Dude, Gyrados is Water/FLYING water is weak to grass but flying is resistant so it does regular damage. Electric does 4x the damage. GUYS PLEASE LIKE THIS SO HE SEES

If you want to know the cp after it runs away then go to your journal and it will tell you :) a 1385 vaporeon ran from me and it was ??? At the time :(((

how to dodge attacks in gyms: when you see a bunch of white lines right when the defending pokemon is about to attack and you will dodge it. But some moves can't be dodged ex: heat wave
*swipe when u see the lines (u'll have like half of a second to do that) but most big moves the defending pokemon will use when they are at half health. so expect a big move at half heath. so stop attacking around half health so u can dodge

All moves can be dodged. Even heat wave or blizzard. Just dont confuse yourself with the animation, and swipe after the yellow flash.!
Oh man, I hate being 'that guy' but you dodge wrong. You have to swipe when that flash comes on when the opponent is attacking.

Just coming down here to say that. Dodging a bunch of times willy-nilly doesn't work; timing is everything.

chase Decker When the enemy is attacking, you can see a flash of white (some people say it's yellow) lines go across the screen in a circle. Do a practice attack and just let your pokemon get hit a couple times so you can see what we're talking about.

I have an gym in spain it is a village where only 2 farmers live the only way to get there is walk or with the bike it is a hill up and a lot of walking me and my friend got there took the gym and got away but we don't live in spain we got there as a vacation almost have it for 2 months 😂😂😂

Great videos! And I've had many lag problems when attacking a gym, somehow a few of my Pokemons don't use their ability in time. Niantic needs to do something about it.

Yeah man, that "error" thing happens more often now than it was before especially for longer fights. Just take a drive out of the range of it and then come back and usually it'll be fixed. I have a bunch of gyms close by so I usually take those out and come back and no more error message anymore. And yeah dodging is awesome! Saves a lot of potions and revives. Those are precious resources if you're doing a lot of gyms.
A tip on the error issue, it's the worst, kills all the fun. I logged out of my account and logged back in and it worked. I like watching you, you're a good kid.

Hey Mystic7, here's an advice.
You should wait your basic attack animation to finish before you complete charging your special move, if you charge before (b4 your basic attack animation finishes), you special move won't be casted.
If you look in your videos, pokemons with fast attacks, like Vaporeon with Water Gun, it's easy to cast hydro pump, and pokemons like Victreebel, it's harder.
Hey @Mystic I really hope you see this! But instead of swiping right to dodge, swipe left and right left and right repeatedly and over an over until it says dodged. I find that I doge more attacks that way!
It has happened to me also recently, so you're not the only one. Although I have managed to get back into the gym that it glitched on and train it up again.

Reset your location services in your settings when you get the error message. It clears your gps and when you reload the game it will allow you to continue

I got that problem once before and I think what fixed it was going out of range of the gym and then coming back, but I'm not sure if that was what fixed it or if it was something else.
Good counters for Gyradoses are Electric. That means Raichu, Electrode, Jolteon, maybe Porygon w/ thundershock. Or Pokemon that have a rock type primary attack, but aren't rock type themselves. I'm not sure what's fit under that category. Maybe Kabotops, or Omastar.
I just recently had the same problem aus you, although it was while training a gym not claiming it. What helped me, was relogging into my Account.

Yeah its a big problem for me too I've done the same exact thing. Took out a level 9 or 10 gym then at about level 3 it errors you out. The best way to fix this is to have a friend from mystic take the rest of it out for you because for some reason when its error screening you out it will still let other people battle it and clam it still.
What software do you use to record your phone screen?
You have to dodge when the screen flashes with the side lines or it won't dodge. Even if you dodge, you still take 25% damage.
Tips to all and mystic7 if u got that error message just like in the video, try to drive away from that gym until u cannot see that gym in the map of your pokemon go after that go back to the gym and you can attack that gym again. worked for me :D
yes I get the error crap too after fighting a few times. I thought it was because a different team may have started battling before I got a chance to go in again. I don't know exactly. It sucks tho

I think there is a limit on how many times that you can attack gym cause it's actually pretty normal for my and friends when we try to take out big gyms
You should just wait the yellow flash before swiping. thats how to dodge attacks boss. You can perfectly dodge every attack timingly.

you said that it has 2 big grass type attacks but tail whip isnt a grass type attack
When u get error in Gym battles switch your first attacking pokemon to 1 you didnt use b4 that did not receive the error message
It happens to me too if I've been battling a gym for a while. Sometimes I'll go to another gym and battle that one for a little and then head back to the first one and it'll work. Niantic needs to fix it though. I shouldn't have to battle another gym just to fix the error message.

mystic the victoribell and the eggexcutor wasnt super effective because gyrdos is also f a flying type with water so i negates the super effective to just regular damage
How do I add my own Pokémon into a red gym. Anytime I go to one, it doesn't give me the option to put it in the gym. I can only fight the gym, but with one pokemon

Little tip: gyarados is water and flying, so if you use an electabuzz or molten or raichu with some electric attacks, it will do 4x damage.
I have had the same issue with gyms, i still havent fixed it, but its even worst for me bc i cant start a battle, its always an error
when you get so early that the quality is 360p, so you click out of the video and wait for it to be at least 720p
IF you have error problem in gmy just restart game. After that, first walk around catch a pokemon or visit pokemonstop and then baci to the gmy.

That happened too me yesterday so people were there battling and I put it for mystics team at the park
it's happened to me. it usually happens when someone from the same team comes and tries to level up the gym WHILE i'm trying to take it down. or if my GPS drifts and says im too far awawy, even though i havent moved. i get so maddddd
The error has happened to me multiple times in the past few days as well. Btw Jolteon's are very good against Gyarados if you can get your hands on one.

For I phone users if you get the glitch while gym battling, go to setting and turn location on and off and that should fix it:)
When the screen flashes yellow with the special attack thats when you need to dodge, otherwise it doesnt count...
a gym break only happened once to me. but it still sucked because I was down to the final gym pokemon a rhydon

That happens to me at a Gym up the street from my house. Sometimes it won't even let me get into the Gym.
That happens to me so often! Sometimes I get a gym down to like lvl 1-2 and it just glitches out and says error. I've tried every way I can think of to fix it and nothing works. So annoying

yeah that is a problem for me too... it's been less common recently but it still happens and it's super annoying
If you stay on your dodges use Jolteon against Gyarados instead. Gyarados is Flying/Water, so grass only does normal damage against it. But Electric gives you double the effect. A low level Jolteon can drop almost any Gyarados as long as you are on top of your dodges.
for that error message try using another pokemon to start fighting with ... works for me sometimes

I've had the same error - go to another gym and battle or train once and then return to the one that gave you the error. It's always worked for us.
