Simple Review which is great! I started researching portable 4x4 ACs again as I actually think I did well picking this up... BCF emailed us not long ago recalling the product & tossing up if I should return it... which seems like I will & move to anaconda's DUNE 150LPM abit cheaper so I'll have some money left over for other gear. Many thanks from a Novice 4x4 in WA
Hey mate, mine actually blew up after the 2nd use 😂🤣 I went and spent the money and got a TJM HD one it's been going strong for 6 months now. Doesn't have an over heat function so I can pump up all my mates tyres as well.
Many thanks. I’m interested in your electrical set up (batteries - chargers - solar ). Maybe next time you do an overnight trip, let us know how that performed (how many amps the fridge/lights etc pulled, how much solar put back in. Expectations vs reality are often different.
These compressors go hard and fast, and im talking about their life. I went through 3 kings compressors withint the 1 year warranty period. I could have gone through 5 if the issues wern't tempermental. I prematurely wore ruined a set off muddies because it was such a hassle to pull the kings one out of the bag for it to randomly cut out half way through or just not run at all. Resulted in me just not bothering and driving to the servo on low PSI. If you look at it that way the $600 for an ARB twin is alot more affordable as big muddies arent cheap. I could air up a set of 32" and 33" before my mate finished airing up his 35s because his kept cutting out. Now everyone in the group has binned these style of compressors and gone the ARB route agian. I'm keen to see a real review of the new TJM air compressor though. im sure its just as good as the arb
@@TheJanope13 correct I had the single in the portable version. na man the ARB single lets out alot more air and doesn't get anywhere near as hot! I reckon ARB make some great stuff, but TJM have the beat on the single air compressor.
It might have been faster with the engine running..I usually find that with my viair 88p. . Also those double piston compressors have a huge power draw. I think 90amp.. so running the engine will help prevent running down the battery... Just a suggestion...
just what i wanted to see tonight mate..i just bought one from bcf gladdy but it was about 30 bucks dearer here..i cranked it up today and man its pumping some air out the hose..i reckon i could run my airbrush no problems with it..any idea what max pressure is ? as i have a tank id like to fit and pump up to around 100psi but its not critical that i do..thanks for the review..
G'day Wayneo, They are good hey, especially for the money. Not sure why BFC is selling for more then Super cheap as they are owned by the same people. Guess that's business 🤣😂 150PSI maximum pressure mate.
I bought one of these and took it back the next day. Total junk. Clip on to the valve broke after 3 tyres, the gauge would show 25psi when not connected to anything, the hose was too hot to hold after 4 tyres and put away. Very unimpressed.
Hello Errant, if you haven't don't buy it! Lasted 3 turns then blew up. I now run a TJM one. I'll do a review of it soon and update on this compressor.
G'day i also purchased one of these compressors and mine also only last 3 trips. I found out there was a recall on them so i took mine back to Supercheap Auto and got a full refund plus 10%

G'day Gary,
I had a feeling that request might come.
Will do, I'll ether do its own video or ad it into the next camp trip 😊👍
Just bought one. With some mods it will be awesome.

Hey mate, the twin TJM is a great unit I upgraded from this one to the single TJM. The double just had to much weight to it.
@@Off.Track4x4 may have missed it in the video but you had the single arb compressor before correct? Does the tjm pump about the same?

MPCP27: Great advice, I recommend running the car when ever you have any 12v appliance connected to your starter battery.
Does the pressure guage work reliably or noton the compressor please
Hey mate, this lasted 2 weeks then blew up definitely go a different product.

were abouts is the filter
Hello, filter lives in the two square uprights I believe. Mine didn't last long enough to need cleaning 🤣😂
Check that there is not a recall on these compressors. Looks like a relay issue
If there is a recall is probably because they are shit and break 🤣🤣

Paul definitely agree with you!
How’s it holding up?
I would like to know as well. I am going to purchase one if he still like a it.

Hello Nathan, if you haven't got one yet. Best you avoid in my opinion. Mine lasted 3 goes. I now run a TJM one. I'll chuck a new video up soon 🙂
Thanks for the heads up! I’ll stick with my MV50. Not the fastest, but it has held up great.
