As with any expansion theres tons to learn during the first week with you realise that perhaps if you were to do things again, you would have taken a slightly different route through the game.
Today im going to share my experiences from the first week of Cata Classic and go over all the tips that I have learned which may help you out on your journey.

Seeing Reforge Lite again brings me some memories lol. It looks exactly the same as it used to look back in 2010
Spirit automatically turns into hit rating via talents for spriest, boomkin, and ele. You dont need to reforge spirit into hit. Just clarifying.
Not spirit directly to hit, but if you use reforge lite or math out how to hit your hit caps exactly, then sometimes you need do some weird reforges, like if you have a spirit/crit piece, you might need to move the crit into hit, etc

I played Vashjir for the first time ever, and I actually enjoyed it a lot
Me too, it was kinda interesting and the aesthetics/music are good as well
Ele and resto shammy has almost the excact same pre raid bis gear (except trinkets)
What addon are you using to show hp and mp beneath the character?
Anyone who doesn't say WillE is the go-to guy for Classic WoW doesn't know him, tell them immediately! He'll sum up what most youtubers will split into five videos into one and even then given information about questions you didn't know you needed to ask, you did they were important! I was an ignorant old Warlock greedily taking the Mage's gear everywhere I went! Professional stuff appreciate the video dude!

Spirit can be converted to hit via talents for boomies for example. So actually really good if you need to get the hit cap
Agreed! I had a priest healer rant at me (ele shaman) for needing on a spirit ring. Explained several times that spirit was hit for me and had to link him the talent in the end😂 then he just left the group
Sadly thats only fo the hybrids, not the pure dps casters.

All the same account i believe, but no, they dont share. A lot of people are asking for that, though

just fished up the turtle mount. it should at the very least be as fast as the seahorse.
The part about stats. I wish people would understand that 😂. Almost every other dungeon I do, there is always this one guy who needs on stuff he is not supposed to.
Uhh spirit for boomkin elemental shadow don’t need to change spirit to hit via reforge they get it by taking the given talent in their tree and it changes it on a 1 to 1 spirit to spell hit
This, spirit on an item means these classes don't have to convert something else to hit.

@@jacobcook7019 meh kinda, they said you shouldn't be converting spirit to hit. I said you shouldn't be converting anything to hit. Just following a basic pre bis list you should be hitting 17% with basically no hit reforging. Im playing ele shaman and am at 17.5% hit with zero reforging for hit and no hit gems.

Spirit items should still go to healers first.

I can see that too and i don't have many addons.

@95soled I had to Google for the download link for atlas loot. Once I downloaded it manually, Wowup updated it.

Uninstall atlasloot and then get the new fan made one called "atlasloot - cata" please support the guy that took on this project it's alot of work for a single dude to rebuild the addon

I used to do 25 dailies in tbc. That got annoying after a while
8:29 That was TBC for Enhancement (1 str = 2 ap), in Wrath it's 1 to 1 and same with agility. Feral in Wrath got 2 ap per strength but obviously agi was better because of heart of the wild etc. And then haste was best at crit cap I believe.
still cant decide whether i should play it or not, been playing cata private servers since i was 9 and had like 2.5k 2s when i was 12. one side of me feels like it would be fun because so many people are playing but other side of me feels like its kinda pointless since all the servers ive played end in quitting one day because its boring :/

That bit about atlasloot being on curseforge is wrong unless i'm missing something i searched and searched after hearing you say that and it's not on curseforge at least US version on the app. i have the incomplete version that people were posting the link to awhile ago but not the official one.

It's still there. I have it. The original dev is no longer working on it. Another guy is. He's slowly getting it together. He has a github for atlas loot. Someone stole it and uploaded it to curse. So the new dev uploaded his own version of it. Its called AtlasLootClassic - Cata Author is Snowflame0

Eleshamans dont need to convert spirit to hit, they get hit from spirit.

Don't ele shaman have a early talent that makes Spirit beneficial?

8:15 dear lord, don't do that. all of these classes have talents that convert spirit to hitrating. If anything, reforge superfluous spirit into haste to get a haste cap, then other stats.

I think a lot of people don’t know what “pre-nerf” and “post-nerf” means for Heroics.
Most of the original 4.0.6 - 4.1 dungeon changes were minor bug-fixes and tuning to boss mechanics.
The heroics feel easier today because it’s not 2011 anymore. If you ignore most boss mechanics, you will still wipe your group.
4:22 or you know you could just take the portal in SW/Org.... that brings you right to the rep vender...
8:37 No AtlasLoot is still not active on curse and it is not updated. the only update is from that one reddit post where they tell you how to change certain values in the config files.
The vash portal takes you to the very starting quest rather than the vendor if you haven't been there before so that's incorrect

really good video, but after watching it i ve completely lost interest in cata classic...why do they always bring post nerf content and latest patch talents, makes the game much more easier...they should do 1 month pre nerf then post nerf so that ppl can have a challenge and can witness the times, were heroic dungeons were truly heroic and were hc raids were really spicey, especially ragnaros 25 hc.
Wait oh my god actuslly cata is out already? Damn I didn't think I would miss out on the launch of pre patch and this. Guess I am just really not into the game anymore
It's an extremely fast leveling experience, you could level up and be ready for the first week of raiding if you wanted.
@@DefianceOrDeath im honestly considering to resub because cata was one of the few expacs I never played but I also kind of am tired of the game hence why I was so surprised cata is already out and I'm now in a little predicament if I want to play or not^^

Eh, I wouldn’t say extremely fast unless you have a full set of heirlooms. 1-85 takes a very long time unless you just boost. Not as many people lower level like in the pre-patch.
You will need at least a week at 85 to grind heroics and get your reps to revered for pre-BiS.

@@brandonkruse6412 oh no I have a level 80 charachter I played wrath but I quit like march 2023. I decided to resub today and I think it wasn't a bad decision. The questing is pretty fun at least. And there seems quite a few things to do other than raiding ( I only play marksman hunter in raids so I'm bound by how good it is if I'm gonna raid a lot)

Cata is anti-fun for everyone except tanks. I deleted the mage I had since lvl 60 classic.
Theres zero argument why classes like boomies and eles should pass spirit hear to healers. Absolutely none
So basically cata is as hard as mythic plus
It takes around 15-20 min to find a group for a heroic dungeon at peak times. Feels like cata is DoA compared to wrath/sod and other versions that predated it

Not always. I play DPS on Mankrik and the past few days it’s slowed down big time. I’ve seen many 20+ minute Que times and when you do get in, you have to deal with people leaving.
It was like that in wrath if you aren’t being a troll. Dps is always a long que in any game it’s not rocket science honey child
@@lookherelooklisten3078 So first of all, wrath didnt have the lfg tool that we have today at the expansion strath. Wrath was also way more popular in the beginning than cata and finding groups was way easier, even with the old tool. And even when the current lfg tool in wrath was introduced, it was still easier to find a hc or alpha/beta/gamma dung in wrath than in cata. So I guess you must be trolling me, because I dont get that defensive response otherwise.
Also ofc the tool takes longer for dps than healer and tank. But I have a dedicated raid team and I cant just show up with a healer or tank. Smh, these answers. Dont worry guys, I didnt look for a solution obviously. I just find it super weird that it takes so long (yes, even as dps), when the xpac is literally out for one week.

i wish i knew before that pvp arena still hardcore suxx u go oom as caster dd and ppl just running away for 40+mins and trying to drink thats peak shit gameplay and i alt f4 during my 3. arena game. i boosted 2 chars to 80 and bought gold so would safed me over 180€ knewing before pvp is shit here too

the raids are pre4.2 nerfs but they are still post-4.1 hotfixes which did nerf some bosses.
