Hey Cassandra big fan this side. I am suffering from a skin disease and I don't know what is it. What happen is my face becomes patchy and dry during winters. These white patches are so dry and I feel like my skin is shedding. I visited many doctor but none of their suggested medicine helped me out. Some says that it's nothing just calcium deficiency. Some says that it's due to dandruff. They would recommend me face washes, shampoos,and face creams that are so expensive. And that okay but the problem is none of these helped me out. So I am here .you are so knowledgeable and I think can help me out. Reply soon winters are about to come and I don't want to suffer again.

Yes! And the difference between dry scalp and dandruff! They are not the same and shouldn’t be treated the same. Dandruff is a type of seborrhoea and you should use medicinal shampoo, dry scalp can get dryer by those shampoos and make your scalp even itchier

I have to agree with Cassandra on the fact that although Neutrogena isn’t the best skincare brand, the hydroboost range is damn good, it really helped my skin when I used their cleanser and gel cream

Although they are really good I’m sure you can find good dupes or products just as effective for the same price :) I use a lot more pharmacy brands nowadays like Uriage, La Roche Posay, Avene etc ... it’s not that expensive and it works really well :)
I love several Neutrogena products. Their HydroBoost Skin Tint, MoistureBoost Lip Crayon sticks, Revitalizing Lip Balms, and UltraSheer Sunscreen Spray are all really good products.

OMG please please do a video on Natrium. Yes, they create good products, but I'm still so burned and honestly annoyed by the disrespect from Susan to her audience. TBH the niacinamide cream was trash, but their niacinamide serum was decent.

Also, I love your sense of humor, so, keep doing this! My question is whether you could have a video on solely organic, no plastic cosmetics, including sunscreen. I am a passionate environmentalist, having a daughter myself, and strongly believing that our actions need to change in order to preserve this planet for the future generations. Could you also maybe recommend more no plastic products? I live in Switzerland and no plastic products are quite expensive, however for me it is worth to invest in. Most store brands like up&up or equate aren't cruelty free, however cvs health/beauty 360 are cruelty free so 10/10 recommend.

I think the whole ‘hush hush don’t talk about naturium’ is so shady in the skincare world and that thumbnail was clickbait when you did not go into it how you feel about the brand when you feel so free to give your opinion on others. This is the reason why being part of a ‘community’ is not a good idea when you are doing reviews of products from that community. Don’t mention the brand at all if you don’t want go into the shadiness of the launch or just say you are too biased to give an honest opinion. But to actually recommend a product from them without going into the brand in A VIDEO ABOUT BRANDS AND PRODUCTS...just no.

My new “emergency” wipes are just a microfiber “makeup eraser” type cloth and a good micellar water(I have like 2 capable of easily removing waterproof sunscreen and waterproof makeup).

Cassandra, could you make a video *just* about SPF? What do I do if I wear make up- how do I reapply? What if I get super oily and need to dab my face - do I reapply? Do I have to wash my face in between reapplications? What sunscreen works best for acne prone oily skin? Literally everyone is looking for the perfect sunscreen and I feel like nobody has found it, so maybe you could make this a series? Sunscreen info, Sunscreen for oily skin, Sunscreen for dry skin etc.

As a Dermalogica certified esthetician, I've seen people get amazing and serious results from the clearing oil.
I was shocked to see Naturium at Target the other day. Like, whaaat?! That was fast.
I'd love a cruelty free dupe for La Roche de Posay tinted mineral light fluid sunscreen. It's so great, perfect silky texture, makes my skin feel dewy but not greasy, but $37 and not CF!

Olay Total Effects is the only moisturizer that hasn't blocked my pores. I know it has fragrance (which is barely detectable) but for me at least, it's great.
Paula’s Choice makes a 25% AHA and 2% BHA weekly peel. It was initially issued as a limited edition but their web site states they are in the process of reissuing it. It’s half the price of the DE and a lovely formulation.
I love my UFO oil. It works better than anything else I've ever tried, and have been suffering from acne for over 15 years.

The peptide moisturizer from DE burned my skin and I told them and they said it must be something else I’m using (I’ve been using the same basic routine for 2 years 🧐) ugh

tragically, my favorite cleanser is from neutrogena and while Ive found other cleansers that are similar, Ive never found another that has the perfect balance of feels-like-washing-your-face-with-a-moisturizer and not leaving a weird film.

Also, it's a great option for people like me who wanted to try that D.E tlc sukari baby facial without actually supporting drunk elephant. Instead, I supported some mom making a living somewhere! It's a win-win!
And no, I'm not saying I support these companies but as a skin care fanatic, I can only stand to hear so many people say a product is great, and praise it without trying it myself. I'm a curious cat, sue me.

@@jetsofaqua2206 not exactly. Stores will purchase products from companies to sell. Let's say sephora buys a whole bunch of product, then a year later the packaging gets redesigned, or it's just too old to comply with their personal guarantees. These stores then lose out on their purchases by selling to liquidation companies that these people purchase with their hard earned money, hoping to flip it for slightly more, in order to put food on the table. These sellers will buy it regardless. My money goes to the seller, and they buy their kids Christmas presents. The chain of command is so far removed, that it's not a direct correlation. My money did not go to drunk elephant.
The stores are the ones investing in them, and losing out because not enough people bought it in the store. So then the profit margin in turn goes to the sellers at eBay, mercari, poshmark, etc.
But still, my point is that it's much better if anyone is determined on buying/trying something from an immoral company, to hand their money to a small business online then the company itself. It's still the lesser evil regardless, then again as an eBay seller that supports my family by selling things I buy from store closeouts, I am probably bias. But I do understand what you're saying.

@@caitieeeee sellers are required to post the expiration, though some products don't have it, they may have a batch code which I usually look up but then again I'm savvy on product research already.
Regardless, eBay has a money back guarantee, you demand an instant return if they don't lost the right date. It's not 2005 eBay anymore.

The Ordinary Red Peeling Solution, Make Up revolution Skincare has the exact same formulation. Geek & Gorgeous also have some nice blends of low and medium AHA and pHA % and low and medium BHA %

Tbh Naturium is really good. I've tried several of their products and they're thoughtfully formulated. They could have charged more for their products if they wanted too but I'm glad they went the affordable route.
hey cassandra! can you review the brand Axis-y? Their mugwort mask and physical sunscreen seems really great (ingredient-wise)! Somehow, it hasn't reached many UA-camrs and I think it should!
I month ago i have a very bad breakout on my forehead, i try everything but nothing seem to work. One day, i was so sad and go on UA-cam as i usually did, and my oh my, Cassandra was on my recommended pages, so i watched it. I finished the first videos, then the second then the third. I feel very educated watching her video, and shes my life saver.

I got the Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit cleanser and.... turns out IT'S THE BEST FOR ME! my acne is finally under control thanks to it! yes it does kinda dry my skin but i just moisturise after!

Kelsey I'm one of the people that destroyed their skins with Mario Badescu's Control Cream... I had very sensitive skin and was so happy to have found this cream that made my skin happy - one year later when I stopped the cream because I couldn't find anymore all hell broke loose. I couldn't even sleep because of the itchiness and inflammation... And now 8 years later my skin is still not back to normal because the barrier is compromised and it has no immunity, so it's extremely sensitive, reactive, dehydrated, I have steroid rosacea (I even got ocular rosacea), I have to spend so much time and money to take care of it. And when I found about the steroids in the cream, on the thread where everybody was discussing there were people complaining of systemic reactions (when the steroid gets absorbed by the body because of prolonged use) - some of them had been hospitalised with Cushing Syndrome. And Mario Badescu never admitted and apologized for this, they are a horrible, unethical company.

The biossance under eye cream is amazing. I got a sample of it and its the only product that helps my under eyes not look so dry, especially under makeup
I do have a hard time supporting Naturium though (at least for now, and from what I have seen), given the fact that the founder did "cheat and lie" about it, when there were better ways to introduce the skincare line to the public. The fact that it is Susan Yara's brand isn't a reason for me to use double standards.

Neutrogena's Hydro Boost has just enough HA in it to be allowed to put it on the label. It's something like the third-from-last ingredient. It feels good going on, but doesn't do much.

Are the Naturium products good ?
I personally like them. I’ve tried the thick ceramide cream for my night cream and it’s the first night moisturizer I’ve ever used that I still feel moisturized when I wake up in the morning. And I like the eye cream as well. I’ll probably try the water cream next.
I’ve used their Vitamin C serum and their Retinol 2.5% serum and both were actually really nice and non-irritating.
They’re my favorite, like you honestly can’t go wrong. If you have sensitive skin though maybe not cuz she likes putting a whole bunch of actives in her stuff

I absolutely refuse to support Naturium after how it was launched, the deceitful marketing, and the comparing and putting down of well known brands in order to get customers. I am really hoping you'll talk about it, there are plenty of screenshots and receipts out there and I hate that no one in skin youtube is really talking about it just because of Susan. What she did was shady AF and illegal. She didn't disclose things she was legally obligated to and even when she did she downplayed it. When she was called out she put out a crappy nonapology that was mostly just I can't believe you guys don't support me and I'm sorry I got caught.
Also, her skincare reactions get more and more condescending and cringeworthy.
The Dr. Pimple Popper one was sad.
@@shreshthaghoshal4038 Yeah I realized awhile back she looks at skincare from a very priveleged, I know what's best and can afford the best attitude. She's dropping thousands of dollars yearly on procedures, products and facials. She looks at it more from a luxury and pampering side then a basic upkeep and treatment side like most people. She's just very disconnected from her audience.

She literally points out every time how certain products are expensive and what not, and that you can get others for lower prices. And there's nothing wrong with her pampering herself with facials. She still uses a skin care routine at the end of the day.

No, don't trust you lol I actually enjoy the earthy odor so I'm glad that I ignored those complaining. It may not be for everyone but it isn't as offending as some make it out to be. I recommend people getting a sample and deciding then.
