I'm thinking of using this technique to paint my kitchen floor in a blue/grey soapstone look. I was wondering how I could easily do it and I think this would work well, and of course plenty of matte polyurethane topcoat.
This is an oldie but goodie. I've got to try this. I have an old partial countertop in the garage I might play with. So creative and beautiful. Thanks Paula
This may be too old video, but you asked what would we do with this technique…… I am going to use this for my work counter in my art studio! Can’t wait to try it! I am going to use the grays and little black! Awesome video, Paula. 🥰🥰🥰
Want to do a laminate counter that’s black shows everything. I think this will work except the laminate and kitchen sink looks like it was molded together, the sink is porcelain not stainless steel. So when I get to the spaces around sink what should I do?
Many questions in the comments section here that I would like to know the answers to as well, maybe you guys could respond to them? I also want to know if you can feel the lines from the tissue paper or not??
I’m thinking and loving this!! Could I do this on countertops that are like concrete tiled squares? Could I use the tissue paper to kind of fill in where the grout is?
I would recommend avoiding the surface for 5 days; you will definitely want to avoid sliding items across the surface during the 30 day cure time. I would wait two weeks before applying poly.
I would use it for my kitchen countertop 11:24

If you want more texture should you crumple up the tissue paper first?
I like to tear my paper so there are no straight edges when applying. I also crumple a little to mess up the fold lines in the paper.
Going to do this to my RV kitchen counter top!! What a fantastic idea!! Thank you so much for this video.
I would do that technique on coffee tables or a kitchen table

If you apply the sanding block at a 45 degree angle while sanding, you shouldn’t. Besides, any top coat will further seal the edges.
Can you paint over granite countertops?
can this be done on epoxy countertops.
I love this!!!

Do you have to use white paper?
What is the best top coat to use for kitchen and bathroom counters and also is a primer necessary.
Would love to refinish my kitchen table.
Would love my counter top. Love that paint job.Xoxoxoxo
Nothing better than fixing an old table. Everytime I’m in a restaurant with messed up tables that’s all I want to do. 😂😂
Is the terrycloth rag that you're using to wipe the colors back wet or dry?
I’m thinking of my bathroom vanity!
What about box store bath vanity/with drop in sink? The counter top is smooth to the touch.
What did you seal it with?
