Poor squirrel is trying to cool his acorns!!!
Lolol👍🏻😂
PMSL, that was a classic ❤
That squirrel looked like he'd had a couple too many of Steve wallis step twos lol
Lol. Sure did👍🏻
Poor squirrel! The Milky Way was beautiful! Dinner looked good to! Can’t wait for that 3 day trip.
👍🏻👍🏻
HeHe, "If I don't lift the back of my truck up, I will loose all the blood in my head"! Classic. I love your humor, and your ability to withstand the surface of the sun temps!! Salute.
Lol, thanks Ken👍🏻
Thanks for braving the heat and taking us with you. As always , enjoyed the video. Keep them coming.
Thanks Thomas👍🏻
Very nice time lapse. Feel bad for the hot squirrel, poor little guy.
👍🏻👍🏻
Enjoyed the video; thx for taking us along.
Thanks for watching👍🏻
Hey Brian... Man, that squirrel was LAID OUT...lol. Right when I saw that I thought to myself "that's probably what the dude in the tent looked like too!". At least the squirrel had that water leak (I'm assuming a pipe cracked underground right there) to cool off in. It was so dry there (and most places you've been going). You know when you're eating chips and that crunching sound that you hear inside your head? That's what it sounds like when you're walking around....lol. Last observation: It makes me feel so proud when I see you using your BWO water bottle! It almost puts a smile on my face every time, even if I spot it in the background somewhere. I'm so glad you're getting use out of it and it's helping you stay hydrated and keeping the videos coming. Thank you for what you do Sir......>>Dean
Thank you Dean👍🏻👍🏻
Heyy Brian the scenery is beautiful, the lake looks inviting, the poor squirrel the aerial view was amazing, dinner looks delicious ,thanks for sharing stay safe
Thank you Sonia👍🏻
well, when I first saw 116 degrees, I was thinking..turn back--head home--too hot😂 but after seeing the drone footage of the camp and the lake, I think it was actually stunning. And the predawn night sky light show was fantastic. And then , your video told me what to make for dinner--BBQ Hawaiian chicken. Who knew that I would get such variety from a video that started out saying it's 116. Great job Brian! and that was a healthy dessert too--😃 thanks for sharing!
Thank you Martha👍🏻
121 or 122 degrees 1998 1999 Sacramento California I’ve never ever experienced anything hotter then that though Las Vegas gets up there too… cheers dogg grrrrest videos always brother 🍻🍻🍻🔥💙🍻🎣😎💪
👍🏻👍🏻
Man, sometimes I miss texas. Thanks for showing the skyline.
👍🏻👍🏻
Beautiful morning at the end.
Thanks👍🏻
Hi maybe when you rolled up the squirrel thought another nut. All the best. 👍🐝🌞
Lol👍🏻👍🏻
Great video as always. Really liked the drone footage. When I saw the lake I figured you were going to drop a line and get a strike, maybe next time if you choose to return. Thanks for the video. Keep cool.stay safe.
Thanks. Too dang hot for me to fish right now though 👍🏻
Oh yeah I've been that guy in the tent in that kind of heat once. We were on a 3 day trip down in Fort Parker State Park. I'll never do that again. Glad to see you made it out to Lake Whitney.
👍🏻👍🏻
The foil packet idea is a winner. Going to make them up at home... makes easy camping. Think South Padre Island... Just got my Frigidaire 5000 BTU delivered. cutting the plywood in the morning. Waters are clearing up...
Good luck on the build👍🏻 hope it works out for ya
I never really thought of the animals when this heat hits. Felt sorry for the squirrel. Lol.
👍🏻👍🏻
The heat is supposed to start here in the Midwest tomorrow and continue into next week. I’ll be doing some cooking on the deck and camping in the driveway.
Since the site has electric have you considered bringing a portable shop floor fan to generate an outdoor breeze.
I’ve thought about it, but then I end up not taking one just to reduce the amount of stuff I bring with me. Prob a good idea though.
Took my truck out this weekend. Was 101° outside but a cool 72° inside the camper shell with 5k unit. But dadgum, 116°! Wow
👍🏻👍🏻
Gday Brian. The Fort Worth area was one of my favourite places to visit in the US. Loved the Stockyards.
👍🏻👍🏻
Mesquite, cedar and caliche out there.....and cold beer!!!!
👍🏻
always good ...dig the cooking hacks...always 1st on my list to watch
Thanks!
Peaches and cottage cheese is one of my favs as well!
👍🏻👍🏻
I am a big fan of Lake Whitney.
👍🏻👍🏻
Last time I was down that way, we were headed down to Waco for a Mizzou -Baylor game. That is "different" country to say the least !
👍🏻👍🏻
Wow! I’ve been there years ago..
👍🏻👍🏻
I don't know how you do it man. We turned the corner on our last 90 degree day and I'm so happy for that. Can't see it being 100 at 8pm. That's crazy. Great lake, great camping though. Enjoy!
Thanks Will👍🏻
When the water is that low, these rocks probably hold some good fishing lures that have gotten snagged.
👍🏻👍🏻
Oh yes, I speak from experience on that one.
Thanks again for roasting your ass off to entertain us. LOL My BFF lives in Ft. Mojave, AZ, which is literally hell. I visited her when it was 117 and it got to 123 the week after I left. I have no idea how people can stand to live there in the summer.
😂👍🏻👍🏻
Oh man that dinner looks good, gonna have to try that. Remember the Hawaiian ribeye at Houstons, marinate steak in pineapple and teriyaki good stuff.#BrianWatersOutdoors
👍🏻
You could probably fry some eggs in that heat! Glad you survived
👍🏻👍🏻
Brian you need to get an induction cooktop to cook in the back of your truck in the summer. It’s too darn hot to cook outside! 😂
I do need one!
Great video Brian, I use my air bags all the time to help make my slide out kitchen level. Yeah, I have been doing all my camping videos above 7000 feet where its only low 80's instead of 106 or more.♨
👍🏻👍🏻
I used to fish Lake Whitney a lot!! Beautiful lake!!
Family friends had a cabin there. We'd spend many weekends out of the year there. Tubing. Boating. Fishing. Etc.
I'm assuming you're from the Denton area. I was born & raised in Decatur, TX. I'm UNT Alumni. Now I live in The Woodlands, TX. Still lots of family & friends in DFW though.
I stumbled across your channel a few months ago, and REALLY ENJOY it. I've watched Crazy Quady for probably 5yrs.... And your style of videos are very similar.
Keep up the great work! Stay Cool!!
Be blessed!!
-Nicholas Ervin
The Woodlands, TX
Thanks bud. I’m from the Ft Worth area, born and raised here👍🏻
Brian I feel your pain in Louisiana it’s so hot it feels like your skin in about to melt off your bones, everybody’s grass is died we haven’t had rain in for ever the ground is very dry.
Maybe we will get some relief in a few months
Always beautiful views...here in Phx Az was 119/120° few weeks ago...hot
👍🏻👍🏻
From South Africa DANG .. DANG .. When I set up my Landy (Discovery) for camping I actually HAD a set of airbags from my Defender... chucked them out..... never thought to use them to level on a sloping site ...
DANG
👍🏻👍🏻
A couple things that A/C should be pumping cold air out its a small space so it should cool it down much faster than its been doing also don't forget in October you are going to be ringside for the eclipse
It cools it down great, but nothing in the back of that truck is insulated so it does take a while
I tell ya I'd still be out fishing or riding a bike or scooter even though its that hot there haha The places you show us are absolutely beautiful. Have a great weekend.
Thanks Joe👍🏻
There are so many lakes N, E and S of Dallas, lots of places to explore…
👍🏻👍🏻
For me, what i do when it is 116 degrees, is I stay home in the air conditioning LOL.
😂👍🏻
That foil packet dinner looked delicious. I’m sure it smelled amazing too. That squirrel is my spirit animal. LOL
Lol. That squirrel was chillin his acorns
Another great video Brian
Thank you
You are so lucky to have all these beautiful lakes to explore
👍🏻
Another great video love the squirrel did i miss the bike draw
Thanks. Bike draw is on 8/25 if the video can get to 10k views
Great video Brian.
Thank you👍🏻
we're sitting here in WNC expecting a balmy 78 degrees today
Must be nice…..🔥🔥
Great time lapse sequence! The stars looked amazing! Thanks!
Thanks👍🏻
It's hot , Dam hot, lol
🔥🔥👍🏻
Another great video.. have you considered opening rear window and cap window while driving. I was thinking cabin air conditioning could cool of the back while you drive to spot.. but who knows..lol
I honestly don’t think it would help much, but I haven’t tried that yet
Great video!
👍🏻👍🏻
Turn your interior lights off and stop the daylight from coming in too help cool the truck down... May help 😊
👍🏻
cottage cheese and sliced peaches rules! I had sliced pears with it last night because I was out of peaches. Did you flip the squirrel when it was done on that side? lol
Lol. He was well done
Not sure if it’s available in your area, but the only chicken I buy is from a company called Amish Farms and it’s in Food City stores in Tennessee, it’s the most tender chicken breasts I’ve ever had. A little pricey ( what’s not nowadays) but well worth it.
I’ll see if we carry that around here?
Brian , I love Cottage Cheese try putting Sugar on it. And maybe a little Pepper. I know sounds disgusting but I like it. Thank you for sharing your videos. Jake McClellan The Oregon Boy 👦
👍🏻 I do like pepper on it, I do that at home👍🏻
Great video Brian! Way to hot for me! #brianwatersoutdoors
Thanks Marla👍🏻
Not the Devil’s armpit?!? I’m borrowing that one. 😂 That poor squirrel. 😢 This year’s heat is unbearable. 🔥🔥🔥 My neighborhood squirrels and birds take shelter under the few trees we have. I keep the bird bath full and in the shade to help them out. #ThanksForSharing #BrianWatersOutdoors 🏕️
👍🏻👍🏻😀
Have you ever tried Robertson’s Ham’s beef jerky? Best in the country I believe!!
Never tried that!👍🏻
Dang i was the first one!
👍🏻👍🏻
I really like the covered picnic tables. Looks like a pretty good spot, other than the leveling issue.
👍🏻
Great video love ❤️ the squirrel 🐿️ so why haven’t you went to a mini Kerig coffee machine for coffee. You have electric ⚡️ when you truck camp just saying it would be easier and faster for the morning joe and hot chocolate cider and other options if you like that
I haven’t found any keuerig cups that make the coffee as strong as I like it
@@BrianWatersOutdoors mud it is. A man after my own heart. The one I have is an older one that has a strong setting and you can select 4 oz to 12. It takes 3 pods to fill my mug but it is strong
The devils armpit? ❤ lol
🔥🔥👍🏻
Great video Brian!! I'm surprised you didn't wet a line this time. Again, I look forward to the time lapse portion. Drone footage was the bomb too. Can't wait for the next one!!#brianwatersoutdoors
Way too hot to fish for me!👍🏻
😅@@BrianWatersOutdoors
I haven't finished watching your video yet but I wanted to venture a guess as to how the guy in the tent is doing it because I've done it in a 110° weather. You're in a site with electrical so just run an air conditioner if your tent would support it and mine will just push the great up against the vent in the tent and then use towels or whatever fabric you have to block off the access screen period the screens up above just block them off with a silver tarp or reflectix. It works but it's going to flog the snot out of that poor air conditioner what I don't understand is why he pitched the tent in the direct sun instead of in some shade.
👍🏻👍🏻
Poor little squirrel!! I hope the guy in the tent made it. Chicken just ain't what it used to be, but what is? Great video Brian! Loved the time lapse❤
Thanks👍🏻
Great video Brian! Seems like I learn something new from the cooking you do every time lol, like the Hawaiian BBQ. I've never had that before. It looks like a simple recipe and delicious, I'm gonna have to give that a whirl. Interesting camping spot. I like the overview of the lake and all. I was wondering if this bad heat going on ever made your drone overheat or get too hot 🔥? Anyway I enjoyed watching the adventure, looking forward to the next one! Have a great weekend and stay out of this heat !
The drone is for sure hot when I land it, but never had any issues yet.
🤘🏻😎🤘🏻🔥🔥
👍🏻👍🏻
Time lapse was very nice! Lots of airplane traffic.
Thanks👍🏻
express lane!! i live on the express lanes lately
👍🏻👍🏻
have you seen the new Airmate MAC509 Portable Split AC, looks pretty cool.....
I have not, but will check it out
#brianwatersoutdoors seeing the skyline TEXAS BIG CITY
👍🏻👍🏻
Yes I-35S I the worst. I try to avoid that freeway…. I go down Beach St.
👍🏻👍🏻
👍👍
👍🏻
Very hot there, Brian. Please don't camp and do videos if it's too hot. You do amazing shots with the drone. Great video.
Thanks👍🏻
Come to Michigan. It's 70 and sunny 😎
Ugh. I can’t even imagine that
@@BrianWatersOutdoorsalso, my Wave 2 died so last trip I also used a window AC in the van window.
lol at the squirrel and I don't know what the tent dude is doing. I don't summer camp in southeastern Tennessee and our mountain sites are shaded and cooler than city temps. I like fall and most of winter. January is typically a bit rough but you can always add more layers of clothing and start big cheater fires then collect more wood to burn later. If it has moisture in it just lay it around the outside of the fire. I've been to music festivals in 93-98 degree weather (high humidity) and without renting a pop up camper with A/C it can be miserable. I don't know how the dude in the tent is alive.
👍🏻 I’d much rather be freezing than melting
Is that instant coffee that you drink in the morning? Just curious. Great video! I have a good friend in Ft. Worth. NC here. Take care!
It’s coffee grounds, just in a bag. Similar to tea bags
I know someone who uses a portable A/C unit while him and his family camp in a tent. No, thank you. I'll be in a motel room if it's that hot out.
😂👍🏻
You are a 100% right about the chicken. Something has changed for sure. The muscle fibers are huge and like in a weird square shape. I don't buy chicken anymore for that reason. Well I'm kinda lying I do buy the expensive pasture raised chicken. Also when did chickens get the size of turkeys. The breast are unnaturally large 🤮
Glad I’m not just going crazy and someone else can tell the difference too😂👍🏻
@BrianWatersOutdoors Ya for sure it's like rubber textured. They are sure screwing up the food supply. Maybe in one of your future videos you can cook some lab grown meat 🍖 😂🤮😂
Hey Brian you never said how cool your ac got during the evening and night I was just curious thanks Katy Tx
It gets down to around 62 degrees at night. Cool enough for me to actually turn it down👍🏻
trifecta onion celery and catsup or carrot or something
👍🏻
You need to come up to Kansas. It’s been in the mid 90s as the highs
We go to lake Cheney near Wichita but Wilson lake is probably the best one in Kansas.
👍🏻👍🏻
I’ve visited Wichita many times for work. Love that area
I35 is a bad highway! Trust me in San Antonio it's bad all by it's self.
👍🏻👍🏻
You know what they say about pineapple at campsites, right? 🤣
😂👍🏻
I have a 2022 F-150 Lariat and noticed your back seat cover. Which one is that? it looks great
Don’t remember exactly which one. This came out of my 2020 F150. I think I just searched for “quilted seat protector” on amazon
Lake Whitney is only 78% full this week
Yeah. It was low
Hawaiian BBQ!? Really Brian!? 😅😅
Yup😂👍🏻
How cool does the camper get with your ac on? 5000 btu must cool that small space quite well. You are plugged into electric?
It gets to around 62 degrees at night. During the day it stays around 72 degrees
Hi Brian, can you tell me what material you used to cover your wires on your led light in your Leer camper?
Thanks, Ryan M.
It’s just Velcro 👍🏻
Thanks for the info. Prayers and happy camping to you and your family.@@BrianWatersOutdoors
Since you are the beef jerky connoisseur, what is your opinion of Buc-ee's jerky? Too hot outside to get a Bud Light?
Lol. I’ve never had the buccee’s jersey yet. Plan on doing an overnight at one when the weather cools down and I’ll have to grab some👍🏻
Hope you disinfected the knife before the potatoes..
I made it out alive👍🏻👍🏻
I live in az where its 120 and i honestly dont think your sleeping in there
Lol. 👍🏻
So is the 116degree is that a dry heat or humid heat and have you ever been near the 6666 Ranch in Texas
It’s humid to me. I believe around 74%. It’s not a dry heat like pit in the desert. Feels more like a sauna🔥
Well I live in SC we had a couple of days here about the same time you did and we had heat index of 115 with a 90%humid
Is this still your 5.5 bed truck from a year ago.? If so how do you sleep fully stretched out haha
It is not. I got a new truck with a 6.5’ bed👍🏻
@@BrianWatersOutdoors nice do you recommend me still doing it with a 5.5 bed I am 6.3 I was thinking of trying your old technique haha with the extra pillow at the end
Is your truck a 5.5 or 6 bed
6.5’👍🏻
First
👍🏻
