Handling Client Hospitality: Do you Accept or Politely Decline?

As a mobile notary, I often encounter kind clients who offer water or snacks during appointments. While I appreciate the gesture, I have a personal rule of politely declining food or drinks, especially if I don’t know them well.
Is it rude to decline? Or, do you accept & dispose of later?
