Saw this movie in a small local cinema back in 1991. "Hasta la vista, baby," and the following gunshot/shatter effect got a round of applause. Then there was an uncertain half a minute where we were all just sitting there thinking, "Uh... is that it? Did they get him?" Why is it that movies today cant create iconic scenes like this? Just think about it, practically everyone could identify this scene if it was remade/parodied/etc
Because the 90s were pretty much the pinnacle of what movies visually could achieve. When Terminator 2 got released, everybody went "you gotta see this. you've never seen some man made of liquid metal morph into different things like that before", with Jurassic Park everybody went "you gotta see this. you've never seen such realistic dinosaurs before." When was the last time that somebody said "you GOTTA see this in the theater because there has never before been something like that in a movie". Nowadays you can create everything you want cheaply with CGI. Little is done practically anymore. Thus, people are less and less impressed with movies. Also, most blockbuster movies simply have absolute garbage scripts nowadays. Hollywood sees how successful garbage like Fast & Furious movies get, and thus they put little to no effort in good scripts anymore because idiot teenagers are going to watch it anyways. 1:46 Now that I think about it, after Arnie shot him to pieces, they should’ve took that moment to get as far away as possible. Like getting another vehicle and then drive as fast as possible with a head start. Instead, at this particular time, they basically stood there the whole time while the t1000 was still frozen, then melted, and then reassembling, to the point where it starts to reform its body. One of my favorite scene in Terminator 2 Judgment Day. Liquid Nitrogen is the liquid state Form of nitrogen that needs to be chilled about - 210°C, below ZERO!
The t800 was so concerned with looking cool doing his line john conor taught him that he didn't stop to think that maybe if they'd left the t1000 in that frozen state they would have had a chance at getting away further
0:47: The most reasonable thing would have been to just put the T 1000 into a big refrigerator! Whatever, still a nice scene in a brilliant movie! Long live Arnold & his fans!
That was T-800’s chance right get there. He could have picked up T-1000 while still frozen and thrown him in the nearby vat of molten steel. That would have saved him the trouble of getting his head bashed, getting his arm mangled, being stabbed in the back as well as saving Sarah from being stabbed in the shoulder.
No it's not *logical* . Just because you've seen the movie doesn't mean that the characters are aware of how to best destroy the T1000. You would make an awful writer and I bet you watch cinemasins too.

I am in 10th standard and there was question about which Metal when rubbed becomes liquid
I imagined t1000 and wrote gallium
Only good thing he did😂
You know that liquid nitrogen has a temperature about - 196°C and has the ability to freeze things instantly! What is this substance that makes so dangerous? 🥶🥶🥶🥶
One of the best scenes of that movie
One of my favorite scene in Terminator 2 Judgment Day. Liquid Nitrogen is the liquid state Form of nitrogen that needs to be chilled about - 210°C, below ZERO!
The t800 was so concerned with looking cool doing his line john conor taught him that he didn't stop to think that maybe if they'd left the t1000 in that frozen state they would have had a chance at getting away further
Bro when he says "Hasta La Vista Baby" it should be the killing blow
But the dude’s a liquid metal mandroid
What a movie! the best scene ever!!!
0:47: The most reasonable thing would have been to just put the T 1000 into a big refrigerator!
Whatever, still a nice scene in a brilliant movie! Long live Arnold & his fans!
Or pick the main body up and walk him to the furnace lmao
@@harpseal9234 plus the T-1000 was already falling apart before shooting it
That was T-800’s chance right get there. He could have picked up T-1000 while still frozen and thrown him in the nearby vat of molten steel. That would have saved him the trouble of getting his head bashed, getting his arm mangled, being stabbed in the back as well as saving Sarah from being stabbed in the shoulder.
I'm so sorry ... a movie would be great .. even the music is great .. 90's were so beautiful years 😢 current terminator movies fail ..
I think when the t-1000 his arm broke off he experienced a little fear for the first time second time when they kick ass in that molten steel
T2 eats T3 and the rest for breakfast. Okay T4 is rewatchable, but still.
T1 is still amazing too imo
I like Terminator Salvation.
Lost his leg , T1000.."nah it's ok I keep going"
Lost his hand "oh wtf man!
He's a little surprised that the nitrogen was actually hurting him. He wasn't really worried though
I'm having... trouble..
It was all downhill after T2
Impossible to tell you how many times the lines " Hasta La Vista Baby " and " I'll Be Back " where said in middle school during recess breaks 😂
If he threw it in the lava when it was frozen. It'd be much easier and making more logic.
even leaving it to defrost would have been better
@@bacburrito4225 but that's how a film logic works.
@@_GhostMiner You do realize that would have been the worst ending ever.
No it's not *logical* . Just because you've seen the movie doesn't mean that the characters are aware of how to best destroy the T1000.
You would make an awful writer and I bet you watch cinemasins too.
@Mike Driggs Plus there's a lot of unknown pieces. Do you have to collect all of the bits? What's the smallest part of the T-1000 that can operate on its own?
Sickest 1 liner in the game.
Im fascinated by the technology required to create such a machine
Pure cinematic gold.
The T1000 might be more evolved than the T800 in most aspects, but at least the T800 doesn’t freeze due to him being solid.
Yeah, exactly! That's why liquid nitrogen is a very dangerous substance.
This scene was so god damn mind blowingly kick ass in it's day it saturated everyone's sci-fi and action needs forever.
