Just because the Switch 2 will launch this year, it does'nt mean that the Switch 1 will stop selling. It will definetly pass DS's sales around June/July. As for the PS2, the Switch has a 50/50 chance of passing its sales late 2026 or early 2027. Passing PS2's sales will depend only on Nintendo future decisons for the Switch such as for how long it will continue receiving support, price cuts, bundles and etc
It’s gonna be like the PS4 and the PS5.. they’re still releasing huge games for the PS4 well into the PS5s lifecycle and it’s because they’re not about to ignore 100+ million users. Same for Nintendo, 145 million switch owners aren’t about to get ignored just because switch 2 is coming out.
I feel like one of the biggest failures in the Wii U's marketing was that it almost seemed to be aimed at children, not helped by every commercial for console prominently featuring children. It had mature games, but many wouldn't know that from how many kids were shown in the ads.
Even though the Nintendo Wii U System is one of Nintendo's biggest failures of all time, it did bring us all the Nintendo Switch System as one of its Greatest Comebacks of All Time. Now, Nintendo is now doing Better than ever
The Wii U is an underrated gem and honestly it's a great console that was unfortunately ruined by bad marketing. It's biggest flaw was certainly its wasted potential; it was almost entirely focused as single player games being primary market. Though it actually was built for 5 players; and it had potential to be one of the most innovative hardcore gaming experiences period. The way it was built gives the impression that, Game Pad users could play as game bosses while everyone else played players for various games that centered around groups of players taking on big boss gauntlets together. And some other ideas could've work better if there were ways to have 4 Game Pads per system not just one. But the game pad was the best idea for RTS style games to be played on consoles that otherwise would have only worked on PC. Likewise, pretty much any big adventure game that was very inventory heavy was something the Wii U was built to have better management. The main gimmicks were built to have hardcore gaming support, but it was still marketed as family friendly; this is despite gaming community being confused with hardcore gaming actually meant and thus were being unfair even to Nintendo Wii. Wii U lacked even brand new Fire Emblem games and especially not enough Legend of Zelda or Metroid clones that would have also been perfect for it. But Nintendo Land, that is a legacy that will not be forgotten as long as I live.
Tbh I still get a lot of milage out of my wii u especially since my actual wii broke years ago an I still have a lot of wii games and game cube games I can revisit lol
And if there is one thing the Wii U excelled out, it had the biggest Virtual Console and thus most expansive Backwards compatibility out there excluding illegal methods of course.
I've had 6 switches in the last 7 years. My first one was in 2019 and I played BOTW and some other 1st party exclusives. My last one was the OLED TOTK Edition. Ended up selling it caz I had no need for it anymore. I'm 100% buying the Swich 2.
I saw a comment on neogaf telling Nintendo to keep digging the hole they were in (in 2016) and see where it'd lead them to. well if it leads to this, maybe we should dig holes too 😂
I really loved Wii U, cause was where I first played monster hunter online, on PSP I only played offline cause I didn't have friends with one at the time, but man, a few weeks ago I booted my Wii U and my PS3, and even though wii u has better hardware, games on PS3 looks way better for the most part
DS, 3DS, Wii, Wii U, Switch and Switch 2 are Nintendo's biggest comebacks and I listed Wii U too because and in my opinion Virtual Boy is a bigger fail than Wii U and I'd enjoyed with Wii U that much I still have it! Wii U needed to be a fail because after Wii U Switch was and still is Nintendo's biggest success of all time since Wii and 3DS and I believe that Switch 2 will be a big success I'll sense it: Let's a GO! 😍
Fall of Xbox next😂 (first mistake: yOu CaN’t ShArE (lEnD) yOuR gAmEs WiTh YoUr FrIeNdS) (second: RECHARGEABLE CONTROLLERS INCLUDED WITH THE XBOX ITSELF!!!)
Nintendo wasn't perfect. And it still isn't. They made old games rent only for the Nintendo Switch Online and the expansion pack. They had boring games like Breath of the Wild. They currently have the Switch 2 getting ready to be released in the future but it is an underwhelming console that seems like they didn't put any effort into it to make it stand out from the original Switch
Nintendo has come a long way from the days of the Wii U!

I loved Nintendo Wii's reveal: Wii would like to play! 😅❤
Wii U may be Nintendos fail console, But its great how that mistake was the begining of the Switch. Now Nintendo is better than ever.

Nintendo will Rise again, i can feel it when Nintendo Switch 2 launch.

Frfr i thoroughly enjoyed the WiiU. But I bought waaaay to late in its life
At least Wii U sold more then Virutal boy, so Wii U is not totally a bad console.

Just gotta say: Wii U is amazing, that’s a truth
im glad we have the switch cause honestly we are living in Nintendo,s Renaissance afterall and i want to appreicate nintendo work on the Switch.

Wii U may have been a disappointment but it did give us the switch so that’s a positive.
Big Nintendo!
Now Sony just needs to get their shit together
The Wii U was essentially the beta version of the Switch.
The WiiU has to take the fall so the Switch can rise. It was smart of Nintendo to port most of the games to the switch.
I can’t wait for the Switch 2
They treat their fans like garbage

wii u was awesome cause I can play all wii games on it the bad part they didn't have enough games but i never had a Wii

Don’t call it a comeback
They've been here for years.

first
Comeback? 😂 wtf
I mean if that’s not a comeback idk what is. 13 million consoles sold is abysmal
After this video, we decided that laughter was the best way to start the evening. Now we have a tradition👄
Switch 2's big innovation is the mouse feature that the Switch 2 Joy-con is expected to have. This innovation is likely to appeal to PC gamers.
