Oh man. The nostalgia seeing some of those names. When I was a kid, I used to want to be a fast bowler and some of my favourites were Aussie and Pakistani bowlers. Brett Lee, Glenn McGrath, Wasim Akram, Shoaib Akhtar, and guys like Zaheer Khan as well.
Fastest Delivery ever bowled was by Shoaib akhtar ,161.3 kmph. There are majorly 4 types of bowlers. 1. Fast ( bowler who bowls above 142+) 2. Fast-medium ( 130-143) 3.Medium-Fast(120-130) 4. Medium (100-120)
Fast bowlers can go from "slower ball" say 100-120km/hr to "pace ball" say 135-150km/hr. However, Some bowlers have bowled over 155-160km/hr. Spin bowlers pitch can range from 85-115km/hr.
Pace bowling (fast) speed is around 97 to 100 MPH. Medium fast (there are 2 speed variation types but broadly) is between 80 to 96 MPH. Swing bowling speed is around 85 MPH. Spin Bowling speed is around 45 to 55 MPH.
Spinners bowl it at an average speed of 80-90 kms per hour. Medium pacers bowl at 120-135 kms/hr and fast bowlers bowl it at 135-150 kms/hr. Having said that bowlers like Shoaib Akhtar, Brett Lee (the last bowler you saw in this video), Shaun Tait can even bowl it upto 160 kms/hr i.e. 100 miles/hr.
Ok here it goes... There are mainly two types of bowlers in cricket 1. Seamers 2. Spinners Seamers - These are the bowlers with long run-ups. And usually bowl in the range of 135-150 kmph. With some bowlers touching even 160s. Seamers can also have different skills but mainly there are two major variation a fast bowler can bowl. 1. Swing in the air- where the bowls moves in a particular direction in the air. 2. Move of the pitch - where a ball changes direction after hitting the ground. Spinners - These bowlers bowl with a shorter run up and are usually slower. The speeds are generally around 90 kmph. Spinners can be of different types based on the direction they turn the ball after it hits the ground. 1. Off-spiners - They are right handed bowlers turning ball inwards for a right handed batsman. They generally turn the bowl using their fingers. 2. Leg Spinner - They are the right handed bowlers turning ball away from a right handed batsman. They usually turn the ball using their wrists. This is the one you guys were talking about. The bowler is Shane Warne probably the greatest leg Spinner ever. 3. Left arm Orthodox - Left handed bowlers turning ball away from the right handed batsman using his fingers. 4. Chinaman Bowler. - Left handed wrist spinner turning ball inwards for a right handed batsman.
7:35 it seems like Rick observed a Swinging delivery for the first time. That gentleman bowling is Wasim Akram, former captain of Pakistan cricket team and a lead bowler. Along with his team mate and another brilliant bowler Waqar Younis, both were known as SULTANS OF SWING. And for as long as they played cricket, these guys were lethal and dominated the cricket field for a long time. Being from India I am proud of the long list of bowlers that we have had the pleasure to see representing our country like Jawagal Srinath, Venkatesh Prasad, Zaheer Khan, Irrfan Pathan, Bhuwanesh Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah. These guys are legends.
Fast bowlers bowl in excess of 90 mph. Fast medium bowlers bowl between 81 to 89 mph Medium fast bowlers bowl between 75 to 80 mph Spinners bowl a lot slower - under 60 mph The fastest bowler has bowled a ball clocked at 100 mph
These are bowls by leg spiners 80-85 mph Leg break Googly Topspinner Flicker ball Slider Flipper OFF SPINER 80 -85 mph Off break Topspinner Carrom ball Arm ball Fast bowling deliveries: Bouncer Inswinger Reverse swing90-95 mph Leg cutter Off cutter Outswinger Yorker 90-98 mph Beamer Knuckleball Slower ball85 - 90 mph
Rick and korbin, here is the info you requested 1) Broadly there are 2 types of bowling- Pace bowling where bowlers bowl at really high speeds and spin bowling which is much slower 2) Pace bowling includes swings ( the ball curves mid air either towards or away from the batsman) Spin bowling includes spins ( the ball bounces towards or away from batsman) 3) The fastest pace bowlers like Mitchell Starc , Shoaib Akhtar etc have bowled at 160-170 km/h ( Around 100 miles/hr)
Pacers the fast bowlers who are seamers, swingers throw between 130 kmph to 155 kmph on average. And the spinners the slow bowlers, relative to the Pacers, throw between 75kmph to 120 kmph on average.
For the spin bowlers the speed of ball is somewhere around 60-90 kmph(37-56mph) For fast bowlers or pacers the speed is between 120-150 kmph(74-93mph) Fastest ball is bowled by Pakistani player shoiab akhtar 161.3 kmph(100.2mph) 👍
Training yes but there’s a lot of physics involved here. The weather, if it’s windy or not, the ground, is it cracked, dry, wet, dewy, grassy? One needs to know exactly what to ball keeping the conditions in mind
There are mainly three type of bowlers if categorised based on the speed of releasing the ball. 1. Spinners -> 75kmph - 95kmph(46mph - 60mph) 2. Medium pacers -> 120kmph -135kmph (75mph - 85mph) 3. Fast bowlers -> 135kmph -155kmph (85mph to 97mph) There were instances where bowlers bowled at more than 155kmph and upto 100mph, but they can't usually do it consistantly..
The left Arm fast bowler was Wasim Akram also known as the “Sultan of Swing”... who was fast and extremely talented with the ball. He could make the ball swing(curve in American lingo) both ways(going in and going out) as well as reverse swing the ball(starts to curve one way and then changes direction) at will and was the nemesis of all batsmen across the world. Thankfully he has retired... his skills are still legendary.
The way of delivering of the ball is very scientific. There are many types of balls like Outswinger, inswinger, Yorker, off cutter incutter, swinging Yorker and so on. These were of fast ballers. For spinners, there are many variations like top spin, off spin, leg spin, spin with drift and turn, doosra and so on.
The great shoaib akhtar bowled the fasted delivery clocking 100 Mph/ 161.3 kph. On average cricket fast bowler bowls around 145 KMPH or 90 Mph. There are numerous types of deliveries . One that turns square was due to footmarks created by bowlers with theirs spikes.
Threre are mainly 3 types of movements after bowling a cricket ball: 1. Swing - movement in the air 2. Seam - movement after the ball has pitched on the ground 3. Spin - movement because of types of spins on the ball
There are two aspects to bowling 1. Fast bowling 2. Spin bowling The fast bowlers are the ones which have a longer run-up and the wicket keeper also tends to stand further back. The spin bowlers are the ones with relatively small run-ups and the keeper also tends to stand right behind the wickets. The fast bowlers are capable of bowling anywhere from 80-95 mph and the fastest delivery ever bowled was 100mph if memory serves me right. The spin bowlers tends to ball slower with a pace in the range of 45-55 mph. Also when the spin bowlers move the ball of the ground (called Pitch in cricket) it's called spinning the ball. When fast bowlers move the ball of the pitch it's call swinging the ball. Hope this was helpful all the very best. Love you guys Cheers.
So basically there are 3 ways to move a cricket ball, 2 of them being of the pitch : 1. 'Seam' for the fast bowlers and 2. 'Spin' for the spinners, and the 3rd one in the air which is called 'Swing'.
The balls that turn are called spinners There are two types 1.leg spin 2. Off spin . The ball moving toward the inside is a leg spin and moving outside is a off spin . Each team had a lineup of spinners and fast bowlers.
There are 3 kinds of movements - spin, swing and seam. Spin because ball is given a spin on release usually bowled slower. Swing because one half of the ball is shiny other rough, so it experience differential aerodynamics mid-air and becomes a curveball. Seam because cricket ball is two halves sown together and is the ball lands on the joint, it bounces of in or the other direction. Fast(90mph) swinging seamers are the deadliest unless you are Shane Warne and can spin half the pitch.
There are 3 types of bowlers on the basis of speed only 1) Spinner - can have speed between 90-115 Km/h 2) Middium Fast bowler - can have speed between 120-135 Km/h 3) Fast bowler bowler - cane have speed between 140- 160km/h The fastest ball ever bowled in the history of cricket was by Shoaib Akhtar from Pakistan at 161.3 km/h on 22nd February 2003
Just adding a few things about bowling in cricket: Primarily 2 types of bowlers: Fast Bowlers and Spinners. Fast bowlers are further sub divided into Fast ( who consistently bowl over 140 kmph. Eg Shaun Tait can pitch around 160 kmph. Brett Lee, MitchellJohnson, Shoiab Akhtar all around 150+ kmph. Akhtar has the fastest ball on record 161kmph) , Fast Medium ( 130- 140 kmph range)and Medium Fast( 120- mid 130s). Additionally all these bowlers will vary their speeds. Meaning they will bowl slower balls. Eg Akhtar can bowl 125 kmph delivery on purpose to kepp the batsman guessing. All these bowlers also try to 'swing the ball - ie move the ball in the air , and 'seam movement ' - ie deviation off the surface, which depends on how the ball hits the ground ( on the stiching- called the seam, and also depends on the moisture in the surface. More moisture, more movement). So a fast blower will combine all 3 types. So bowl a delivery which would move in the air ( swing) and also move after hitting the ground ( seam). And this at sometimes 160 kmph and sometimes 120. Sometimes try to just keep the ball straight ( ie no movement) . Mostly bowlers have very good control and they know which way the ball will move in the air. The off ground movement is also known and controlled by the bowler to a very large extent. But sometimes the pitch has too much grass or moisture in which case even the bowlers dont know how much the ball will deviate after hitting the pitch. So then they just concentrate on putting the ball in ares which are difficult to play for a batsman and let the pitch play its tricks.
Spin bowlers bowl between 55 to 65 mph, medium pace bowlers between 70 to 80 mph, fast medium bowlers between 80 to 85 mph, fast bowlers between 85 to 90 mph. Whereas, there have been very few bowlers (say around 10 or so in cricket history) who frequently bowled 90 to 100 mph. Shoaib Akhtar of Pakistan has bowled the fastest ball on record at 161.3 kmph (100 mph), then Brett Lee of Australia at 160.9 and Shaun Tait of Australia at 160.8.
We know bernoulli's principle in Physics. When a fluid moves faster then pressure decreases. Here one hemisphere of the Cricket ball is constantly rubbed by the bowlers to make that side rough. Now when the Bowler spins the ball, the rotation creates uneven air flow along the two hemispheres, the rough side drags air more along its surface while the smoother side drags less air, thus creating a pressure difference between the two sides, which in turn shifts the ball towards the low pressure side. Everything else comes with practice.
The fastest ball ever bowled in cricket is somewhere around 160 km/h... Average speeds of fast or medium fast bowlers range from 120 km/h to 150 km/h. For spinners it could be from 80 km/h to 100 km/h. There are other elements as swing in the ball, seam position for fast bowlers, flight of the ball for spinners..and then there's the type of delivery and the grip of the bowler... everything contributes to a particular delivery
most fast bowlers have speeds between 85-95 mph with very few being able to go higher. spinners sacrifice pace for more spin. they usually bowl between 50-60 mph and very few might occasionally go above that but they usually don't since they don't need to.
In cricket we have three different speeds like Pace, Swingers and Cutters, while Medium Pacers too have the same type, while spinners are of right hand left hand bowlers who bowl with finger that are of off spin and leg spin type and wrist spinners who are leg break and off brake bowlers AND THEN THEY HAVE VARIATIONS TO THEM AND GO BY SO MANY NAMES. Its crazy to tell you on you tube, thanks.
Fast - Naturally refers to bowlers who can bowl the quickest. The cut-off point is generally an average delivery speed is above 90 miles an hour, but many quicks exceed that on a consistent basis. Fast medium - Sometimes used interchangeably with medium fast, this refers to bowlers between 89 to 80 miles per hour on average. Medium fast - Slower still, this is for bowlers who check in at between 79 and 69 miles per hour on average. Medium - Blurring the distinction between spinners and quicks by relying on their guile to take wickets, medium pacers are often part-time bowlers or batting all-rounders coming in at around 69 miles per hour on average.
7:29 that is Wasim Akram aka Sultan of Swing one of the greatest bowler in the world, he helped groom Irfan Pathan as well. Fastest Bowl ever delivered is 161.3 km/hr (100.22mph) by Shoaib Akhter from Pakistan. Average Fast Bowler bowls at 140km/hr.

Max speed for a cricket delivery is around 161 km/hr. But the visuals you saw contain spinners and pace bowlers. Spinners generally bowls at 80-100 km/hr, but they can produce much more deviation of the pitch.
In cricket some baller swing ball in air, some swing after pitching in swing or out swing and some combine both swing in air as well after pitching. Spin baller have capacity to move ball leg cutter or off cutter ,slow down or stop ball in air after pitching.
Fast pacer 130-150+ Medium pacer 115-130+ Spinners 70-105+ All in km/hr also their are knuckle , slower ,cutters etc various varieties in fast bowling and same in spin bowling like googly , doosra , carrom etc

Fastest ball ever bowled was 161.3 km/hr(100.22 mph). A bowler considered as fast bowler if he bowls 140+km/hr(85+miles/hr) Medium fast bowler are who bowl 100 to 135 km/hr. Spinners bowl between 70 to 100 km/hr.
Any Indian cricket fan worth their salt can give you a 5 part beginner course on the thousands of variants of bowls. Anyway as far as the speeds go: 1. The spinners (the balls seem like they are turning 90 degrees ) bowl at about 50-70mph. 2. The swing bowlers (the ones that move in the air due to Magnus effect) are 70-90mph 3. Seam bowlers(the ones that hit the deck with the seam and get movement off the deck) can also be about 80-95 or even higher. Fastest recorders ball was bowled by Shoiab Akhtar at 100.2mph although it is also said West Indian (carribean) greats in 70s used to ball above 100mph maybe even 105 or 106 mph too
The ball which moves in air or makes curve in the air is called reverse swing. It is the hardest ball to play. Well, to do that one rubs and makes one side of the cricket ball is surface rough and the other side remains same white shining and ball moves in the air in the white shining side.
@ourstupidreactions The fast bowlers usually bowl around 85-90 miles per hour. However the fastest ball in the history of cricket is by the Pakistani legendary speedster Shoaib Akhtar who clocked the speed of 100.22 miles per hour / 161.3 km/hr. 😬 Only five bowlers have yet touched the speed of 100 m/hr. Spinners who turn the ball bowl around 48-55 m/hr. 😃

Spin ball - around 80-100 kmph
medium pace - 100-130 kmps
full pace - 130-150 kmps (sometimes more than 150)
Fast bowlers can go from "slower ball" say 100-120km/hr to "pace ball" say 135-150km/hr.
There are mainly two types of bowlers in cricket
1. Seamers
2. Spinners
Seamers - These are the bowlers with long run-ups.
Also the fastest cricket bowling is around 100 mph, with bowlers like Shoaib Akhtar, Shaun Tait and Brett Lee having achieved that feat.
The ten fastest bowlers in cricket history:
Shoaib Akhtar (Pakistan)- 161.3 kph (100.2 mph)
Shaun Tait (Australia)- 161.1 kph (100.1 mph)
Brett Lee (Australia)- 160.8 kph (99.9 mph)
Jeff Thomson (Australia) - 160.6 kph (99.8 mph)
Mitchell Starc (Australia) - 160.4 kph (99.7 mph)
7:36 That's Wasim Akram's reverse swing Rick. THE BEST 😀
Fast medium bowlers bowl between 81 to 89 mph
Medium fast bowlers bowl between 75 to 80 mph
Spinners bowl a lot slower - under 60 mph

Rick and korbin, here is the info you requested
1) Broadly there are 2 types of bowling- Pace bowling where bowlers bowl at really high speeds and spin bowling which is much slower
2) Pace bowling includes swings ( the ball curves mid air either towards or away from the batsman)
Spin bowling includes spins ( the ball bounces towards or away from batsman)
3) The fastest pace bowlers like Mitchell Starc , Shoaib Akhtar etc have bowled at 160-170 km/h ( Around 100 miles/hr)
Pacers the fast bowlers who are seamers, swingers throw between 130 kmph to 155 kmph on average. And the spinners the slow bowlers, relative to the Pacers, throw between 75kmph to 120 kmph on average.
For the spin bowlers the speed of ball is somewhere around 60-90 kmph(37-56mph)
For fast bowlers or pacers the speed is between 120-150 kmph(74-93mph)
Fastest ball is bowled by Pakistani player shoiab akhtar 161.3 kmph(100.2mph)
👍
Hey guy that wow wow anxious moment @07:30 is the King of Swing the one and one Wasim Akram India loves him.
Batsmans watch the grip of finger of bowler before delivering a ball toward them....
1. Spinners -> 75kmph - 95kmph(46mph - 60mph)
2. Medium pacers -> 120kmph -135kmph (75mph - 85mph)
3. Fast bowlers -> 135kmph -155kmph (85mph to 97mph)
There were instances where bowlers bowled at more than 155kmph and upto 100mph, but they can't usually do it consistantly..
The movement of the ball in the air is called swing and movement off the pitch is called seam movement for a fast bowler and spin/turn for a spinner.
Threre are mainly 3 types of movements after bowling a cricket ball:
1. Swing - movement in the air
2. Seam - movement after the ball has pitched on the ground
3. Spin - movement because of types of spins on the ball
It's been a long time since u have not reacted to cheesy song of akshay kumarrrr...😂🤣😆
A good fast bowler bowls at an avg speed of 140-145 Kmph. The fastest recorded ball is 161.3 Kmph (100.2 mph)
There are two aspects to bowling
1. Fast bowling
2. Spin bowling
The fast bowlers are the ones which have a longer run-up and the wicket keeper also tends to stand further back.
The balls that turn are called spinners
There are two types 1.leg spin 2.
There are 3 types of bowlers on the basis of speed only
1) Spinner - can have speed between 90-115 Km/h
2) Middium Fast bowler - can have speed between 120-135 Km/h
3) Fast bowler bowler - cane have speed between 140- 160km/h
The fastest ball ever bowled in the history of cricket was by Shoaib Akhtar from Pakistan at 161.3 km/h on 22nd February 2003
Just adding a few things about bowling in cricket:
Primarily 2 types of bowlers: Fast Bowlers and Spinners.
Fast bowlers are further sub divided into Fast ( who consistently bowl over 140 kmph. Eg Shaun Tait can pitch around 160 kmph. Brett Lee, MitchellJohnson, Shoiab Akhtar all around 150+ kmph. Akhtar has the fastest ball on record 161kmph)
, Fast Medium ( 130- 140 kmph range)and
Medium Fast( 120- mid 130s).
Fastest Ball in Cricket - 100.2 MPH/161.3 KmPH
Bowling Speed:
Fast bowler: average 90mph, fastest 100.2mph (Shoaib Akhtar)
Spin bowler: average 55mph , slowest 40mph
Rick that's called reverse swing by Wasim Akram (Legendary Pakistani bowler ).
They all curve in the air too guys. Fast bowlers spin in air and then on ground. !!🤣. Also called SEAM
The ball moving in the air which we call the swing is a perfect example of magnus effect we read in physics
For fast bowlers... average speed may be 130-140 kmph
Some bowlers bowl greater that 160kmph also(100mph)
most fast bowlers have speeds between 85-95 mph with very few being able to go higher. spinners sacrifice pace for more spin. they usually bowl between 50-60 mph and very few might occasionally go above that but they usually don't since they don't need to.
Being i am playing cricket since my childhood now i am 26 i cant see ball coming to me at the speed of 130 km/hr ! These guys are just gifted
Started watching your videos recently and now addicted to your channel ! ❤ New subscriber 😇 Rick looks more like the Oscar winning main actor in that movie - Joker
1. Shoaib Akhtar, Pakistan - 161.3km/h (100.2mph)
2. Shaun Tait, Australia - 161.1km/h (100.1mph)
3. Brett Lee, Australia - 161.1km/h (100.1mph)
4. Mitchell Starc, Australia - 160.4km/h (99.7mph)
5. Andy Roberts, West Indies - 159.5km/h (99.1mph)
6. Fidel Edwards, West Indies - 157.7km/h (98mph)
7. Mitchell Johnson, Australia - 156.8km/h (97.4mph)
the avg speed of a fast bowler varies from 145kmph to 150kmph
Max speed for a cricket delivery is around 161 km/hr. But the visuals you saw contain spinners and pace bowlers. Spinners generally bowls at 80-100 km/hr, but they can produce much more deviation of the pitch.
In cricket some baller swing ball in air, some swing after pitching in swing or out swing and some combine both swing in air as well after pitching. Spin baller have capacity to move ball leg cutter or off cutter ,slow down or stop ball in air after pitching.
On number 2.. Wasim Akram.. The legend.. Known as king of swing..
Fast pacer 130-150+
Medium pacer 115-130+
Spinners 70-105+
All in km/hr also their are knuckle , slower ,cutters etc various varieties in fast bowling and same in spin bowling like googly , doosra , carrom etc
Whenever I see batsman struggling against Yorker respect for Ms dhoni in my heart increaseses. Helicopter shot op🔥🔥🔥
Many Indian batsman play that in IPL nowadays..but yes..he is the best in that...
Murlitharan and Shane Warne were the magical spin bowlers. Still nobody can beat them in terms of bowl movement after pitching.
The LENGTH of the ball is important
1 SHORT BALL
2 GOOD LENGTH
3 FULL LENGTH
4 YORKER
5 FULL TOSS BALL
....
The pace bowlers can swing the deliveries...
SPIN BOWLERS
1 WRIST SPINNERS
2 FINGER SPINNERS
They can spin the ball.
There are lot of types of deliveries you can bowl...
1 leg spin
2 off spin
3 wrong-urn or googly
4 slider
5 flipper
6 top spin
7 carrow ball
Etc....
Yes Korbin, the wickets break quite a few times. Also depends on speed of the bowl and impact on the stumps.
And the pacers bowl at a speed of 90-95 mph.
7:30 thats wasim akram, one of the best swingers to ever exist! u guys have to check his highlights out.
Everything was OK till the end, but where's the mahn.,...??
Mr. MALINGAAAAAA......., ???
He is also one of the fastest and hardest bowler to play, and his brilliance in bowling...., 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Love from India 🇮🇳
There are mainly 3 type of bowlers
1.fast bowlers- 140-150 kph
2.medium fast- 120-140 kph
3.spinners - 80-100 kph
Ryan Harris to Cook is the most unplayable delivery of all time.
Fastest ball ever bowled was 161.3 km/hr(100.22 mph).
A bowler considered as fast bowler if he bowls 140+km/hr(85+miles/hr)
Medium fast bowler are who bowl 100 to 135 km/hr.
Spinners bowl between 70 to 100 km/hr.
Fasted balls bowled in cricket.. Shoaib Akhtar (Pakistan)- 161.3 kph (100.2 mph)
Shaun Tait (Australia)- 161.1 kph (100.1 mph) ...
Brett Lee (Australia)- 160.8 kph (99.9 mph) ...
average bowler bowls between 130-140 km/hr, and fast bowler bowls 145+ km/hr, and fastest bowl ever bowled was 172 km/hr by Shoabh Akhtar
Rick,
40-60 mph = slow bowler
60-80 mph = medium pace bowler
80-100+ mph = fast pace bowler
Any Indian cricket fan worth their salt can give you a 5 part beginner course on the thousands of variants of bowls. Anyway as far as the speeds go:
1. The spinners (the balls seem like they are turning 90 degrees ) bowl at about 50-70mph.
2. The swing bowlers (the ones that move in the air due to Magnus effect) are 70-90mph
3. Seam bowlers(the ones that hit the deck with the seam and get movement off the deck) can also be about 80-95 or even higher.
Fastest recorders ball was bowled by Shoiab Akhtar at 100.2mph
although it is also said West Indian (carribean) greats in 70s used to ball above 100mph maybe even 105 or 106 mph too
The ball which moves in air or makes curve in the air is called reverse swing.
Only five bowlers have yet touched the speed of 100 m/hr.
Spinners who turn the ball bowl around 48-55 m/hr. 😃
the spin on the ball is due to fingers and/or wrists and the swing on the ball is due to the difference in weight of the two halves of the ball
*That was Banana swing by Swing King Wasim Akram🤟🏻*
Seamers, nowadays, bowl with an average speed of 140kmph. Spinners bowl with an average speed of 80-90kmph.
legends in a single video is crazy.... feeling nostalgic
Ball speed .. Avg 130-140 kmph
Or over a hundred miles an hour
I see Rick going, "woah woah".
I take a second look. Of course it is Wasim Akram!
Spinners bowl at 70-100kmph and medium fast bowler bowl at 110-35kmph and fast bowlers bowl at 135-160kmph.
