Yo this is the first time I’m watching it back and seeing all these intricate details, all the symbolism in the actions/words for what’s to come in the movie.. it’s crazy. I think this is Top tier now
In the movie it shows he was blackballed from music deal In real life when he came back 100% from getting shot 9x, Irv gotti from murda inc really did have him blackballed him til Eminem heard about 50 and signed him. Shady records and Aftermath
There's several documentaries out about the real 50 Cent Kelvin Martin. He was a real gangster/ stick up kid from Fort Greene Brooklyn. He was feared in the streets for his reputation for being willing to rob anyone at any moment, regardless of how much they did or didn't have. 50 (Curtis Jackson) took on his persona, they even produced a documentary on the real 50 Cent after making this movie. 50 sought permission from Martin's family and they gave their blessings with the agreement 50 would buy a headstone for the real 50's unmarked grave.
@choomah one of the legends is he actually walked into a dice game with 50 cents in his pocket, but walked out with $500 after robbing everybody. He always carried a Colt 45 and a 357. The real 50 refused to sell crack, he rather rob drug dealers and some hip hop artist. He even once robbed LL Cool J

50 cent was a real Gangster no cap, he was on the street corner at 12 And he the last gangster rapper. He was shot 9 times in 1 go. 50 went against the baddest gang in Queen Brooklyn he didn’t give a fuck.
To learn about why 50 was shot listen to Ghetto Quran. In the movie he was shot over Officer Down in real life they say Ghetto Quran was the song that got him hit. 50 had beef with the Supreme Team and his beef with Murder Inc and Ja Rule stemmed from that beef which is why it was so heated. Another thing is the man who shot 50 was Mike Tyson’s homie.
I think Ja Rule was probably the main dude who had the problem with Ghetto Quran, it had nothing to do with him but Ja hated 50 for what he did to him in the past I kinda doubt Preme or anyone else from the Supreme team had much of a problem with it because it was basically all about the stuff that happened back in the 80s, those who were around the drug scene already knew for many years and to some random dudes listening to 50 cents music it was pointless I bet it was Ja that had Preme organize the hit, Hommo wasn't just Mikes bodyguard but he was connected to the supreme team so it had to be them who got 50 shot he didn't decide that out of the blue sky. It's crazy that after all the stuff 50 went through he's still alive, stabbings, beatings and being shot 9 times and he's still here.
Majestic was based on Kenneth "Supreme" McGriff, and I don't think that people get that Dangerous was based on Ja Rule. With the exception of a few Names and certain details being altered, this is pretty much 50's life before the Fame and Fortune.
I think they should've shown the beef between 50 and Ja in the movie, cuz in the movie it just looks like he's some background character while in reality that was where majority of the beef happened, it was between these two and none of it was shown, they could've shown how was 50 stabbed after he stole Ja's chain and recorded Lifes on the line with it being shown in the video.
This movie is a semi-autobiographical film. Which means many of the events are based on facts, but overall it’s factionalized and often sensationalized for the purpose of entertainment. 50 Cent whose real name is Curtis Jackson even had the name Marcus in the movie. There are many examples of celebrities telling these fictionalized accounts of their lives: Eminem (8 Mile), Mariah (Glitter), Richard Pryor (Jo Jo Dancer). Most of these movies didn’t do well critically or financially. These movies are just made to inform the public in an artistically convenient way. I actually saw this in the theaters and none of the homies wanted to see this with me. I was stationed in Guam, and figured I would go see this the night before I had to get back on shift. Man, that theater was empty.😢😅
Dangerous is supposed to be Ja Rule And Majestic is supposed to be Kenneth Supreme McGriff, the man who took Fif under his wing Supreme Team wanted Fif dead Supreme also worked with Ja Rule, Fif started beefing Ja Rule and Supreme didn’t like that.
50 said 75 percent of the movie was real because allegedly in that song where 50 cent is talking about the cop getting killed situation , in the streets that’s technically snitching so
In the movie they make it seem like the shooting of the officer and the shooting of 50 Cent happened like a week apart but in reality the cop shooting happened in 1988 and 50 talked about it in the song in the early 2000's, it wasn't nothing new to anyone who knew what he was talking about and the rest were just listening to the song having no idea what he's talking about lol

50cent was shot 9 times including one bullet that went through his jaw and a bullet fragment is still stuck in there that’s why he raps like that because he can’t open his mouth all the way that’s what the opening scene was it was a re creation of what happened to him most of this movie is his actual life story the 75% truth came from the small things like changing ja rules name to danger or the supreme team the way the movie ended was the only thing that was off because the actual person that put the hit out on him ended up in prison
Parts that are true are
- 50 never knew his pops
- his moms got killed when he was 8
- started selling drugs at young age
- went in & out of jail at early age
- started rapping after son was born
- stopped selling drugs & focused on rap
- got into beef with the biggest drug lord from his hood
- got shot 9 times (but he was inside a car)
- 1 bullet hit his face/mouth so it changed his voice
- recovered from the shooting at the Poconose
- no DJ or Producer would work with him cause of his beef (he got blackballed)
… he started releasing mixtapes which took over NYC like nothing had done in history…
which eventually fell into the hands of EMINEM & DR DRE
