In India, being good is considered a sign of weakness rather than a mark of respect. Our polity has only reinforced this belief, instead of reversing it.
"Being good is a mark of respect" only works in those communities where everyone respects eachother who belongs to that community. In India we do not respect a fellow Indian, Indian and hindhu morals have been twisted and turned and churned so bad that they are far from what our ancestors had lived by, I'm sad to say what we call Hinduism or Christianity or muslim religion is not what it was meant to be. We don't respect fellow Indians , oh he's a Muslim oh he's a Hindu, and among Hindus casts among casts family names, among family brothers fight eachother, inlaws fight eachother, parents and children fight eachother, where TF is mutual respect ? yeah ruthlessness is a sign of respect in this current India. If you are lucky enough to be a part of a circle that truly has mutual respect, empathy and compassion for eachother, cherish it, don't let go, don't fuck it up, it's all that matters in life, specially in this country that has become so pathetic. And this isn't the only country that has become this pathetic. It's the same story everywhere. Grass is just greener on the other side.
Being weak is considered a sign of weakness not being good, we were good and got invaded and lost our country for 1000years. If you back down the other person will obviously finish you off rather than back down. The same thing happens everywhere(lived in Canada) where you can get sued for minor things like your dog barking.

Couldn't agree more! I have never experienced legal matters before. But a few months ago, got caught in scenario similar to your example, though not to the same degree of extortion or police summons. My father had helped his colleague by standing Surety in his case, more than a decade ago. Certain parties in certain authority used this information of my father as a leverage to not give us what we rightfully deserve. Now retired, my father had to run circles around lawyers and courts to prove his position. I was furious to take this matters to the police, but my father is old, plus the time/cost overheads would affect our situation more. This was the first time in my life I felt the Reality of things. And my beliefs about legal system, people (even if you know them closely), and justice has changed. Your words are the real truth.
This is what I've gone through. I'm in my 20s and the opposite party was in his early 50s, a well to do officer. The opposite party(Officer) didn't comply with the terms of the MOU (He bought an item from us but he refused to purchase after making half of the payment, he refused around 2 months before the delivery date which was against the terms.) He got registered an FIR against me stating therein that I've failed to deliver the item and that I've committed a fraud. The IO in the most inhuman manner extracted the money from me even though the Post Dated Cheques were sent to the Officer about 10 days prior when he started threatening me of dire consequences. Now, the Officer has PDCs and Cash both, even after sending everything... I couldn't leave, they kept my car, phone was snatched(this whole Police thing lasted for 3 days), lawyer/ family couldn't be contacted. It was atrocious... I arranged for the money on the 2nd day but the Police delayed to take me to the Bank. On the 3rd day, when I gave the money, it was around 12 pm, I was allowed to leave the station only after another 8 hours sitting without food or water. . Also, a point to note here is this that the Police also cut open the main door lock to enter my premises in my absence. . Meanwhile, Police also pressurized me to hand over my property worth much more to the Officer for peanuts. . Courts also didn't take cognizance, the Dept. that the opposite party worked in also paid no heed. I've a lot of anguish but as Advocate Aggarwala said, this is not a place for an innocent person. I learnt it the hard way.
This applies to overall life and to every aspect of life unless you don't do injustice with other.. Learnt this lesson just after being so good..you have to be bad at sometimess
As someone who has seen similar incidents and corruption in police first hand i completely agree with you, even if u r innocent u won't be getting any justice in this country rather u would be sucked dry by these so called laws and procedures. The only way to live without such fears in this country is to have a lot of money and reach then u can live like a king
If the Good days have to come in real, the justice system must must must be upgraded, where justice should not just given in favour of the victim/innocent party, but should have a much faster resolution. As per the current law, I would definitely take law in my hands, as the law and order is non existent for the innocent. The two fields in our country which needs an immediate attention by the PM is - LAW and HEALTHCARE. In health care much more horrible and notorious crimes are happening behind the curtains.
My brother took a relative to the hospital in the city and she had brain hemorrhage and needed immediate surgery , but the doctor refused to perform surgery until he was paid a certain amount , not the hospital bill , to his private account. I feel you bro. This sounds so very familiar, ours is a country where the courts opened up at 2400hrs when the powerful establishment wanted to oust a democratically elected govt (well as democratic as it gets) and literally handed over the regime to a bunch of convicted crooks who were at the time out on bail. While the same court didn't have time to proceed with the country cases against these criminals and against the members of parliament who violated the Constitution. So much so the court through those actions itself violated the Constitution. That's how blatant and horrific it is in Pakistan. I have reasons to believe that while Indeed this world in general isn't a place for the innocent, things still aren't as bleak as they are in our motherland. Keep up the good work maybe people like you can bring about a good change.

Not just in India, the whole world. Being moral and good isn't necessarily a quality required for survival. And there in no such system which rewards you for being good. The system is chaotic and sometimes good deeds get you bad effects, and sometimes it gets you good things in return.
However, India is one of the most corrupt among countries that are not going through any civil war. Not just politicians, from Auto Wala to Billionaire, everyone tries to scam when they get a chance in India. It's the problem with various factors such as Indian mindset, poverty, overpopulation, high competition, ignorance, low moral standards etc. I personally saw many cases where common people respect and worship evil horrible criminals and criticize/despise good people. In fact, most Indians look down upon you, if you try to be genuinely fair and good, unless you are already rich/popular. They respect only if you are as slimy and corrupt as them.

For so many of us who have no knowledge of law or fear law and police..your words bring us knowledge and courage to face battles we hope we may never have to face in our lifetime. Being a kind and a good human being is neccessary for our own peace and happiness. But when you meet monsters in court you must be monsters too or they will destroy everything you have. This was a new message. The ultimate truth. The reality of life. Thank you for saying this.
People of India need person like you thanks for all the information you are going to Indian society...
Thanks
This is a good advice not just in India or for the courts, but for life in general
It's always a pleasure seeing someone quoting "J. Peterson" in a perfectly correct context .
This happens in every country in the world, not just India.
And when people go about cursing lawyers for leaching off money and worshipping doctors, I am always reminded of this incident and one other that happened to my sister.
Oh and the relative didn't make it .
@@JJ-vc4wx It's a very sad and unfortunate event. I won't go in details but want to say that I have been bedridden since 5 years due to a wrong medicine given by a doctor.
@@binitmohapatra3311 Bhai was this a hospital here in Bhubaneswar ? If you could tell me, I could warn my family against going for treatment there.
This is the best one till now. Respect for you sir.
"Guilty until proven innocent."
so true sir . truth also has to shout to silence the false voices
I am facing similar issues sir with family relatives harassing us regularly. The police seem to be only favoring them given their money power. So I can totally agree to your statement.
I would have been literally crying like a hell if I had a little capability to cry.
You said the truth. This is no society for people to go on with their normal lives.
Better to spend money on a good legal advisor like you than anything else!
Why call no country for innocent call it as it is " A country for corrupt...."
I clicked just like that and Your channel is “Subscribed” bcus hell ya this is bloody “TRUTH” and you said it which no lawyer will utter ever.
One should be shrewd, cunning, wise to level that you should not become victim for bad people's.
Honestly bone chilling. So Bollywood was showing us the truth this whole time?

Real world justice system in India is much worse than bollywood justice system
You hit the nail on the head. I too am going through such a situation
Corruption is the true back bone of our country.

Lot To learn and Grow From You. ✊
Although a straight man, i absolutely love Amish sir. This man speaks truth, speaks against popular narrative, is eloquent speaker.
❤️🙏
Yes indeed, Being good/decent/law abiding is considered as "not smart" in India. Being an idealist, I've suffered a LOT. I'd continue to be me regardless of what people treats me.
It is indeed a life saving insight for common people, sir. Thanks
True to the core..... Personal experiences on daily basis
India has recently made a law forcing VPNs to store and provide info for 5 years on their users activity and identities. Even online, in a literal sense, you are treated as a criminal, even if innocent.
I am thinking about clearing IELTS and move to Canada forever. If Buddha was present today, he probably would have said "संसार दुःखो का घर नहीं, ये देश दुःखों का घर है". God knows what would happen to this country, it's only getting worse from here
Pehli fursat mei nikal ...Tere jaise kamzoro ki zarurat bhi nahi idhar....also Canada koi swarg nahi hai.
God bless you for speaking the truth. God protect your efforts.
Very true ........ !!!! acha and aada banna padega .. thank you
Thank Anish jee for this Reminder fir innocent guy
You are 100 ℅ right...I can understand what you said very well as I have gone through similar things .Sir this society needs someone like you and the knowledge that you give..
You are 100 % right ❤️👍
reminds me of Niccolo Machiavelli's, the prince........
and like Jordan Peterson said "The hero has to be a monster"
This is the very first video I've ever watched of this guy, and I still knew from the get go which country he was referring to, by his accent.
And seriously, yeah it's a reflection of the collective failure of society as a whole when this is what a person working in law has to say
(Be ruthless, don't be the good human being)
Message to be taken - No justice for too innocent
People might mistaken a wise man with being fearful and non-violent. A wise man can be fearless and brutal too.
is takes lot of courage, strength and patience to be a good person. most people are weak these days.
In India
Jo Dar gaya,
Woh Mar gaya!
A lawyer that criticises inner workings of law? Very nice, you have my respect and sub.
Well it's Indian culture to consider a dishonest, cunning, unethical person as a smart one and honest, ethical, law abiding person to be a dumb one. In developed countries it's just opposite.
Don't equate with Indian culture. Which Indian religion had taught this??? Blame the society and this things are present in the whole world
@@badassguy9856 religion and culture are different things all together
@@JaskaranSinghhh So please enlighten me how Indian culture promotes this? The thing is whole world is cruel.
@@badassguy9856 India’s population is so high that in every aspect of life we have cut throat competition. In result, we indians have become very unethical in nature.
When did it became a "culture" lol
Not just in India but across the world. Makes one wonder whether it should be called injustice system rather than justice system.
Avoiding confrontations doesn't always work.
I like you as you speak my opinions with your mouth..I have never met you but I always refer your name to anyone especially men who ask me for legal advice..be a honest and great lawyer..wanna see you rise and grow in Delhi in the next 30 years..we are of same age brother! keep it up!
an honest lawyer , a boon to country .

Sir, very motivating maza aagaya👏👏
SIr this needs to be taught to every Indiana kid, from a young age. Unfortunately I learnt the hard way that when you are kind and nice to others, they will assume your kindness as weakness and take you for a terrible ride.
There is a law for everyone but not justice for everyone
We Indians born to think unfair
Love the Dr. Peterson reference.
I should have learnt of this years ago. He is so right.
Not just in India, the whole world. Being moral and good isn't necessarily a quality required for survival. And there in no such system which rewards you for being good. The system is chaotic and sometimes good deeds get you bad effects, and sometimes it gets you good things in return.
And they says where all good ppl go?, After betraying them.😐
That’s less a statement about India but more of the world nowadays unfortunately.
My Counsel said you are innocent and you should prove your innocence. And Now things went worst being innocence. You are right brother. I should be a monster or atleast this society wanted that one
That I think is the problem with every country
A good citizen can always be brushed up with the law in any any country
I couldn't agree anymore ... India is so long away from being a true global ally or stakeholder. No internal structure or support system starting with ego and integrity
Police: being lazy
That guy: it's probably my fault 😢
Justice is abstract, Law is a fact.
Even Mahabharat/Geeta says same. One needs to fight for the truth. One needs to fight the evil. One cannot just sit and watch evil win.
