@Dragonaut111 when our tax system was being built it was constructed in such a way that once your net worth exceeds normal you're basically beyond the scope of the tax man, most billionaires pay lower taxes than their lowest paid employee. Its simply a matter of your accountant figuring out which of the many loopholes best suit your circumstances and exploiting them to their full potential. I'm talking about trusts, I'm talking about moving assets "offshore", and I'm talking about non dom status. The entire system has been designed to keep poor people poor and keep rich people rich

We can't just 'rejoin the EU'. The EU has stated they won't even CONSIDER an application until the question is settled, i.e. when all parties agree and there is a clear mandate from the public we want to rejoin.
That's why Starmer is saying closer alignment in the next parliament, not rejoining - he couldn't even if he wanted to. Maybe if more people had understood how the EU works, or mostly hadn't been lied to, we wouldn't have left in the first place.

Starmer seems keen to build a bitter Britain with his current foreign policy on war crimes and his "clarifications" on his policies. His local representative is running very scared at the moment. A new non-local MP foisted onto an ultra safe Labour seat causing upset in the local machine, they will be aware of the non-local interests pursued as an MP by now. They still turned out religiously to vote for the party as per usual. This religious zeal may not be so dependable in the climate of war.

Labour must do something with the private monoplanes of the utilities, inparticui the water companies. The target must be to renationalise and put into not for profit trusts.
The parasitic shareholders must be removed. The so called regulator is not fit for purpose, fine these companies for poisoning our waterways, and all they do is up the water bills to pay the fine, and carry on paying the private investors.
Taxpayers can’t afford to prop up the privatised utilities any more. I don’t want socialism for private companies.

Will Labour change the laws on buy to let, then build our communities council houses and up north? So our councils have an independent income stream separate from the government that can be invested in more council housing for the working poor?
Will labour re-nationalise our healthcare system and services, so our NHS isn’t being charged through the nose for the buildings they once owned but now have to lower care standards, underpay the boots on the ground just to be held to ransom to pay for rents?
Will labour start changing the National curriculum to teach technical skills that used to be taught when I was growing up like:
Home Economics, woodwork, metal work, mechanics and household electronics? Being able to cook to feed families, to balance the books, to repair clothing and learn household management skills are an essential part of our future generations lives. More finance and a little law needs teaching in schools over RE, sexual delusions, algebra etc.
Is labour going to Bring back YTS’s?
We need homes for our working class pensioners, our families. Children need stability, families need stable incomes especially when raising children or in their golden years.
We need more land turned over for housing and active travel and less land turned into car parks! The health of the nation needs to come before the ever increasing size and number of personal vehicles.
We need to get rid of WORKING TAX CREDIT/benefits. Why are we paying so corporate executives can have bonuses if they can’t pay their staff? A single basic income should Pay enough to cover the basics of raising children (roof over their heads, utilities, food and clothing).
We need more people to have children in this country but who can afford to be a stay at home mum? Who can afford childcare?
We need to go back to basics and learn from the past!

As long as its not an enclosed piece of land - such as a home property, or a fenced off farmers field etc. They it allows people FREEDOM to go explore nature, camp where they want to, and generally enjoy roaming the land.@@silver4831
@@silver4831 you can still limit access as fenced off areas like fields, or gated areas likeyour house's land etc. and using private signs to stop people walking on your other private lands is even sometimes acceptable.
However access to forests and mountains and nature and rivers etc generally speaking, should be for all to enjoy, especially in such a small and cramped country like the UK.
It also allows for people to go wild camping wherever they like as long as they are responsible - I love and partake of this in Scotland with my fiance and friends, and it's just good for the soul 🥰

God help is all. I feel for my kids and grandkids, we have at least 5 years of real pain heading our way.
