      Hi Juliana. I, too was thrilled at the duo presentation on tips and tricks using the jewel loom. I was anxiously waiting to learn a great way of removing the finished product and finishing those many loose ends. I’d like, also to learn how to put different clasps on. Please and thank you, one more thing, Ester 4:14 is a great verse. …….For Such A Time As This……🥰

    I so enjoyed your co-presentation. I had my cataracts removed, one in January and the second the first week in February. It is so amazing to have my vision issues cleared up. Beading is going to be so much better now and your tips and tricks for using the Jewel Loom could not have come at a better time. Happy Valentine’s Day

    It was so nice to see Julianna. She is how I got into beading. I used to watch her on Aleene’s Creative Living and it’s where I got the beading bug. I remember purchasing the kit to make the bracelet she showed with the beads in a bag. I’ve expanded my beading skills since then but Julianna started it all for me over 30+ years ago🙂❤️

    Julianna, I enjoyed yours and Kelly’s presentation this morning. I’ve ‘watched’ you since the Aleene’s craft show, I even won one of the categories of the last craft contest with a burnt brown bag project. I did faux wrought iron window treatment. Just was sad after the debacle with awards, at the end. Anyway it has been fun watching your career over the past 20 years or so. Kelly Yours is one of my favorite bead stores to shop at. You both seem like just the nicest people! Hello from Utah!

    i have 4 jewel looms. They are my favorite looms to use. So easy to set up and are a non-bulky portable device. I love that I can have several loom projects in the works at one time.

    Have my jewel loom and it’s well love and used. lol as for getting the bar off after filling it, I use my whole hand, tried the finger and ya that was a hot mess. lol I have made close to 200 different loom bracelets, sent many out as gifts and as well as sold many. I have had my loom for over a yrs and it never fails to make me happy. As we say happy beading 😀 Tfs hugs

    This is a great interview and I love my Jewel Loom. Being this awesome inventor, I’m wondering if Julianna has any ideas on a holder for the loom to make it easier to use.I would love to be able to place it on some kind of holder while weaving.

      I loved Kelly's stand!!!! We have looked at a few things but I think the best way to keep it still is to place it on a silicon type mat. its on the list…..I will let Kelly know if one gets birthed, LOL!

    My daughter bought me the loom from and l just used it for the first time yesterday. I also had a problem with mine not getting it together, but l finally grabbed a tool and pulled one side out a little bit cause it was bent too far compared to the other side, and it finally worked fine after that. I do a lot of jewelry so l had tools and use them all the time, so l was glad when l saw you do the exact same thing. Iol😅😅 l did need more lessons though, l used too many beads that didn't match each other so they didn't set well.

    Julianna, did you once go by the last name of Hudgens (or Hudgins)? I remember you from the scrapbooking industry! I had the pleasure of meeting you in person too, at one of the expos. So good to see you again! Thank you both for these tips and tricks!

    Thank You so much for the lesson because I had brought one a few months ago on Amazon and had to return it because I didn't know how to use it. I never knew you had to remove the bar. wow

    I've seen Julianna many times on JTV/Jewel School, and yes, I have the original Jewel Loom because of it!😉 Tried to get fancy with it right out of the gate: Made four American flag seed bead earrings (two pair) on the loom at the same time, all maximally spaced out on the same warp threads, because I didn't want to waste a lot of thread (as I would by making a single 1.5" earring on the loom). Oops, that was a mistake, because I didn't leave enough thread between each earring to tie off (there's only about an inch or so of warp for each end of each earring). Well, I hate to take things apart (to start over), so 4th of July has come and gone, twice, and the earrings are still attached to the loom. I'm afraid to remove the strip from the loom, since it's easier to work with while under tension, or to cut the pieces apart, lest the short warps fall out of each individual piece. I think if I tie on a new thread somewhere (to a warp thread, while still on the loom?) and do...... something .....I can save the projects and finish as is. Does anyone have an idea what that "something" is? I'd be grateful for any suggestions!😘 I'd love to free up my Jewel Loom and start a new project.👍

      Did you resolve this? I am thinking that you could have sewn a selvedge on each end and added a little fabric trim and crimp clasp. Let me know, Jewels

    • @patriciamorgan6545
      @patriciamorgan6545 2 роки тому

      @@JewelLoom Wow! How delightful to hear from you, Jewels!! No, I haven't resolved it yet, but Memorial Day and July 4 are fast approaching again, lol. I tried a selvedge edge on one pair (2 of the 4 pieces on the loom), but realized it wasn't going to give the look I was going for. The other pair I already have a gold seed bead "flag hanger" inverted V loop with earring finding attached (which IS the look I was going for). Is it possible in some way to tie on extra thread to each of the warps, in turn, and weave somehow back into each piece? It's got me stumped, because (1) I'll only have about 1" of warp in most cases to work with, once I cut each warp thread to separate each flag from the next, and (2), the bead holes run 90° to the direction of warp, so I can't simply run up and down each row to reinforce. I now know I'll have to work each warp end back in to tie/knot off in some way, and was thinking there might be a way to combine this somehow with the back-and-forth reinforcement in the 90° direction (once thread is added to each warp end), but I just can't wrap my head around it. Since I've never completed a loom project before, it may simply be that I don't yet know exactly how to work the warp ends back into the project...and then how to build upon that to reinforce the piece in the 90° direction. Many thanks for any enlightenment you can share!😘

    I love this loom, however, I have great difficulty getting the correct size on a bracelet. I have yet to make a bracelet without having to take out or add half an inch or so. I find this very irritating especially when teaching my granddaughter and she gets discouraged because she does the same thing. Do you have a formula for exact measurements for making a bracelet? Thank you!
