It’s so sad to see people these days think he’s overrated, they don’t understand how influential he was back then.
fax bro
Hearing prime em on a remix was like wayne or drake. Just that overwhelming starpower
People just don’t remember how different he was back then and how sure it might not sound super different or creative today because his styles and things he came up with have just become common place in rap these days. Sigh
Still is...
No one thinks that hes a legend!
If you wonder why Eminem is so reserved and keeps to himself, it is because when he became famous, everything about his life was open to the public. He put a lot of his family and legal issues in songs, while the media dug up more that didn't make it into his music. Countless news stories and documentaries were made about his troubled life. Today, Eminem is super private. He regrets a lot of the personal stuff that were made public. He just wants privacy for his family and himself. I can respect that
Amen. Eminem deserves that👍
Don’t blame him, I’m that way. I’m very private
Everbody SHOULD respect this
He does? Hahaha dudes woke af
@@RocketSauce51i Hope the same things happens to you
He has suffered so much trauma. He is really a inspiration for being able to overcome anything

imagine being the guy who didn’t show up to court which saved eminem’s rap career
Imagine getting shot in the balzz and have to explain it infront of a court
I imagine the guy trying to sue Em for 100mil, cause without me, you wouldn't be who you now be.
His friends still don't believe him.
I'm so glad that Em broke the cycle of abuse! He's such a good dad to all 3 of his kids.
We do not know the whole story though. I mean, her perspective.
@@7prudentdebbie’s perspective? we dont need to know much. even outside of what em says, debbie also had her second son (nathan) taken away from her by the state. you gotta be a really awful person or parent to get your kid taken by CPS
@@yagirl2124 she was 15 when she got married. She, I believe, had a really tragic life, including before marriage.
The reason id be a good parent because i know what not to do from experience
@@7prudent So did Em, and he is still a good parent!
Most people only view him for his music but forget he is a human being like the rest of us who had to overcome trauma, addiction, losing Ronnie and Proof, raising his daughter during his feud with Kim, etc. He is still here at 51 years old and I am certainly thankful for his music.
In a way, I think his writing and making music provided him the therapeutic & emotional outlet that without which, his life may have gone down a much more frequently traveled path. I wish I could meet him someday. IDK why but he's the only celebrity I can think of that would totally render me speechless - and if you knew me- you'd understand that is very hard to accomplish haha ☘
Eminem is the voice of all us white trash kids growing up in broken homes and abusive environments.
Eminem has felt all stages of grief, struggle, betrayal, abuse, hate, yet still eminem is the king
Eminem had such a rough life. We are proud of you man.
As a gen z, I do NOT think Eminem is overrated

he honestly is living proof that you can do anything when you put your mind to it and no matter where you are you cna achieve greatness

I always admired him

That's true
This man got me through a world of hate. I had it real tough growing up and he was the only one I could turn on and get my anger out and not hurt myself. I could turn his music on and write my own stuff.
I love this man for who he is, he's an inspiration to do better.
Me too loved him when he came out I feel the same about jelly roll to but his older music not his new album unfortunately
Your own shit is shit
I never knew this about Eminem… Omg, I feel sympathy for him.
He is an inspiration to people for carrying on dispite going though tough times. He is a true
Artist.
It is impossible to not hear the genuine emotion in his songs. One of my favorites is "Space Bound" I believe every one of us has been in that mindset in a relationship and I just get chills during parts of the song where you can hear his raw vulnerability. It's brilliant. ua-cam.com/video/JByDbPn6A1o/v-deo.htmlsi=kxeEguq4QeuBZGQA
It’s funny because nowadays people mostly rap about how rich they are. Which is cool for sure, but Eminem truly spoke about one’s troubled mind. This man doesn’t fear touching on subjects like suicide, dark thoughts, angry thoughts, ups and downs, he keeps it so fucking real. He really is the greatest artist of all times! Such an inspiring human, warts and all.
No matter how Debbie apologized it's still clear he was abused as a child
Even if it dit happen it isn’t that crazy.
Of course it’s horrible to abuse children but 30-40 years ago it was a lot more common to hit children than you may think. But telling your son that he should have died is something else
She went way too far with that comment,no sense in saying that to your son,no excuse
@@jaredmayo5820 i agree
People do a lot of messed up things, especially when under the influence of drugs. Just about everyone in this story is guilty of screwing up pretty severely.
At some point though it's a healthy turn to move on and forgive people when there is no reason to cling on to the past.
Yes your correct 💯
He broke the cycle ❤️🩹
I just wanna Hug Eminem after watching this. Hope he is happy and contented now. He suffered so much and I thank him for still being here with us even after everything that happen to him. ❤❤
I laughed so hard when the video talked about Kim and said "SHE LOOKS LIKE THIS" 😂😂😂 like no that wasn't needed but... I get it lol 😅
Shit was cold haha
She the definition of glow down💀
ME TOO!! especially the silence after. That;s the part that had me weak and laughed😂😂😂

This story touched me, I can relate to the bullying part too, eminem has been through so much in his life
I'm such a big fan of him,his music touches my heart, and his music saved my life throughout the darkest days
Much love for eminem ❤

he inspired me so much as a teenager and taught me that anything is possible. we went through a lot of the same stuff, i thank eminem for basically saving my life with his story and music. As he probably did with plenty of other lifes.
a D12 video would be great. Explaining everything about them. This video is INCREDIBLE.
Thank u 🙏🏼
But what about Eminem? 😂

Amazing video, I thought I knew pretty much everything that's publicly accessible about his life before the fame, but you found so much info I didn't have a clue about, such a great work, thank you for this documentary.🔥
Thank u!
These kind of stories remind me just how lucky I am in life.
When times get hard just keep going and u will reach the other side.

Was thinking this too
It takes a lot of courage to push through hard times...
That was a respectful ode to Eminem's life. Thank you. He's such an inspiration.
Eminem is the best rapper to ever lived he just gotta find that out and don’t ever doubt himself no matter what anyone says
man Eminem life was super hard and i feel you Eminem i had a tough life at this age a lot of people tough childhoods but never forget god will give you a better life and he will always love you no matter what
Eminem is the person who breaks the cycle of generational trauma. Both his mother and grandmother have been victims at some point, and that doesn’t make what they did right, but it explains a lot.
I feel like Eminem and Chester Bennington could have been good friends and maybe he could have saved him. ❤Chester lives on in our hearts❤
Since the start, when I first knew of Eminem and his music, I admired his raw vision, I loved that he used cathartic expression to heal from the hurts he'd experienced throughout his life. The track "Lose Yourself" is a track I always return to when I am wavering. It's so easy to lose the courage needed to move through life, " Lose Yourself " helps me to remember I am strong and that nothing and no one can hurt me, that I deserve the life of my choosing.
One thing is certain, Eminem is the king of rap ♥️👑
He’s not the rap king.
He’s the rap god!
Why be a king when you can be a god
Thank you for this work! Very good video, respect 💯
Thank u 🙏🏼🖤
Im literally crying. He had a very depressing life. I feel so motivated by his story. So am not gonna give up
He’s Slim, He’s Shady. He’s both.
Everyone has a story. He needs to smile more. Has alot,to be thankful for. Went from rags,to riches. 😊
Marshall had a very hard life as a child. His mom was terrible, his music reflected that a lot. I think his music is amazing and he's so talented
Shoutout slim he’s helped me a lot thru his music
Eminem is amazing. I’m glad he got through it all😊

he's been through a lot but made it through it all and he will always be regarded as one of the greats, if not THE greatest to ever do it. he deserves his flowers fr 🙌

I was bullied too. These girls attacked me. I went home and asked my brother to show me how to fight.
so cool to see how “future” in 8mile is clearly based off of proof
I was talking about Eminem and My step mum she he's disgusting I hate how fast people are to judge others. Eminem is by far my favourite artist and his music has helped me through so many hard times
Overall, that was a great video! Good Job!
thank you!
Good biography. He's a legend.
No wonder Eminem is private now .i don’t blame him . 💕
Great vid
I cant say im the biggest Eminem fan but i grew up listening to him, and my parents saying dont listen to him but the lyrics were always angry and sad and it made me think about how i feel as an adult. Hes real asf he beat the odds in a time where it wasent possible and nobody can take that away from him he is on the top 10 of most influential rappers no cap. He might not be on my top 10 but he accomplished more than most rappers ever could and we know the story
Good video thanks :)
If I listened to his songs earlier in his career, i think it would have been therapeutic for me...but he always sounded so angry, i just didnt listen.
Now i am and it makes me less angry at all the abusive people in my live.
So maybe very late, but ty Marshall.
Greattt❤❤❤

Wow! I haven’t listened to any of his stuff but just started looking into his life today. He had a rough life. It’s a miracle he has been so successful with all the bad things that have happened to him. Severe closed head injury happened to him when he was beat up and put into a coma. I am a Christian and will be adding him and his family to my prayers. 💞
PAIN MAKE LEGENDS. HATS OFF 🙇♂

I Love Eminem, and this Video has awoken a BURST of RESPECT for him!! This man has been through Hell and Back, and was able to stand back up after getting knocked down so many times, all the Haters will never understand how Influential this man was in his Prime, and to this day he’s still Beloved by ALL. Thank you EMINEM, for being You. 🙂
That was really well done, broski...🫵🔥

Eminem is the one who taught me most of my english. He made stans of so many of us!
This man was lit on fire and burnt to ash. From the ashes he rose to become inspiration for those still on fire.
imagine bullying a kid just to find out it is one of the coolest people ever, I wonder how bad they felt after that
Eminem I am so sorry my boy god bless you
People that weren't alive or were too young to remember what it was like during Em's prime won't realize the way he took the game by storm, he was an entire cultural movement, opened the doors for Detroit, white teenagers around the world were bleaching their hair. You don't have to like his music but realize that he is a living legend, it's just sad that when an artist outlives their prime they are no longer respected like they once were.
So sad 😢
The GOAT THE KING
I became depressed in 2022 I didn't talk to nobody I didn't have nobody help me and it kept getting worse and worse. The only reason I'm going the way I am today is because of slim shady I hope you can see this someday Marshall Mathers
When you look at the life he's endured, his achievements become all the more outstanding. He was set up in a way that could only fail yet managed to make something out of it and most of all, avoided making the same mistakes with his daughter as the ones made by his own mother and his ex-wife.
that one paintball victim changed eminem's life progectory
Good video 👍
Thank u
Man had an extremely shitty life from the day he was born well into his 20s. He was involved in some bad shit and he suffered a lot. But the fact that he broke the chain of abuse and did whatever he could to keep his daughter away from all the bad things that were happening. The way he tried to shield her from the evil in his life. That takes a lot of strength, to not let your darkness consume everyone around you too. He was a pretty messed up guy doing some pretty messed up things and having some pretty messed up relationships with almost everyone in his life, but Hailee gave him the will to live. And he protected her as best he could. She turned out pretty well too, a respectable young woman who lives a good life.
And it is for that reason that, no matter how I feel about feel about some of the things he has done or the way he can be sometimes, I respect the hell out of Eminem.
This story should just tell anybody and everybody that no matter what your going through Dreams Do Come True it just gonna take some time.
This is just a summarized version of his first book. But I love it
The fact that eminem suffered form this life, he still became a star
King of Rap
The man
I feel bad for him every time I thought he was just angry, but now I got childhood trauma😢
I respect Em, and he was one of the ppl that got me into rap. He's a very generous being, and has shown that he truly cares about the Rap World.
But with that being said, I can still see why ppl call him overrated.
Ppl say he's overrated due to how much a lot of his fans overly praise him (glaze him). Constantly saying he's the "GOAT" or the "King of Rap", when people like Naz and 2pac exist(ed). Matter of fact, a lot of them say he's better than both of these people. And I think that we all know that there isnt and shouldnt be any true king/queen of rap, as there are so many rap styles/artists, that it would be unfair to many, but if there was, I dont believe Em would be the "King of Rap", though, pretty close.
I also believe his influence on the rap culture was both a blessing and a curse. His style of rapping was a refreshment to the generic rap style that a lot of others had, and his alter ego, Slim Shady, provided a spotlight on the more lyrically violent side/background of rap.
Though, as Em leaned towards speed-rapping, a lot of his fans (especially the younger generations), believed that that was the 'true style of rap', which swayed their opinions in a way and caused a massive wave of 'Old-Gen Rap Activists', as i like to call them.
These younger ones would absolutely HATE the new gen of mumble rappers (as they should), but would call and praise Em's style of rapping as 'true/model rapping' and would believe that rap without it being lyrically fast isnt rap, which warped kids' idea of the rap world a lot in the 2016-18 period.
Proud of Em. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
