Ice Cube was on Joe Rogan and said he made his son take acting classes for 2 years before he auditioned for this part. He said OShea went to the audition and was pissed that there were 18 or so people auditioning so he went in there and killed it and the person who cast him called and said 100% out of everyone he was by far the absolute best so I think it is awesome he made him do that himself 🙏🥰

Facts, they did Eazy dirty in this movie. Dude was never broke, they said him and Dre were basically neighbors, they could see each others houses from their balcony’s.
The first bunch was a family of 6. One of them was and older woman, The grandma I assume, not sure if it was her idea or the parents to leave. The kids couldn't have been at least between 12-14. But an older couple too left behind with them a min after lol
REALLY? I guess some people cant handle historical fact. I was there, and the actors blew my mind with the correct behavior of Torrace Police Department I dont even think they stop saying "STAY FUQ OUTTA TORRANCE" till after 2001
They made Eazy look soft and Dre like a superhero. I know Leo that you've reacted to Real Muthaphucking G's so it doesn't come as a shock, that the whole beef wasn't even mentioned. Many scenes especially including Eazy was just false for example- the scene where E gets beaten by Suge never happened and many ppl has stated that nobody could have touched Eazy because E had almost every compton crip behind him. -There is no way Dre could just punch some Blood and walk out of there.. Come on. -and the scene where eazy cries after seeing dre poster is just straight bullshit. Eazy made money from Dre's The Chronic album because he was legally still with Eazy, E made like 25 or 50cents a copy for The Chronic album. And what's funny about that, is that in Chronic album Dre made a diss about Eazy called "Dre Day" and Eazy was getting paid for it. Eazy E's reply to that diss is called "Real muthaphuckin G's" where is a line "Dre day only meant Eazy pay day". Eazy never had to downgrade his house or anything like that, he had platinum selling artists like Bone Thugs N' Harmony, he was in a good spot. And ofc they didn't show the Dre and Eazy beef because most of us know how that went, and Dre was making this movie and many people close to E say that they did E dirty and i'm not disagreeing. Eazy was a real one and a very smart businessman and an OG. R.I.P The Godfather of Gangsta Rap- Eazy E
Im glad you said that... Eazy was far from soft and a dummy. His daughter talked about a documentary being produced, but nothing is happening. Every OG in the industry said Eazy was nothing to play with,
The fact they made Dre look like some saint is what bugged me, especially knowing how much of a scumbag he was a lot of the time. Just ask Dee Barnes and many other women he physically assaulted.
I didnt see soft. But I guess I was more focused on the impossibility of being born into such a flawed portion of society. To uprise a change and to have the mind set not to behave as expectedly. To turn away from drugs jail or worse. I believe that the government had something to do with Eazys death. Ive always thought that since way back then. And I think of him this way if he had lived can you imagine the accomplishments he would've made by now. He may have been a asshole, but the man had compassion, humanity, and he understood business . How things worked he wasnt supposed to die so young. And no body died so fast from AIDS. That in itself was odd.
Of course, most of everyone is like we expect in the movie, but in reality Brian was in the bathroom in his office, everything else is mostly accurate.
Who would’ve thought that five guys from Compton would create something so raw and powerful that it would inspire others to step up to the mic? Eazy-E wasn’t able to live a full life, but at least he was able to marry Tomica before he left. There’s a sense of beauty in that. Life is short, but we can still make something beautiful out of it. 20:54 this is another moment that really broke me. I cried watching Corey Hawkins’ portrayal of Dr. Dre mourning the loss of his brother. Seeing him surrounded by his crew was a very powerful moment. There was still a strong sense of brotherhood amongst his friends, and he didn’t have to mourn the loss alone. Shoutout to both you and Mellverse. He’s the only other reactor I know who was seen this film. I hope you guys check out other biopics in the long run.
a fact that they didn't put in the movie about suge knight coming up with the money to make death row records. suge threatened vanilla ice who at the time came out with his hit song, ice ice baby. suge and a few of his people went to his hotel room and threatened vanilla ice by hanging him outside his hotel window until he agreed to sign over the royalty rights to the song witch at the time was around 3-4 million dollars
I made Ice Cube laugh one time. I saw him in the Valley, an area outside LA that was the exact opposite of Compton, and Cube was in a black Range Rover talking and looking grumpy like he always does. So I stood on the corner smiling and giving him a little wave until someone in the car pointed at me, the crazy white lady and Cube looked over and started smiling and shook his head. I just started laughing. 😂
I love this movie it’s my top 5 biopics, when you talked about Cubes son at 4:40. Little fun fact Cube made his son get good grades and finish school to get play his father in the film. He had mentioned it in interviews following the films release.
Eazy-E was really a natural. He was the most talented out of any of them at that point in time and he wasn’t even supposed to be in the group. You gotta do yourself a favor and go listen to this music now that you watched the movie.
Leo as someone who was a freshman in high school when they came out, let me tell you this group changed the game. Check out the songs Boyz In The Hood, Dopeman, and the entire Eazy-Duz-It album by Eazy E. I still bump them on a regular. Moved to LA in ‘91. In Hawthorne, not far from Compton. I know where all these locations are. Watched this movie at the Crenshaw Plaza theater years later, back when I lived in Leimert Park, where BLM was founded. A lot of scenes from this movie were filmed in my neighborhood. Lived next door to, played dominoes every day with, sold weed every day to a former Blood gang member who’d just been released from prison for beating up a guy at the Popeye’s Chicken on the corner of Western and MLK. There were a dozen dispensaries within a mile of my house. Good times…good times… RIP Lance. You were a real one. One less reason to go back. What a different world I live in now, in rural Oregon, though.
I wasn't familiar with any of their music, but I was a fan of Snoop Dog's and Eminem, which were both brought up by Dre. This movie is fun. If it were a full on fiction it would still be fun, but the fact that it's based on real events also makes it something of a history lesson. I must have seen the extended directors cut three times.
They were very public persons, were on the news a lot, and even their conflicts were turned into songs when they were doing the diss tracks. So yeah, I'm sure this is fairly faithful to the verifiable, broad facts. I just mean they had to distill and concentrate some of their experiences so that it all flows better in the context of a movie.

I did some research when I first watched this, great movie despite the inaccuracies, but I remember watching a few scenes on youtube and everyone in the comments were laughing at how biased the movie was cause Dr. Dre was an executive producer on the film and they were laughing cause Dre would've never done any of the "hard shit" he did in the movie, unlike E, Ren, & Cube, he never would've punched anyone, stood up to a cop, or Suge. Also, Cube wrote most of N.W.A's songs, at least their biggest hits, he was the lyricist, thats why him leaving was such a big thing and a big mistake on N.W.A's part to diss Cube
They really made Eazy E look soft and I know Ice Cube and Dr. Dre are the producers and bigger than the other members, but they should have given more screen time for DJ Yella and especially MC Ren because Ren didn't talk that much and he's honestly my favorite out the group. Dre knew what he was doing not mentioning or even showing he didn't date or beat Michel'le so she showed us the truth on lifetime.

Eazy's death was definitely huge. This genre isn't my area of expertise but as a kid, I even knew about his death and who he was. Until this movie, I couldn't have listed every member of NWA, but I still knew about Eazy, Dre, and Cube.
If theres any Blink 182 fans here, they know how meaningful that ending is! Blink got back together before something happened to one of them... Their new song "one more time" "strangers, from strangers into brothers, from brothers into strangers once again" "do i have to die to hear you miss me". its very relatable here. RIP Eazy, we miss you.

NWA wasnt able to get back together and write new music, as Blink just did that very thing after Mark almost dying, and is on tour with Tom right now. Its meaningful because Blink is doing what NWA wasnt able to do.
Yes ice cube actually destroyed that office and it wasn't all that uncommon back then. Those executives would never press charges or her lose their cash cow.

the 92 riots originally started on Normandie and Florence. and i was only 10 minutes away from all the chaos and i did had some bad experience with the cops being dicks to me and my friends just for walking home at night.

One of my all time favorite movies! Its almost eerie how much Ice Cube's son looks like him in general, but especially in this movie haha he nails it. I wish more people reacted to this, but because of the music im sure its a copyright nightmare. Another one of my favorite biopics is Walk The Line about Johnny Cash! Youd love that too!
Walk the Line turned me into a Johnny Cash fan. I love biopics, so I'll literally watch one on anybody, but I ended up really liking this. Joaquin and Reese were excellent.
@@taneshah.1260 I grew up liking his music as a kid cause my dad was a big fan and always listening to him, but the movie made me love him! And yeah Joaquin and Reese are incredible!
and the greatest thing about this story... Snoop Dogg ended up buying "Death Row Records." The lable that started his career. :) Great reaction dude. :)
One of my favorite movies about artists that I listened to as a young teen!! NWA was the music I listened to behind my moms back, because the only rap/hip hop I was allowed was Fresh Prince and DJ Jazzy Jeff.
Ice cube was a beast! Everyone just sees him as a cool, funny actor. But that guy was at the start of rap greatness! I need to re-watch this film over. My dude, that reaction was great.
I don’t know bloods and crips , but I do know Midwest organizations 😂🤫. All Is Truly Well. And ice cube really did go in that dude office and destroyed everything with a bat.
15:00 - Leo, you need to look up the band and commercials for The California Raisins. I Heard It Through the Grapevine is a good song! Otherwise, this was a good film! Great that you finally saw it! If you want other hip-hop biopics, look at Get Rich or Die Tryin' and Notorious.
for some odd reason OG 2-TONE will always be my fave part of this film (maybe bc almost everything else, aside from the actual music, police abuse of authority, / "War On Drugs" characterization, & grimey backstabbing ass industry execs is either glamorized or outright fabricated by the surviving, EXEC PRODUCING members 🤷🏻♀️) hell, the bus scene could very well be just as fictional, but STILL memorable. i always imagine right after he steps off the bus, the end shot cuts back inside to Keenan-Ivory Wayans as he yells "🗣️ MESSAGE" before the scene ends.....🤣 historically accurate or not, OG was spittin bars!
No Valseline is STILL the coldest diss track, and there's been some nasty ones since then. Nail in the Coffin, Takeover, Hit 'em up, Ether. But No Vaseline still takes it fr
Real talk bro, Cube confirmed that scene where they smashed the records. The actor that pulled up on the school bus is a real life blood. Dre would not have talked to Suge the way he did, Suge would have had Dre smoked. Easy E and Ren were the only 2 that were affiliated with the crips.
Bro do NOT believe everything in this movie, remember that Dre never really got over that beef with Eazy 😅 made him look like a sissy in this Also! Eazy’s son wanted to act in this but they wouldn’t let him. Probably cus they knew there was no way he would have agreed to portray his father the way they wrote him in this
22:40 a lot of people in Detroit (my home town) say the police are the ones who started shooting. Some say because they were attacked and others say they started shooting just to end the concert
My sister fn loves nwa and easy e (easy was her favorite by far).. so we went and saw this in the theater.. we loved it.. but funny story she busted out singing Boyz n hood in front of our awesome African American coworkers and they were just shocked that this little white chick could bust it out lol. She was in high school at the height of the awesome rap game the early 90s.. she knows what's up! Snoop was my first favorite rapper! I think I was 13 when gin and juice came out.
17:24 this is standard practice for the LAPD. I speak from experience. Used to take us to the marina, handcuff us to the fence, beat us up and then drop us off in the enemy’s neighborhood. Facts
I loved the casting of this movie. It just proves you can find good actors who look the part as well. Even if some people made their movie counterpart. 😊 As far as you doing research. Movies are supposed to be good even if you know nothing about them going in. So if the numbnuts in the comment section pick on you for missing something, that's the movie's fault. Most people who make those complaints watch these movies more than once and have the plot explained to them before they come here to give you crap. Don't worry about those phonies. 🤗
This movie was spot on. Ice Cube and dr dre made sure they looked good and their reputations was protected haha this movie was good though. Whats sad about it is nothing has changed as far as police brutality over the years. But other than that this was a great film.
All them situations really happened. The bat scene of cube" the beef, the fall out, the fights all of it. They was tough and was with all the shits lol but everyone reconciled before Eazy E died. But they truly was like brothers no matter the issues.

Watched it late in the theater run. Had the management restart the whole movie for me and homegirl since we were the only ones in the seats. Bye Felicia
My favorite part of the movie was them singing fuck the police after the cops told them not to. And also Dr. Dre isn't a gangster he made himself look tough in this he was only tough in the booth and with women...yeah he beat up women.
I had an . . . interesting experience watching this in theaters. I was never a fan of rap growing up. During NWA's heyday, I was a middle class white kid playing trumpet in band class. And I knew, damn near none of their stories going in to this. And I was blown away. This humanized the genre and the people in it in a way that it never had before, and this was after I'd come to appreciate the art form. But coming out of that theater, and bursting to converse about what I'd just seen, I noticed something. I was the only white person in the theater. And while I normally wouldn't have had much trouble striking up a casual conversation, I paused. I paused to wonder, as I looked at the couples and trios going to their cars, I wondered how much right I had to . . . invade that space, I guess. Got me thinking a lot more about race in the USA. I'm still thinking and learning about it. And I still don't have any really good answers.
I grew up listening to them and was sooooo excited for this movie when it came out and it did not disappoint. I love it so much😭 Also when I was like 13 I found out Eazy died the exact month day and year I was born so I used to tell people I was his reincarnation🤣😅

NWA wasnt able to get back together and write new music, as Blink just did that very thing after Mark almost dying, and is on tour with Tom right now. Its meaningful because Blink is doing what NWA wasnt able to do.
The name of the album is the Chronic.
That Right Hand From The Thunder Gods Quote Had My Dying😂
Yes ice cube actually destroyed that office and it wasn't all that uncommon back then. Those executives would never press charges or her lose their cash cow.
😅
As an advid NWa fan I truly appreciated and enjoyed this movie,I still have my nwa, easyE &D.O.C.,snoop Dogg, they are all still in my Playlist. I had my first vehicle when this Cd was released, needless to say I knew every song by heart. Great reaction Leo keep up the great work. Miracles and blessings to you and yours much luv ✌️ 💜🙏.
Hahahaha I was cracking up when u said jerry u gotta find the next Bon Jovi now !!! 😅
the 92 riots originally started on Normandie and Florence. and i was only 10 minutes away from all the chaos and i did had some bad experience with the cops being dicks to me and my friends just for walking home at night.
We had a Drill Sergeant at Ft. Bliss that was a dead ringer for Easy-E. Led the morning runs in a flak vest and protective mask. Fucking Legend.
#bigwheel
you had the best reaction to this movie I've ever seen and I mean that man your a goat a legit goat on this platform i cant wait to see you with hundreds of millions of subs one day i know its gonna happen
27:27 One of the Best -- if not THE BEST -- diss track ever!
7:38 Just for Leo, that song is called "Gangsta Gangsta" by N.W.A and unlike all the OG's, I first heard this song on GTA V 😂
You cut out the funniest part where NWA is listening to No Vaseline and DJ Yella says "That shit's kinda funny.".
For some reason this became my annual Christmas Eve movie
2:32 Toddy Tee made a song in the 80’s called the battle ram. It’s about the LAPD and the way they used it to do what you saw. #Gots2BMoCareful
One of my favorite movies about artists that I listened to as a young teen!! NWA was the music I listened to behind my moms back, because the only rap/hip hop I was allowed was Fresh Prince and DJ Jazzy Jeff.
Your parents just didn't understand, huh Joseph? Lol Seriously, you were part of a huge demographic that made them so popular.
@@Destyn2b Been a Dre fan since day one.
Dr Dre punches one of the mob members
Mob James to djvlad : Dre would’ve got his ass whooped and he would’ve got his ass whooped bad 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I grew up in a small farming community in rural WA and know more nwa songs then Mr video! 😂
There’s stories that Sug used Pac as a human shield in that shooting and after every thing I’ve seen, I wouldn’t doubt it
Ohh. Leo. You gotta look up the California Raisins. It's hilarious. They could legit sing.
15:00 - Leo, you need to look up the band and commercials for The California Raisins. I Heard It Through the Grapevine is a good song!
Otherwise, this was a good film! Great that you finally saw it! If you want other hip-hop biopics, look at Get Rich or Die Tryin' and Notorious.
for some odd reason OG 2-TONE will always be my fave part of this film (maybe bc almost everything else, aside from the actual music, police abuse of authority, / "War On Drugs" characterization, & grimey backstabbing ass industry execs is either glamorized or outright fabricated by the surviving, EXEC PRODUCING members 🤷🏻♀️)
hell, the bus scene could very well be just as fictional, but STILL memorable.
i always imagine right after he steps off the bus, the end shot cuts back inside to Keenan-Ivory Wayans as he yells "🗣️ MESSAGE" before the scene ends.....🤣 historically accurate or not, OG was spittin bars!
No Valseline is STILL the coldest diss track, and there's been some nasty ones since then. Nail in the Coffin, Takeover, Hit 'em up, Ether. But No Vaseline still takes it fr
Cube brought a chainsaw to a butterknife fight.
300 bars and runnin by The Game is my fave next to No Vaseline and Hit ‘Em Up. I love Biggie btw
And Suge wouldn't have Eazy beaten and live to tell about it.
At 22:25 when you mouthed “Fuck..fuck…fuck da police!” 👀 I lost it hard 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Bro do NOT believe everything in this movie, remember that Dre never really got over that beef with Eazy 😅 made him look like a sissy in this
Also! Eazy’s son wanted to act in this but they wouldn’t let him. Probably cus they knew there was no way he would have agreed to portray his father the way they wrote him in this
5:35 DJ Jazzy Jeff did that scratch recording for the movie.
22:40 a lot of people in Detroit (my home town) say the police are the ones who started shooting. Some say because they were attacked and others say they started shooting just to end the concert
BEST MOVIE SOUNDTRACK EVER!
I think I was 13 when gin and juice came out.
im so happy to see you reacting to this movie i was waiting for the day you would ima comment again after im done watching you react to this movie
When I lived in Cali I lived in a crip neighborhood but was bussed to a blood hood in Pacoima if I remember correctly. Filmore elementary 😊
17:24 this is standard practice for the LAPD. I speak from experience. Used to take us to the marina, handcuff us to the fence, beat us up and then drop us off in the enemy’s neighborhood. Facts
NOW YOU HAVE TO REACT TO “END OF WATCH”
The other side!
Yes Em is best selling artist of all time numbers wise
Ruthless Records was a Record label started by Eazy-E and Jerry Heller
Rest in peace to Eazy E
I loved the casting of this movie. It just proves you can find good actors who look the part as well. Even if some people made their movie counterpart. 😊
As far as you doing research. 🤗
"Bye Felicia" was a definite easter egg moment and Oshea Junior's nod to his dad who said the line in Friday. 😊
5:02 dude a real blood they had on set
Back at mr video let’s go remember watchin dis with my cousin back in a day when it came out
SHOCKING that you haven't seen this knowing you are a music head
GREAT REACTION BROTHA
This movie was spot on. Ice Cube and dr dre made sure they looked good and their reputations was protected haha this movie was good though. Whats sad about it is nothing has changed as far as police brutality over the years. But other than that this was a great film.
Origin of the “Bye Felicia” phrase was crazy 😂
When og 2 tone pulled up on the bus 😂 that shit was hella good.
All them situations really happened. The bat scene of cube" the beef, the fall out, the fights all of it. They was tough and was with all the shits lol but everyone reconciled before Eazy E died. But they truly was like brothers no matter the issues.
No Vaseline and Hit em up are the pinnacle of 90’s rap
Wow I love your Halloween decor at 0:18 it looks good, sure hope you'll do more movie reactions to Halloween themed movies for spooky season my top 3 favorite Halloween movies are Hocus Pocus (1993), The Haunted Mansion (2003) and Casper (1995) 😁🙏🏻💕🎃🎥
The white guy Dre and Suge talked to was the real Jimmy Ivoine
I love hearing cube tell the story about trashing the office. I also love his son talking about asking his dad if the hotel scene was true. Lol
hey mr video , this is a masterpiece ok, tnks from brazil
GREAT MOVIE!!! RIP Eazy E
You are now about to witness the strength of street knowledge
I had an . . . interesting experience watching this in theaters.
I love it so much😭
Also when I was like 13 I found out Eazy died the exact month day and year I was born so I used to tell people I was his reincarnation🤣😅
4:38 - I love Ice Chip. He's a terrific actor. Have you seen Cocaine Bear?
This movie right here!!! One of my favorites of the 2010s decade. Watched it with my brothers. I need to re-watch it. O'Shea Jr did his thing he killed his role!
Mr Video Rocks Hard !
16:19 “The Cheeseburger 😮”
Rip Easy E ❤️
Man... I remember sneaking peeks into rap magazines to keep up with these guys as a little girl 😅 I wasn't "allowed" to listen to them so of course I had every album! 😂 They were CRAZY!
I remember the day it was announced that Eazy died. 😢
“Put it in the comments what gang you runnin?” BRUHH💀💀
