I'm assuming you're talking about if you plug in a phone, for eg, and the phone reaches 100% will the Flip automatically turn off? In which case, no, but it wont discharge because there's no draw. ~ Lauren
The flip charger is the worst possible way to charge a battery backup. The flip 36 is heavy and you are supposed to plug that directly into the the wall charger 6 inches off the ground? I had to prop up the pack with plates to give it proper support to charge. Terrible design.
Good food for thought thanks, Jackson. I think this will work ok if plugged into a PC as it would hang flat against the side of the computer or lay on the desk. I can see how using a wall charger could be a challenge in certain instances though. ~ Ben
@@SnowysOutdoors My Flip36 charger usb connection pulled away from the device. Tried to solder to the 1mm remaining tab to no avail. I'll try to open the case and hard wire another connection. I don't see how to open it though.
they hold a charge for a long time and can charge devices very well. it can the lifetime of a device with a normally 2 hour lifetime to well over 5 hours. however the flip-36 is SUPER ANNOYING to recharge. half the time i cant even tell if it is charging. ive hooked it up for hours only to find out that it had not properly charged. definitely some absurdly bad design there -- i dont see why they didn't just use the traditional USB in-charge (like a Type-C) like what a normal phone uses
