Hi guys! Hope your preparation is going well! Obviously if you have come across this video now you don't have 2 weeks left so skip to 1:25 for the relevant info!
I'm glad!! Yess they're really good! To be honest there weren't many online - I'm thinking of releasing mine in the coming weeks with a small cost but we'll see whether I will get onto that. There are some amazing essays in that red book and those were by far the best I found.
Hi! Loved the video, very helpful. Im planning on applying to ucl but i was wondering whether the essay component is still crucial or if it has changed? Keep up the good content!
From what I know, it is still really important! I doubt they would have changed this year since they've been placing the importance on the essay for many years now. If in doubt, the medical school will definitely say so take a look at the med school website.
Could you please provide me with the syllabus for the exam? I'm looking for information on the topics covered in subjects like physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics. Some entrance tests have specific syllabi, and I'm having trouble finding it online. Thank you!
So initially I filmed this before I knew the exam was online - the techniques you use online aren't the same as the ones on paper. Obviously since the exam is online it is probably better to use that resource. But, the questions are past paper questions and you have to think about whether you want to do them at the start or later. But forget what I said about it being a bad resource for questions - I still think the paper resources out there are a lot better
So I mainly used Ali Abdaal's course, I saw he put the Electricity one up on his channel. It is a bit expensive though. You can take a look at Medic Mind's physics bmat vids on UA-cam or MedApply has a free BMAT webinar coming up which talks about it
Yes you're right- I made a mistake in the video. I'm going to alter the description. The paper resources are honestly the best in my opinion - and it shouldn't make a massive difference because unlike the the ucat you dont have to use a calculator. If the exam paper is on paper and you just input the answers on the computer, stick with paper resources. If all you get is rough paper then use the 6med question bank in addition to your paper resources. Bear in mind they don't have explanations if you use the free version.
Hi! Thanks a lot for your video Îm in 5th year that equal to year 12 in the UK and i have a question if I want ta do the exam is it going to be online because I’m not from the UK?
That I don't know - it depends upon how Covid plays out and how the country you live in usually does the exam. They will update you as soon as they know and it will be on the bmat website for that specific country.
Hey if you’re from another country there should still be some test centres in your country but the 30th sep. (tomorrow) at 1pm GMT is the closing date for registration so if you haven’t booked I advise doing it immediately. You can check on the BMAT website and there should be a link to lead you to a section where you can find all available test centres in your country.
I can't remember honestly, I think it does redirect you to a different site. But if you Google search Ali abdaal bmat crash course it will come up with the right one :)
If someone has passed their 12th grade in India and wants to attend Cambridge med school and attend BMAT 1. is it possible to study thoroughly for the exam within 2 months 2. will we require coaching classes or without that can we get the top mark 3. and for BMATtest will there be other subjects other than PCMB 4. will there be other concepts involved other than concepts we covered till 12th grade I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL IF YOU REPLY🙂

Hi! So you would need to apply through UCAS to undergrad or graduate entry medicine. This video refers to graduate entry medicine which is most relevant to you: ua-cam.com/video/vPckn7g-DX8/v-deo.html

Great vid, do you mind me asking what your scores were for each Section, and what we should be aiming for? ;)
For me I did Bio Chem and Psychology
I’ll need to do both Maths and Physics😭
Good luck! I'm sure it'll be fine :)
Did you do ALL the past papers for both section 1 and 2?
As far as I can remember, yes. But don't just do past papers for the sake of doing them. Make sure you're understanding why you made mistakes
