The song is called The Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomand. And supposedly was a written by a 1745 Scottish Jacobite upriser who was captured and condemed to hang. Supposedly he wrote this song to another prisoner who was to be set free.
literally just watched this episode and had to look up this awesome instrumental, thanks for the post!
Bruh same!
I know is very difficult to find but its real name is "Loch Lomond" or "Red is the rose". I didn't find it too it's for this reason that I recorded it from Smallville.
It's a wonder how they haven't put this song in a music box yet. Where the heck is one, It's perfect to put my arse to sleep at night
Me too! It's called "Loch Lomond". I've tried to find the music box version, but I haven't been able to find it yet. I've found a site that has other versions of it that are nice too.

The first time I watched this episode, I thought that the moment when it goes through the clock was going to be a clever way of doing a flashback, like once we were back outside the clock, the scene would have changed to a moment from Lex's past, when he first heard the song or whatever.
I was almost right, as the song does turn out to be a song Lex remembers from childhood and he's clearly remembering it as he hears it, we just don't see what he remembers.
Now it makes sens ! I have already heard that refrain, in the Disney movie Lady and the tramp (Jock) x)
The reason this Lex becomes Prrsident of USA post Smallvile he is prepared to combat any and all Alien tnreats to AMERICA
Smallville season 7 ep19
Imagine if a clock chimes has to be custom build on the tune of Loch Lomond.
