I got one of these last summer from Sweetwater, they play beautifully and sound amazing. The pickup has two controls, one for level and one for "tone", roll back on the latter and it becomes incredibly warm.
as a suggestion: is it possible you guys make a serie about reviewing guitars, pedals and cabinets/amplifiers? ( a top 3 list) like for guitars: best for under a 1000 euro ( or pound) top 3 for blues top 3 for rock top 3 jazz top 3 all rounder best for around 1500 euro ( or pound) top 3 for blues top 3 for rock top 3 jazz top 3 all rounder guitars you should avoid ( can be fun and informative) and so on... this way we'll be more introduced into other brands then we might always read on or hear of then and maybe help others to decide beter in creating their OWN sound. thank you for the great videos.
Guitars you should avoid is something no salesteam would ever consider. "Hey, we're trying to unload this on you but if you watch our videos, you'll know you should avoid it like plague!"
I've got this guitar and wouldn't sell it for 5 times what I paid. It is so hard to find a good quality thinline acoustic. This guitar is 3-3/4" deep at the lower bout. Absolutely perfect. Puts out great acoustic-only sound. No need to plug it in. You can get cheaper Yamaha APX's, and much higher priced thin-bodies. This guitar was not designed for electric-only players in my mind. It's for acoustic players who want a very comfortable "lap-happy' guitar.
Rabea reminds me of a younger Leslie West. Plays just as well also! Just purchased this. Love Dao wood! I have a Fender Sonoran with Dao b&s. Reminds me of walnut with a more pronounced grain! Beautiful wood. Can't wait to play Fly by Night & Closer to the ❤️!
I bought one of these from you guys at Andertons. Brilliant guitar. Sound fantastic plugged in or not. Gives a better sound than it sounds on you tube, although it doesn't sound bad here. Great job guys. Happy birthday Rabea.
I have 1492 fender columbocaster. Columbus played it on the boat. Made out of nails and wood with compus pickups in a sailcloth case. And its for sail.
Happy Birthday Rabea! I own the acoustic guitar you just reviewed. It sounds much better in person. It's got the volume and tone controls in the sound hole. I've had no problems dialing in a good tone. PRS through an Orange head and cabinet. Hard to go wrong. The first time I picked it up I couldn't put it down. Still is that way!
Happy Belated Birthday Rabea! Mine is May 10th... I'm a tad older. Sure hope you had a great day and you got lucky and stuff like that! Sure love to hear you play, you should keep working on the Jazz/Pop-ish stuff, you sound so great playing that stuff! Cheers!
Best Rabea evvaaaaa, 0:15 --> Rabea lookin at Pete... "Whoooops, that thing with strings makes noizze....okayyy, i try....., 0:18 " Wtf... theres noizz out of ma Belly .... not a Marshall humming in my back, a reeeeeeeeeeeeeally good noizzzzzz..." that look dear Rabea, priceless!!!! Thumbs and everything else up, made my day
I just bought a Yamaha APX500III and i just watched this video and now I'm pissed because PRS is my favorite guitar company. FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUCK. Happy birthday Rabea!
humbucker strat with trem. Marshall-ish 2 channel amp 80's type chorus, delay. Basic Lifeson sounds for most songs of that era. Also can add mini wah and phaser if budget allows.
Rabea, you've not listened to Rush?! Shame on you, you're missing out on some very special music. Start with Xanadu and The Camera Eye. Once again, Andertons setting the standard for gear reviews. Always a pleasure to watch.
You should listen to some Rush, the Queen and governor general approve as they were the first rock stars to have the Order of Canada. The middle section solo of freewill is amazing. The musical interplay and drumming is stuff of sonic wet dreams. Remember they are a three piece. The instrumentals yyz and la villa stangato are incredible and were done in one or two takes. 2112, permanent waves and moving pictures are all best served with a strong drink/favourite intoxicant and headphones. :) Keep up the great music and vids!
Hey guys, what would you recommend as a practice amp? I am playing mostly Maiden and such. Am looking in the price range of 180 punds or 250 dollars. Been looking at the Yamaha THR10 series, but they are a bit out of my price range. Thanks!
Recording tip. If you put your mic placed where your acoustic guitar neck hits the body, and point the mic in the direction of the sound-hole. Best way to record acoustic
I knew Pete was a pick guy... very resourceful with tone and no doubt by necessity at some time earlier in his life. Yep, Pete's a regular McGuiver of tonal possibilities. IMHO, I think you guys should unload an accessory video for strings, plectrums, and techniques. I don't recall any video in the recent past that has solely existed for swapping strings, plectrums, and technique adjustment like attack angle to milk it... I do it by necessity and that's probably 90% compulsive tone hound with 10% required for the song. Enough of going off the topic of the guitars at hand. What are the TAXES for Internet buyers in TEXAS? Texas and Taxes go hand in hand. Also, any other epic deal on a standard dreadnaught acoustic from other brands. I'd like this one for playing out with a humbucker + mic and preamp. Also, how heavy is this guitar?
Rebea's and I share a birthday, and are the same age. Well now I feel as though I haven't accomplished much in life... -_- But on a positive note I share a birthday with an awesome guitarist and someone that seems like genuinely nice guy.
Ok i got an idea for Misery the movie sequel( you know Kathy Bates & James Caan...those old enough to remember)...Anyway Rabea and Pete are doing this charity gig at the retired folks home and stumble upon Kathy Bates who locks them into the basement and tells them that Clinton/Trump just won the election and its not safe for them to go out until they finish an album together...cause thats about what it would take for these guys to finally click into their heads they are making some great music together and record a few songs...dont waste this chemistry...

thank you for the great videos.
what about metal guitars?
Those as well of course ! Pardon me for not including them.
Guitars you should avoid is something no salesteam would ever consider. "Hey, we're trying to unload this on you but if you watch our videos, you'll know you should avoid it like plague!"
Cool idea!
this may be the best youtube channel in existence

If I could live my life again, I'd strive to play guitar like this from an early age...brilliant guys!
Rabea reminds me of a younger Leslie West.
Plays just as well also!
Just purchased this.
Love Dao wood!
I have a Fender Sonoran

Happy birthday Bea. Good video. Love the playing at the start
I have 1492 fender columbocaster. Columbus played it on the boat.
Made out of nails and wood with compus pickups in a sailcloth case. And its for sail.
Congrats Bea!!!
Sweet guitar... could you do a sounds like Alex lifeson/RUSH?
My thoughts exactly
Surprise....
Happy Birthday Rabea! I own the acoustic guitar you just reviewed. It sounds much better in person. It's got the volume and tone controls in the sound hole. Both the intro and outro were a pleasure to listen to. I reckon Dorje should have Pete on as a guest guitarist for a cheeky number.
Cheers!
Sounded absolutely brilliant
The SE acoustics play so well, almost like an electric. Definitely check them out!
You guys should definitely do a sounds like for Alex Lifeson!
Happy Birthday Rabea!
Could you do a Sound Like Alex Lifeson?
Best Rabea evvaaaaa, 0:15 --> Rabea lookin at Pete... +RJ_Connor They dont have the balls, lol. lifesons rig is pretty expansive. but yeessss, its a given.
Yes Lifeson late 70's and early 80s.
Spoiler: DSL40 + HH Strat
humbucker strat with trem. Marshall-ish 2 channel amp 80's type chorus, delay. Basic Lifeson sounds for most songs of that era. Also can add mini wah and phaser if budget allows.
Happy birthday Bea!
man rabea's such a beast of a player
beautiful playing!
Rabea, you've not listened to Rush?! Shame on you, you're missing out on some very special music. Start with Xanadu and The Camera Eye.
Once again, Andertons setting the standard for gear reviews. Always a pleasure to watch.
I must admit, I never heard them because no one in my group of friends did so I just never came across them to be perfectly honest
+Rabea Massaad start with the 2112 album, thats a headbangers delight.
+Angus Young Both of those are kickass. Props

Happy 11-days-late birthday rabea!
Stellar opening jam👌🏻
it sounds delicious and fresh. it's like drinking ice tea during a hot day..
Hey guys, what would you recommend as a practice amp? I am playing mostly Maiden and such. Am looking in the price range of 180 punds or 250 dollars. Been looking at the Yamaha THR10 series, but they are a bit out of my price range. Thanks!
Those sound really nice. :) a Belated Happy Birthday to Rabea :)
Do a sounds like Alex Lifeson!
Recording tip. If you put your mic placed where your acoustic guitar neck hits the body, and point the mic in the direction of the sound-hole. Best way to record acoustic
happy day after your birthday bea! keep on rockin lol
How can there possibly be a dislike on this after only 40 minutes?
Sounded a bit special those things?! And thank you for that bit of Closer To The Heart at the end there :-D Happy man!
Have you ever done a 12 fret compared to 14 fret guitars ? I'd like to know more about the differences.
I knew Pete was a pick guy... very resourceful with tone and no doubt by necessity at some time earlier in his life.

Far out they sound like Taylors!! Nice
Rebea's and I share a birthday, and are the same age. Well now I feel as though I haven't accomplished much in life... -_- But on a positive note I share a birthday with an awesome guitarist and someone that seems like genuinely nice guy.
Getting closer lol.... Sounds like Alex Lifeson please :D
No one talked about the dimples below the bridge?
Please dont hire anyone else haha Rabea and Pete are so great together!
Dao is also known as Pacific/new guinea Walnut.
Pete and that damn G Chord!
+ChainsawChristmas G is the new E :-)....
Wow you cant really see the grains on Rabea's guitar
Bea, I also thought it was Jason Waterfalls! hahaha
Awesome!!
happy birthday!!!! bit late tho
Pioneered some prog-rock stuff. I guess pioneering was easy to do when you listened to Yes, Genesis, King Crimson...
I would be completely jealous if I didn't already have an Angelus Custom SE =)
Ok i got an idea for Misery the movie sequel( you know Kathy Bates & James Caan...those old enough to remember)...Anyway Rabea and Pete are doing this charity gig at the retired folks home and stumble upon Kathy Bates who locks them into the basement and tells them that Clinton/Trump just won the election and its not safe for them to go out until they finish an album together...cause thats about what it would take for these guys to finally click into their heads they are making some great music together and record a few songs...dont waste this chemistry...
slappin' da bass!
It is a very good guitar for that price.
I THOUGHT IT WAS JASON WATERFALLS WHEN I WAS A KID TOO!
I watched you within 100'views!
Gah the PRS headstock looks kinda weird on an acoustic - sounds great though
Can i have your babies Rabea ? :)
bea check out Roy Buchanan he does what you do with your facial movements uncanny. Must be what the greats doo
This is the 23rd...
'appy burpday Bea!
Don't like the PRS headstock on acoustic
I have mixed feelings
You know I ALWAYS defend the PRS headstock but, yes I agree here it doesn't fit. Now, Alex's private stock has a Santana headstock.
Those darn techinal problems!
Slappa da bass LOL
Not related to the video, but Sound like Nile Rodgers for £1500
To see Bea playing an acoustic = Awkward.
40th
I was kind of expecting them to play Closer To The Heart... Shame on you guys...
Sounds like Megadeth plz
doesn't sound like a duck !
They sound way to bright and brittle for my taste.
Aha, that's the exact point, the point was to make a bright, aggressive in your face sounding acoustic, I honestly like it, but to each his own
Bigga boy's knowledge of Rush isn't good.
Happy birthday Bea!
