All the time I was living in AB never did I visit Edmonton. Seeing this awesome walkabout just inspires me to get my butt there one of the days. Cheers for sharing.
The river valley and the trails to access it are a real plus for the city. I live on the NW edge of the core of the city and can get down in to the valley by bike from my back door in about 10 minutes, then spend hours riding around on the paved, gravel or singletrack trails. It really is a blessing that I kinda grew up with and didn't appreciate at first.
Thanks for watching - it's a great feature of the city, I hadn't been down there in awhile myself and it was cool taking a solid walk. Going by the riverboat reminded me to take a ride sometime. Cheers mate
@@strangenorth one of my favourite spots is down Kinniard ravine on the north end just off 82 street right before it turns into Jasper Avenue. So beautiful down there, and it connects to the paved trail system.
@@shelleygiesbrecht4759 That's a great area, I spent years living down in Riverdale and I love the area from Dawson Park to the Kinnaird ravine area! I might post more river valley video in the future. Cheers
You missed the best parts! The ceiling of the Tawatina footbridge is decorated with Indigenous art depicting the different areas of Edmonton. And the black lamp posts along the riverbank each are inscribed with one line of a poem, which you can read as you walk along.
Beautiful river valley
It really is!
Ah yes, I remember those days - blue skies with no smoke in the air 😷
No doubt eh, I wonder if the smoke is here to stay now

Thank you for this! It brings back so many fond memories of walking the trails from my youth until I moved away from Edmonton 11 years ago.
Glad you enjoyed this one, I hadn't done a solid river valley walk in awhile!

Thanks for watching - it had been awhile since I took a solid walk down there! Cheers mate
