@@Gabriel-brasilpoorforever okay and? was that exactly a bad thing that Rockstar Games took this direction despite what happens at the end of John this was a good story direction and for John's character.
I love how the whole game you're denied every chance at a satisfying confrontation with any of the main villains. Colm, Cornwall, Bronte and even Milton get unsatisfying deaths that really just leave you disappointed and hollow feeling. But it all changes in the final confrontation with Micah. He's the only one that you get to personally pump full of lead for what he's done and it beautifully releases all that satisfaction that you were denied throughout the whole game.
I would argue that Bronte and Colm's deaths were both pretty satisfying, at least to me. I would agree that Milton's death was pretty lackluster, though. I would also agree that Micha's was the most satisfying death in the game. No other "final boss" fight has given me the same feeling I got after shooting Micah in the balls 6 times.
I really felt micha was so clearly the bad guy it would turn out to be like a red herring. I was kinda waiting to be surprised not that he WAS the rat but rather he WASN’T.
I feel you may have missed the point of the story. It’s not really about who the rat was but rather who Dutch chooses to trust. his friend of 20 years who’s doubting him (with Dutch’s own good in mind) or a guy he’s known for 6 months, is a piece of shit. Micah NEVER questions Dutch, but instead just goes ”let’s go boss” at every request Dutch has,
I played RDR2 as a prequel to RDR1 knowing nothing about the plot besides what the name implied. I genuinely thought Abigail was the traitor because of how they mentioned her getting away in Saint Denis. Just seemed too convenient. I thought she had a deal with the law to keep her and Jack safe at the cost of the gang. And Micah seemed, as you said, way too obvious. Obviously doesn’t make sense if you know the plot of the first game but it made sense with no other context.
i think i would have cried even more in the scene when John asks Abigail to marry him if he said " It would mean a lot to me." That would really show how much Arthur's sacrifice meant to john.
@@PremoSaysThings no, it would be goofy 💀💀proposing and having to leave someone to die has NO parallels, and john is his own man with his own words isn't he
I’m a John Marston fanboy. RDR1 and RDR2 are my favourite games of all time. John is my favourite protagonist ever after Indiana Jones and the epilogue of RDR2 is incredible for me. It’s literally pure fantasy service for us RDR1 fanboys and it’s not rushed or anything. It’s really well done. The full story of John Marston at least for me, is the greatest story in gaming.
This was awesome to read. Just an awesome comment. I’m happy to share the enthusiasm about a character. Cool profile pic too! Thanks for the comment. Thanks for watching.
That’s how i played, played rdr2 a while ago and now that rdr1 came out on pc i just finished the story and it just brought me back to how Arthur left me
I played rdr2 first but I knew John died. I also knew Arthur died in the end of rdr2 so I had the ENTIRE game to prepare for it and I still was in tears.
I wish it had more content, yeah. Like more random encounters of people Arthur met, or even the gang as a whole. I really wish we could've met more old gang members just by really looking.
Exactly the same sentiment here. When you can continue playing the epilogue with nothing more missions to complete, I felt so empty inside, feeling like I wanted more. RDR1 is great, but John being forced into the situation and being away from home sucks so much.
Besides getting mad at John for helping protect the same man's livelihood after he provided them with a roof over their head, food, and stable work despite having suspicions about John's past
He would have had a good ending had he just stuck with the name jim milton, putting his name as john marston on his house contract was the beginning of the end. I love this game so much after i killed the squatters john walks away and the weather creeps up slowly but surely into a thunderstorm and it pans to the lightning and john was in the accountants office as you could see him sign his name and right after he signed i heard a loud thunder crack almost symbolizing him letting the law take control of him.
I think once people can look past their grief for Arthur to really sit with the epilogue, most come to the understanding that there was no better way to continue the narrative minus Arthur, while still being able to feel his effect on the world. Awesome video!
I grew up loving John so he’s the GOAT for me. Getting to play as him at the end was an amazing experience that was a perfect execution of story development.
@@PremoSaysThings oh no!! You definitely should. The horse riding from RDR1 is still better than every other game that is not RDR2. 😅 And Undead Nightmare is one of the best standalone expansions of all time.
i didn’t like the epilogue initially but you’ve completely changed my perspective. I feel like the pronghorn Ranch section dragged but it dragged for a reason to show how much effort John would put in for abigail
It dragged my first playthrough cause I'd constantly go back to strawberry to see if I can access Arthur's shit. You just gotta enjoy the ride til chapter 2 epilog
I love the music that plays whenever Abigail and John's relationship is mentioned or seen. Speaking of music, I love how you added music from the game into your video. The score in this game is PHENOMENAL. Loved the Video!
America venom is really the best western end song (yea it’s a song, not the name of the final mission, it’s the the song that plays out when John is alone I think.)
@TennisWall the entire mission in general, and the "cliff climber" ending. The money ending was just Arthur's guitar playing but the cliff ending had the violins that added so much more to it.
The saddest part to me of Abigail leaving is she couldn’t have possibly written that note without help. Jack is already constantly in the middle of their two bickering, and now he has to write this note to his own father from his mother. Jack Marston has got one of the saddest stories in a real-world setting.
Thanks I appreciate that! I love chapter 2 that’s actually my next video lol. I think I’ll do 2 more rdr2 videos then maybe move on to some other things.
I really liked the Epilogue part.. Since we all get to play as John once more.. It also gave backstory of him from RDR1.. RDR2 story was masterpiece.. characters of John and Arthur is unforgettable in gaming history
Micah probably made a deal with the pinkertons that he would bait Dutch with the Blackwater money and then would have him arrested/killed. I think that‘s why Dutch shot him because he knew that Micah was the rat at the end.
Bravo Sherlock… but for real tho… I can’t fkn imagine that Dutch couldn’t put the pieces together all along, and that he trusted Micah… who even in mentality is evil and reckless and only joined like a month before the Blackeater gig, he trusted this obvious problem maker more than his so called son Arthur who he basically brought up, and who was always loyal to him. Greed got the best of Dutch.
@@bonecrushra.k.a.improwise753I think it’s a mixed of greed but also Dutch probably relating to Micah in the way of his dark thoughts. Dutch for all of his so called good deeds was nothing more than a thief and a cult leader trying to play hero and revolutionary. While he might have helped these people who were considered outcast in society he also held them back as we’ve seen during the epilogue with people like Mary Beth, Tilly, Pearson, and John. Imagine the happy life Arthur may have gotten if he wasn’t so loyal to the gang and the man who raised him. Imagine what a smart man like Lenny could have become if he didn’t die at a young age because of reckless people like Dutch. Dutch was the man who helped comfort sadie, he was the man who saved Javier when he escaped Mexico and was starving near death and he did raised two orphan children but in the end when shit hit the fan like it always was going to with the lifestyle he was living he chose to triple down and endanger the lives of all those people he once showed care for. The man Dutch had so many chances to help these people but instead used them as pawns for a vision of America that was never going to become true. He’s a deeply flawed man and it’s why he’s one of my favorite villains in fiction. His story is one that shows what happens when you continue to flirt with the darkness inside of you and what happens when that darkness you tried to hid finally manifest into a living being like Micah.
There certainly is something to critique in the epilogue, especially with John’s weird fusion with Arthur and how John acts but it’s all minor things that you can definitely look past. I always enjoy the epilogue and look forward to it, it has so many great moments in it and is generally very satisfying!
@@splitzerx570I’ve always read that as John trying to retire, and then when Ross takes his family, and makes John hunt down his old gang. A life he thought was over, and wanted his new life back. As to why he’s so aggressive in rdr1 he’s sick of this and just wants to get back to his family. Which makes the ending of 1 sadder, he kept trying to leave his old life only to be dragged back in till he couldn’t be dragged out again.
@@thedevilsleutice Yeah that’s exactly my thoughts as well, but the main thing to me that’s missing is John’s smart little remarks he’d make in RDR1. Either way I don’t see it as a major problem
0:14 what? arthur morgan literally died for the opposite of what john did. he constantly talked about how revenge was a fool’s game and how he just wanted john to go on and live a normal life, arthur absolutely would not have wanted john to go and chase micah lol
I mean, for a majority of the epilogue, it is what Arthur sacrificed himself for, buying a ranch, building a house, escaping the outlaw life, and raising a family. All up into the last mission, that is, when he was blinded by vengeance, which is kinda the point of Rdr 1 and 2, a cycle of revenge. Dutch in Rdr2, John in Rdr2, and then Jack in Rdr1.
This is a wonderful video. Thank you for putting it together. I love the epilogue of RDR2 the character development John gets us phenomenal. The story beautify ties RDR2 and RDR1’s stories together.
The Epilogue has some of the most standout moments in the game. Scaling the mountain mowing down Micah's gang as John's theme plays is probably one of the most memorable moments in gaming for me. My takeaway after playing it is that it's very good, but I don't necessarily want to play through it on subsequent games because by and large I enjoy playing as Arthur so much more. If you loved the base game, you owe it to yourself to play through it at least once.
I agree, the epilogue is peak writing and fiction and every time I see or hear someone talk negatively about it in any variety of way I can’t help but wonder if they even played the same game as me. These people must have far too shallow of thinking if they can’t appreciate the pure bliss that is the epilogue after all the hardship the rest of the game was. And it was damn earned! Love this vid. John is my favorite character and honestly a big reason why I dared to get married at 21 myself, it means a lot to me. The game and my relationship that is. Thanks for this trip down memory lane.
You are creating videos on the level of if not better than bigger creators in the red dead scope like fizhy. This production value is insane for the amount of subs you have and I can't wait to see how much better they get hundreds of thousands of subs from now. Instant subscription.
That is such a huge compliment. Thank you so much. Fizhy is such a big inspiration to me! Thank you for watching and again thank you for the great comment. Definitely excited for the future. Appreciate it.
My dad played this game and 100% it. For years he told me to play and I never did. I kept being overwhelmed by the size of it so I never gave it a fair chance until 3 weeks ago. With that said, I beat it in those 3 weeks and played it every single night whenever I put my son to bed. I was so immersed I would call my dad the next day and ramble on about how amazing this game is and he would give me spots to go to and we’d talk about the story and just how one of a kind this game is. I’ve always been super close with my dad but this game bonded my dad and I even further and I’ll never forget that. Thank you, Rockstar.
Dude I look forward to the Epilogue every time, one of my favorite parts of the game for some reason. I just love the cautiousness of it, and its one of those things that re-contextualizes RDR1. Seeing John build the place up, go through a period of missing Abigail and Jack and them finally getting this little piece of happiness makes the ending of RDR1 that much more tragic and bitter (in the best way)
I didn’t play RDR1 until years after playing RDR2. After I finally got around to it, I grew so much more love and appreciation for the epilogue of RDR2. Bittersweet knowing what happens in the end. Truly masterful writing
I think the epilogue wraps up Jhon Marstons story to Red dead 1 nicely and also giving us the happy ending he deserved even we all know what going to happen after it.
I love the epilogue. It allows you to play as the OG himself again. Killing Micah, exploring the west, bounties, strangers with John, it was perfect. Well, l just wish John had his original rdr1 hair model.
I loved the epilogue and I also love that moment when you finally get to kill the man that killed Arthur. Also I just want to say you have some of the best videos I have ever seen
Since rdr1 i fell in love with John. The epilogue felt like a dream to me. Love this fool ❤ Always put a smile on my face seeing him happy with his family.
It was so crazy when I play the first time of the epilogue replay as Arthur Morgan the time in his shoes after Arthur's passing and now we're in John's shoes and the thing is that play as John things goes bad
For me the epilogue makes Arthurs story even sadder. You are right, John did all this through love wheras Arthur was incapable after what happened to his former partner and Issac. He wants to with Mary but he just can't
I understand a lot of people find it boring. But part of me believes that some parts are purposely dull. Showing the contrast of life on the run in the gang vs. trying to settle down and be a family man. It definitely picks up. But I think the purpose of milking cows and feeding chickens etc… is to give the player the same itch John would have obviously been feeling.
This is one of the greatest videos I have ever watched, about the greatest game ever made and the only game to really hit me hard in the feels. Thank you.
The epilogues of both games are my favorite parts of the games by far. The back and forth of John and Uncle, John trying his best to be a good father and guiding figure for his son, and the romance between John & Abigail. These games are right up there among the best cinematic works ever made :)
What’s awesome is John’s sentence “to be the man you deserve.” Which makes me realize how John understands the kind of man Arthur was. He knew there was something special about Arthur that Abigail loved knowing he never had that side. To be a real man on his own along with his family , he truly added so much to John’s character that makes me appreciate rdr1 way more and makes me feel so much more sorrow for his desire to return to this way of life after Ross makes him wipe the gang. He no longer wanted that life and wanted to keep being that man for Abigail. Man that breaks my heart
A nice little detail during the strawberry section with Cleet before going after Micah. While interrogating Cleet, if you look and listen closely, you can hear and see Charles talking to the townsfolk about who Cleet is, and his affiliation with Micah Bell. It’s such a small detail most miss but I love it so much, it just adds detail to such a small scene and shows you how much love and care rockstar had for the red dead series.
Just saw a comment saying “this is one of the best RDR2 videos ive ever seen” and i couldnt agree more and ive watched ALOT of them. This was great man. I have a short attention span and sat here for 40 mins glued to my phone very entertained. I was shocked to see only 2K subs.(just gained another btw)This was very well done
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER for those who haven’t played rdr 1 i think the ending of rdr 2 for me was kinda erie and bittersweet because like many others i already knew john’s fate one thing that i think people overlook that the story tries to tell is the cycle of violence vengeance is an idiots game john taking out micha and his whole gang puts him on Edgar Ross’s radar and is a decision that eventually kills him also is something that was essentially taught to jack which makes him continue this cycle of violence and he becomes what they tried so hard for him not to become
Bro this comment made me realize that I forgot to put in the video Arthur saying that vengeance is a fools game. Darn. Thank you for the excellent comment and the insight. Appreciate it
I enjoy the missions with charles and uncle a lot, fighting the skinners and building the house. The missions with Sadie are cool too. Great video mane.
I have a feeling that Dutch thought that John maybe let Micah go,so he wanted to put John in trouble by killing Micah himself and knew John would shoot him too. So when Pinkertons find out they search for John and the troubles begin for him as it's in his account. Considering the way Dutch treats John in RDR1. Just a thought btw
@@israelrocha2878 yeah that's the reason I am not sure..but Pinkertons definelety won't investigate the death of unknown gangsters too..If they investigate there are more similar situations where it could get the Van Der Linde gang to the law. (As you know there were Cornwall's money behind Pinketons) Pinkertons are only interested in Micah as he is the one who helped them.
His wife was cracking the doctor or somebody. She's supposed to go housekeep for the doctor in strawberry but if you go to the doctors office when she's supposed to be there it's closed
For me this was a seweral hours marathon. Started evening ended close to noon. Never seen such intense story telling and probably it wouldn't happen again. It was hipnotizing.
Great video. Its always tough for me to replay both knowing the outcome. Its wild that in the end, if john wouldve fully listened to arthur and not looked back, he never wouldve went after micah and thus never wouldve lead agent ross to him and his family, of course, then theres no rdr1 lol
The epilogue is the best part of the game, and critical to John as the central protagonist of the Redemption duology. Arthur and Jack are more than meaningful aspects to his life - along with developments of their own - but the John we knew from RDR1 was always there. Less refined and more hotheaded in his younger years, letting his doubts and Dutch's gaslighting cause him to be flagrant and irresponsible, but everything good that we love about him was there and it's good to see those qualities come into fruition. I respect the story's willingness to knock characters down a peg and make things more complicated.
The epilogue is my favorite part of Rdr2. I religiously played RDR and love John. I grew to love Arthur but playing as John again with the added backstory from his earlier years with the gang made it so much better. Not even mentioning how you turn into the one man army John Marston we know from the first game during American Venom *chefs kiss. Just a masterclass of storytelling.
Not a very good one man army in this game since Micah pins him down behind a crate until Sadie magically appears on the mountain with no explanation as to how she got there
I recently finished my second play through and can’t believe how many side missions i missed. The little love story between Arthur and Charlotte was is something thats not talked about a lot. In a different world Arthur lives the rest of his days peacefully with her
Congrats! Yeah it definitely is super sad. I was hoping he got that ending. Thanks for commenting and watching, I really appreciate it. Maybe I’ll do a video on Arthur and charlotte
This is truly a well crafted video of this part of the game. I just beat the game on my 3rd play through full high honor best ending, teared up again to say goodbye to Arthur. Masterpiece
I'm 47 years old, and I've been playing console games since I was 5 years old, starting with Pac Man and Space Invaders on the Atari. The last game I finished was RDR1, about 8 or 9 years ago. And I've always said it was the best game I ever played. After almost a decade break from consoles, a mate highly recommended I play this game. About 2 months ago, I bought RDR2 and finished the story mode just last week. And all I can say is "WOW!" I was actually sad and depressed for a few days after Arthur died. And felt genuine satisfaction when I got to avenge his death, by killing Micah. Now I will tell people Red Dead Redemption 2 is easily the BEST game I've EVER played. A true Masterpiece! 10 out of 10. 🏆🥇🏆
Love what you've done. I really enjoyed the epilogue as a set up for the story in RDR and there was definitely unfinished business. For me, although you play as Arthur and John, RDR2 is as much a story about Sadie Adler. Those O'Driscoll's did more than just kill her husband.
Just found your channel through this video and you've definitely got a knack for script writing and editing my friend. This video is amazing. I never understood why people didn't appreciate the epilogue for this game. We all grew up loving John and to get revenge on Micah for Arthur AS JOHN was amazing. It really put the exclamation point on one of, if not the THE, greatest story ever told through video games. You've gained a subscriber out of me and I wish you well towards garnering the audience your quality of work deserves.
This ending was one of my favourite parts, because I’d always heard a lot about the story of RDR2 before playing it, but I never even heard about the epilogue, so it was a whole new story I knew nothing about going into it (I still have not played RDR1, mostly because I don’t have the patience to emulate or consoles with it).
10:55 She is unreasonable. Is he not supposed to fight back when attacked? He's not allowed to defend himself anymore. Was he out robbing people when they got attacked while he was with his son or did he go to pick up a package she sent him to go get that. She couldn't remember the name it was under no, but anything that happens to John is automatically John's fault. Even if he had no idea it was going to happen. We'll just blame him for every bad thing in the universe
LITERALLY!!!!! Abigail p*sses me off for this! Is she STUPID?!?! Why the hell did she use his ACTUAL name for the package?!?! 🤦♀️ It is LITERALLY her fault and the game acts like it was John who f*cked up. I HATE this plot point. It just makes Abigail come off as a dumb b*tch. Changing your name to start a new life is Van Der Linde gang 101 sh*t. 🙄
There are multiple instances in the epilogue where John does the "right" thing, when given hard choices, but then faces harsh criticism by Abigail for those actions. Understandably, she would be against him falling back into is old ways, but it got to the point where it felt like she was just being willfully ignorant by unfairly laying all the blame at his feet. Her leaving him was about the final straw for me. It made it hard for me to like her and root for John to stay with her. As one who considers RD2 to be one of the best video games ever made, I found myself being disappointed by the writing. I felt she needed more justification for how critical she was of John, and a few narrative tweaks could have made that possible. For example, early on making John fly off the handle and turn to violence too eagerly, when there are obvious better choices of non-violence. That would have given Abigail believable justification for her concerns, instead of just making her an insufferable nag. I wholly confess that I could not have done the amazing job that the writers did on RD2. Not even close. My John/Abigail gripe is just something that I'll have to get over.
After the depressing and action packed Chapter 6 I really enjoy the Epilogue especially being in Pronghorn Ranch The simple tasks of milking cows, picking up horse and cow crap, birthing foals, fencing is pretty comforting I'm glad the Epilogue is long and doesn't end right away with John getting his ranch, married and end with a happily ever after 🤣 It took time for John to get his ranch mean time he worked hard for months until he felt like asking for help from Mr Gedes to put a good word to the bank for a loan Bounty hunting with Sadie was fun too During my first playthrough after Arthur's death I didn't really tear up like most fans did Yes I felt saddened and grief I just sat in silence in my dark bedroom staring at the screen as the sun rises and Arthur takes his last breath Cut to 8 years later we're now with John and Abigail bickering about finding a place to lie low having to drive the wagon to Strawberry then to Pronghorn to deliver it was simple and calming I did miss Arthur and felt kinda off playing as John Marston after a long journey with the Van Der Linde gang From Colter, Horseshoe Overlook, Clemens Point, Shady Belle, Guarma, Lakay Then Beaver Hollow The absence of Javier, Bill and Dutch knowing they're still out there was kinda sad knowing what happens in the first game I read the newspaper in game reading the part where Dutch was seen in Tall Trees is haunting Javier is in Mexico and Bill who knows where but he started his own gang now taking charge When it came time to hunt down Micah I honestly didn't care Sure it was satisfying to shoot Micah but the way he died didn't feel satisfying I wanted him to scream in agony after how much pain he's caused to everyone

RDR1 has the greatest story in gaming in my opinion . I too am a John fanboy
This 100%. It’s incredibly well written, satisfying story telling, and character development that takes us nicely into the beginning of RDR1.
Then you gotta realize how nerfed and out of character John acts in the epilogue
I like it but to say it isn't rushed is cope take a good look at John's character model
Imagine playing rdr2 b4 rdr1, and thinking "YAY JOHNS GONNA MAKE IT"
That’s how i played, played rdr2 a while ago and now that rdr1 came out on pc i just finished the story and it just brought me back to how Arthur left me

The emotion I felt when the American venom music kicked in was amazing one of the most emotional part in a video game I’ve ever played
The fact it repeats score from RDR as well is amazing.
Exactly 💯 ❤
The epilogue was freaking incredible, if anything I wish it was longer
Honestly wish they just made rdr1 into rdr2 lowkey they would never need to make a remaster of the game
To think of how insane it would have been if the end of RDR2 transitioned into the beginning of a remastered RDR1. Oh my…
Yeah, but the facial hair-growth bug was never fixed.
This is genuinely one of the best rdr2 videos ive watched
Thank you for the wonderful comment. I appreciate it
Definitely gonna post in the subreddit
@@ajuister let me know how that goes!
@@PremoSaysThings it didn't go well I got tuberculosis from the reddit 😮

I think John’s short life as a rancher after the epilogue is something we’ve always dreamed of in the real world.
I absolutely love the Epilogue of Rdr2. It’s a whole other Red Dead game of it’s own. I really wish John had listened to Abigail.
That is such truth. Thanks for the great comment. Really appreciate it.
@@PremoSaysThings👍
Yeah, it works as a whole dang sequel.
Getting to play as him at the end was an amazing experience that was a perfect execution of story development.
bro i had a friend who played rdr and while i was playing world of warcraft, i brushed it off as a cowboy game. i still havent played rdr.
@@PremoSaysThings oh no!! You definitely should. The horse riding from RDR1 is still better than every other game that is not RDR2. 😅 And Undead Nightmare is one of the best standalone expansions of all time.
We all knew we were going to get to play someone we never thought we would get to play John again
The epilogue is literally the best part of the game, playing again as John and getting revenge was just awesome
My fav part is where John physically morphs his hair and face ino arthurs lol jk I do love it despite John's fucked model
The only thing I whould change is the model of John Marston because I'm not feeling the Arthur Morgan redskin
I love the epilouge because you can finaly get the satisfaction of killing micah. Awsome videos btw
Agreed Micah needed to be put down. Thanks so much for the wonderful comment!

@@pooppoop8142 true
Killing micah is what got john killed, the shoot out led to agent ross and the government finding john
He's a damn fool
I wish John and Arthur had waste Dutch, Micah, Bill and Javier in Beaver Hollow before dealing with Pinkertons and Ross.
12:38 Violinist needs an award for that mini solo. Had helped a major turning point, John Marston FINALLY RETURNS!!!
i didn’t like the epilogue initially but you’ve completely changed my perspective.
I liked the ranch part especially the last mission.
Honestly if the epilogue didn’t exist it wouldn’t be a 10/10. It’s the perfect transition from the second game to the first game.
I love the music that plays whenever Abigail and John's relationship is mentioned or seen. Speaking of music, I love how you added music from the game into your video. The score in this game is PHENOMENAL. Loved the Video!
Thank you for noticing! I appreciate that. It’s one of the best soundtracks out there!
Thank you so much for the comment!
America venom is really the best western end song (yea it’s a song, not the name of the final mission, it’s the the song that plays out when John is alone I think.)
@@NA3RR overrated in my opinion. I really like the music that plays during the mission "red dead redemption"
@@LUNARBL00Mmoney hog ending or cliff climber ending
@TennisWall the entire mission in general, and the "cliff climber" ending. The money ending was just Arthur's guitar playing but the cliff ending had the violins that added so much more to it.
man the music when john is climbing up to kill micah is just epic. I love this game. 2018 was peak gaming
“Yeah, it’s just me”
The saddest part to me of Abigail leaving is she couldn’t have possibly written that note without help. Jack is already constantly in the middle of their two bickering, and now he has to write this note to his own father from his mother. Jack Marston has got one of the saddest stories in a real-world setting.
I was so touched by John’s story. It makes you wonder if we got the full John video game in rdr2 graphics who people would like more

She standin on business
Yeah, we’re kind of forced to push on ahead after shooting Joe, so it’s nice that the devs thought about people that go the other direction
Micah probably made a deal with the pinkertons that he would bait Dutch with the Blackwater money and then would have him arrested/killed.
I think that‘s why Dutch shot him because he knew that Micah was the rat at the end.
that actually blew my mind bro.
@@PremoSaysThings John: "What are you doing here, Dutch?"
Dutch: "Same as you, I suppose."

I agree it’s insane. This game is a masterpiece beginning to end. Thanks for the comment and watching.
Tbh, the epilogue part 2 is in my top 3 best chapters@@PremoSaysThings
Good point
Technically he did live a "normal" life after Arthur's death. He just got rid of Micah in the process.
Micahs death was a bonus
I mean, for a majority of the epilogue, it is what Arthur sacrificed himself for, buying a ranch, building a house, escaping the outlaw life, and raising a family. All up into the last mission, that is, when he was blinded by vengeance, which is kinda the point of Rdr 1 and 2, a cycle of revenge. Dutch in Rdr2, John in Rdr2, and then Jack in Rdr1.
Charles subtly makes this point as well.
And it leads to John and his family's destruction.
I forgot how much stuff actually went down during the epilogue. Thanks for the great analysis!
bro you and me both as i was editing this i was like dang there is so much. lol
This video is very well made! RDR1 and 2 both never fail to make me cry like a baby. Both games are truly amazing experiences.
It felt harsh getting through the door of beechers hope's barn, having play rdr1 and knowing John's fate 😢
Nice video
True stuff. Thank you for the comment and watching appreciate it.
This is a wonderful video. Thank you for putting it together. I love the epilogue of RDR2 the character development John gets us phenomenal. The story beautify ties RDR2 and RDR1’s stories together.
Hey thank you so much! I really appreciate it. John is such a memorable character and I’m glad they did the epilogue
It’s a love letter to the fans of RDR1 giving them more of Johns backstory.
You are creating videos on the level of if not better than bigger creators in the red dead scope like fizhy. This production value is insane for the amount of subs you have and I can't wait to see how much better they get hundreds of thousands of subs from now. Instant subscription.

I think the epilogue wraps up Jhon Marstons story to Red dead 1 nicely and also giving us the happy ending he deserved even we all know what going to happen after it.
this guy needs more recognition
Appreciate that so much! Glad you enjoyed the video

Always put a smile on my face seeing him happy with his family.
Really enjoyed the epilogue. It felt like a therapy session after what happened in the main story. Cathartic.
It was so crazy when I play the first time of the epilogue replay as Arthur Morgan the time in his shoes after Arthur's passing and now we're in John's shoes and the thing is that play as John things goes bad
When you switch to John it’s such a drastic difference! Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.
"Nah, I've gone straight."
So naturally, John starts bounty hunting..
Ha! Beautifully timed Premo! 10/10
For me the epilogue makes Arthurs story even sadder. You are right, John did all this through love wheras Arthur was incapable after what happened to his former partner and Issac. He wants to with Mary but he just can't
heart breaking really.
Knowing rockstar they definitely do it on purpose. The game was meant to start off slow at first that’s why towards the end everything is chaotic.

The scene where you recreate the cover of the first game is so fucking cool it reminded me of how cool John was
Charles is definitely one of my favorites! This is a quality video! Thank you

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER for those who haven’t played rdr 1
i think the ending of rdr 2 for me was kinda erie and bittersweet because like many others i already knew john’s fate one thing that i think people overlook that the story tries to tell is the cycle of violence vengeance is an idiots game john taking out micha and his whole gang puts him on Edgar Ross’s radar and is a decision that eventually kills him also is something that was essentially taught to jack which makes him continue this cycle of violence and he becomes what they tried so hard for him not to become
Bro this comment made me realize that I forgot to put in the video Arthur saying that vengeance is a fools game. Darn.
Thank you for the excellent comment and the insight. Appreciate it
That's the trouble with payback. It never ends.
Makes no sense bc of all the hundreds of dead bodies even if micah got away
@@israelrocha2878 yeah that's the reason I am not sure..but Pinkertons definelety won't investigate the death of unknown gangsters too..If they investigate there are more similar situations where it could get the Van Der Linde gang to the law.
Watching John get revenge for Arthur and proposing to Abigail instantly brought me to tears. This game just captivates your soul.

Oooh brother the transition of John holding the shotgun from his jim miltion outfit to his bounty hunter outfit is just perfection ❤
Uncle roasting tf outta John is the BEST part
"She reckoned I shouldn't waste my time killin ya. But I felt different." So many amazing lines in this story.
Not a very good one man army in this game since Micah pins him down behind a crate until Sadie magically appears on the mountain with no explanation as to how she got there
Uncle ripping into John for 2 minutes straight will always be great
I recently finished my second play through and can’t believe how many side missions i missed. The little love story between Arthur and Charlotte was is something thats not talked about a lot. In a different world Arthur lives the rest of his days peacefully with her

What an amazing video you’ve made. Thank you! Best game of all time!!
Wow thank you! I appreciate that a lot
And all I can say is "WOW!"
I was actually sad and depressed for a few days after Arthur died. And felt genuine satisfaction when I got to avenge his death, by killing Micah.
Now I will tell people Red Dead Redemption 2 is easily the BEST game I've EVER played.
A true Masterpiece!

The best moment of the game is definitely Arthur saying I’m afraid
The hill climb in the snow with the music on in the background. No joke, that scene had me crying and screaming “Let’s go” 😂
24:48 I never picked up on that call back until just now. It made me smile.
Love what you've done. I really enjoyed the epilogue as a set up for the story in RDR and there was definitely unfinished business. For me, although you play as Arthur and John, RDR2 is as much a story about Sadie Adler. Those O'Driscoll's did more than just kill her husband.
Thank you! I will do a Sadie character video at some point. She is a badass
2nd most underrated is this video. Well done 👏
Thank you very much! I appreciate that
Just found your channel through this video and you've definitely got a knack for script writing and editing my friend. This video is amazing. I never understood why people didn't appreciate the epilogue for this game. We all grew up loving John and to get revenge on Micah for Arthur AS JOHN was amazing. It really put the exclamation point on one of, if not the THE, greatest story ever told through video games.
You've gained a subscriber out of me and I wish you well towards garnering the audience your quality of work deserves.
i have a feeling tons more subscribers are on the way for this channel. Great video!
American Venom just always felt like the last stand we wanted for John in RDR1, outnumbered, guns blazing. Instead we see our boy get gunned down.
Same! I think going into rdr2 without knowledge of rdr is a special thing
Having Ross and Fordham find John because he couldn't just leave Micah and had to get revenge is such clever storytelling
Man your videos are by far the best I’ve seen regarding RDR2, it’s a crime that you have less then 10k subscribers. Keep up the great work.
"You're hopeless and I mean that literally you got no hope."
lol damn. That was an unexpected pretty savage roasting by uncle
After the depressing and action packed Chapter 6
I really enjoy the Epilogue especially being in Pronghorn Ranch
The simple tasks of milking cows, picking up horse and cow crap, birthing foals, fencing is pretty comforting
I'm glad the Epilogue is long and doesn't end right away with John getting his ranch, married and end with a happily ever after 🤣
It took time for John to get his ranch mean time he worked hard for months until he felt like asking for help from Mr Gedes to put a good word to the bank for a loan
Bounty hunting with Sadie was fun too
During my first playthrough after Arthur's death I didn't really tear up like most fans did
Yes I felt saddened and grief
I just sat in silence in my dark bedroom staring at the screen as the sun rises and Arthur takes his last breath
Cut to 8 years later we're now with John and Abigail bickering about finding a place to lie low
having to drive the wagon to Strawberry then to Pronghorn to deliver it was simple and calming
I did miss Arthur and felt kinda off playing as John Marston after a long journey with the Van Der Linde gang
From Colter, Horseshoe Overlook, Clemens Point, Shady Belle, Guarma, Lakay Then Beaver Hollow
The absence of Javier, Bill and Dutch knowing they're still out there was kinda sad knowing what happens in the first game
I read the newspaper in game
reading the part where Dutch was seen in Tall Trees is haunting
Javier is in Mexico and Bill who knows where but he started his own gang now taking charge
When it came time to hunt down Micah I honestly didn't care
Sure it was satisfying to shoot Micah but the way he died didn't feel satisfying
I wanted him to scream in agony after how much pain he's caused to everyone
absolutely beautiful comment. you expressed exactly how i felt during those moments. this is almost like a poem. thank you so much!
