OH MY GOD, THAT ENDING! The labyrinth is an interesting place, really cool to see so many different sides, characters and events happening in one episode.
Enjoy my reaction to Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Episode 23.
Thanks for watching!

It makes sense for Frieren to open chests that test as mimics. She is long-lived enough she'll see far more than 100 chests that test positive on the 99% accurate mimic detection spell, she can get out of them on her own if she has to, and she seems to be fairly resistant to mimic bites. In a numbers game, if there's little risk, roll for the 1% chance every time.
What gets me about the ringlet scene is how incredibly miserable Frieren looks and sounds, despite it not being a big issue! It makes the scene all the more funnier!
1:54 - I mean, we kinda have seen snippets of dungeons before, but only the parts where Frieren is being eaten by a mimic.
2:35 - Frieren breaking the barrier is precisely the sort of thing Sense is referring to! First Class mages need to have the willpower and imagination necessary to do things nobody has ever done before.
8:44 - I bet if you searched Himmel's home you'd find all the consumable items he never used "just in case"
10:24 - You know, I don't blame Lawine and Kanne for not wanting to group up with the guy who literally tried to murder them a few days ago.
11:46 - You'd think by now Frieren would learn a "Mage Hand" spell or something to open chests from a distance.
12:07 - That spell might be 99% accurate, but you miss 100% of the loot from chests you don't open, right? :)))
23:33 - One thing I think is kinda neat is that even if the copies are evenly matched, the fact that they cannot speak means that Wirbel's guidance could be a real advantage for the real team.
Wirbel said it best: They're all carrying baggage from the first exam where Genau pretty much set them all against each other in a battle royale.
Sense's and Denken's desire for the examinees to function as a team was pretty much scuttled from jump.
Ep 23 is a great example of slow burn tension building with one of the best "Oh Shit!" stingers in the last minute.
Getting caught up after being able to binge is such a pain.
Trueeee - but it also means I could go and binge Shangri-La Frontier 😂
Sense just reminds me of Cousin Itt
Yay you're finally caught up 🎉
Also, it was Serie's barrier that Frieren broke during the first test, not Sense's
I meant Sense said she's going the impossible by breaking the barrier, so they should promote her by that standard already 😅
Regarding the mimics, just imagine if you have a near perfect memory even after 1000 years and will probably always wonder what that chest could have been, are not really threatened outside of unpleasantness if it's a mimic and have the completionist bug and are a spell hoarder. What would you do?
I'm a loot goblin, if it's not strapped down to the ground, it's coming with me 😂😂
lol fair enough!@@Pawsanime
a boss in a boss room with boss music
Hi Paws
And unless I’m wrong there’s a 3rd test after this
Only thing Himmel missed out on is the Frieren romance.
UFF :
He accidentally chose a single wrong dialogue option
Thank you for sharing 😊
Himmel's love for dungeon is so hot. is he single
I think he's alone in his grave, ya. Single.. I think he was taken a long time ago 😅
You got a mirror and didnt react?
it was my 2nd time getting one, but yes, I just picked it up and kept mapping 😅
@@Pawsanime Gotta keep being efficient 😛. Sometimes I also reach the point where I min/maxed all the joy out of a game. Wonder what it would be like to play super casually.
I mean, the animation uses the same style as Mushoku Tensei, if you have watched maybe thats where the impression of familiarity came from
No, although that is on my to watch list too. It's just the hairstyle itself, the color and style of it 😅, I've seen it before. I'll eventually remember
@@Pawsanimeshe has the same hair and eyes as Aizawa from MHA, but that's probably not who you mean since it's very different besides that. I agree she does look familiar though, might just be because many anime designs use common parts to make new characters and overlap a lot
