was all according to dog's design!
I don't konw if I'd call it terrifying, but if I found out a dog was the reason for all my torment, I would definitely lose my marbles as well

Fun fact: the song playing in the headphones of Mira the Shiba Inu is "In My Eyes" Reiwo. A song Akira Yamaoka composed for a DDR game.
thank you
i dont care

Shiba Inus are so cute...
Agreed
More games should have goofy endings like this.
0:10 Wait did james just clip through the door 😂
The game wasn't designed for wide-screen so that's why you see glitches like that
@@superwhizz114 shh its cannon now james is a magical being * James starts his magical girl transformation*
He was so shocked, he had to respond in a different language
American James is learning Japanese in the original and Polish in the remake
0:11 he passed THROUGH the door!!!
Least unusual thing to happen in Silent Hill.

Bro became a gta npc by walking throw it 😂💀💀
Its cuz game was originaly 4:3 so developers didnt bother about the door, but because of 16:9 you can see it
Please ignore the man behind the curtain. XD
That’s easy to do because there *is* no man here!
Always wondered what the dog ending was!
How long did you live not knowing?
I can't believe the dog used facebook in the 90's
Looking back, this ending is 100% an inspiration for Toby Fox and his dog room
Too bad Frisk didn't prey for the dog there

oh now I understand why James was speaking Polish in the remake. Cause he spoke Japanese in the OG dog ending. That's actually really funny
Can't wait for remake... if released faulty, then just for this ending.
I love how he just noclips through that door without opening it.
I really wish I can meet Mira
0:10-0:11 woah James phased through the door wall thing. 😮
HAHAH, when I saw this weird endings it made it clear, that the all thing was in his head. James went crazy.
I'm sure there's no dog around
I really wanna know what song plays in the background in the scene before the dog song ending.
Riewo - In my eyes

I think the plan was always to say it in Japanese. Guy Cihi is fluent in Japanese and was an English teacher based in Japan
