    • @FishoD
      @FishoD 9 років тому

      slothhere 1. I'm European. 2. never saw the movie. 3. Plot is obvious based on the well edited "documentary". 4. Plenty of smart jokes in it. 5. The fact that you didn't see the movie or don't know about baseball doesn't make you dumb. 6. The fact that you thought I'm saying someone is dumb because they didn't see the movie makes you in fact, dumb.

    • @papab1esss
      @papab1esss 9 років тому

      Fisho D "...This is obviously too smart for a section of your audience" sounds to me as if you were implying that someone, who does not understand the, obviously witty and intellectual jokes in this video, is in fact, dumb. If i misinterpreted your comment, then sorry, but dont call "20%" of the people watching this video too dumb (to understand the joke), just because you think they are. I am European too and after reading some of the other comments, too young to have watched the movie even as american, so yeah, there's that.

    Despite the year of the film's release, I'm pretty sure it was meant to take place in 1993 instead of 1994. Even ignoring the strike that cut the '94 season short and cancelled the playoffs that year (which the filmmakers couldn't have seen coming), the film uses the previous AL West division rather than the realignment instituted beginning in '94. Furthermore, it's more believable (at least relatively speaking) that Mel Clark made a comeback after 3 1/2 seasons on the disabled list instead of 4 1/2. (Speaking of which, why is there no mention of Clark's tragic death the following spring?)
