The one thing keeping people safe from the ants on Jeju island is how isolated it is being an island. Now it seems that the ants are evolving wings at an accelerated rate. It won't be to long for them to evolve and have long distance flight and when that happens the ocean will stop being a natural barrier.
It's a good thing the guy insisted to send an expedition there and didn't give up on it Will be cool to see the evolution of the island dwellers and the upcoming battles

Ya, crunchyroll already announced season 2 but no air date yet. A leaker apparently leaked they there 6 season planned so if that's true then I don't think each season will be 24 episodes. They will stay at 12 episodes if they are doing 6 seasons.
I really do hope they do 24 episodes instead of 12, but time will tell. I am super hyped for season 2, fingers crossed it's fall and not winter season for it

The truth: There is no choice, but an ILLUSION of choice. The previous Shadow Monarch CHOSE Jin Woo to be his successor. Even if Jin Woo become a Necromancer or a Mage or a Warrior or whatever, he will eventually still become the Shadow Monarch through some convoluted Job Advancement quest that the System will eventually cook up. The end goal has always been to turn Jin Woo into the Shadow Monarch. The System is something like a Program that is adaptive and sentient that the Shadow Monarch developed to have Jin Woo slowly inherit his powers and adapt to it, instead of blowing up from inheriting the whole of it in one shot with his frail human body. In truth the System is more like a limiter or floodgate instead. It restricts the power of the Shadow Monarch that Jin Woo can use, and only lets Jin Woo use more and more of it in the form of "levelling up" and growing stronger. It had been tempering Jin Woo's body to become stronger and stronger to be able to withstand the full power of the Shadow Monarch. The original plan was to have the System develop Jin Woo until he is strong enough to serve as the vessel of the Shadow Monarch and then completely take over Jin Woo's body eventually, to descend and incarnate as the Shadow Monarch in our world, but the Shadow Monarch changed his mind and decided to bet on Jin Woo. He will willingly pass Jin Woo the entirety of his powers and memories and then fade away in peace, making Jin Woo the successor Shadow Monarch.
