"When you hear 1984, you're thinking of Daniel LaRuaso and Johnny Lawrence" Absolutely correct. Absolutely nothing in pop culture known as 1984 is as well known as this event, despite this event not even being called "1984". Some dude tried telling me about some novel going by that title, but I no proceeded to give him nasty leg kicks immediately so he couldn't run away, and then lectured him about how great The Karate Kid is as a cultural masterpiece that encompasses the term "1984" much better than any novel ever could. Pretty sure he turned out ok.
Danny's dumb - If I was in danny's position : after that I would have likely moved far away after cobra kai karate group sensei Kreeses ridiculously stupid threats
Dawn Sardella-Ayres I’m a Miyagi fan. Rest Pat’s soul. But the Chemistry between Ralph and Pat as Miyagi and Daniel is way beyond anything in cinema. It’s like gold. It saddens me that Pat isn’t around to reprise his role. But the Cobra Kai series continues that magic. While I appreciate Johnny much more in season 1 as Cobra Kai kinda is from Johnnys perspective. I think Johnny has a good heart. He helped “geeky kids” stand up for themselves and given them confidence, however I think Johnny is still conflicted. After all he had Kreese. There’s no such thing as bad student only bad teacher. I would love to see Johnny fight Kreese and see Daniel and Johnny become friends and introduce karate together.

@Vinny Booboo Ralph is one hell of a mystery. The dude was blessed with the fountain of youth or something cause when they filmed both Karate Kid and the Outsiders, he was 22 but he looked and sounded like he was between twelve and fifteen at best
@Ricardo Herrera It wasn't. Because if it was, Johnny wouldn't have won his first fight. Johnny's first fight, he wins with a double kick to the armpit and face. Dutch also wins a point against Daniel with a kick to the face. Rewatch the 1st movie.

@@neebsthegamer8657 are you stupid or what, cuz you can tell it's a joke
Archangel no. Pretty sure he’s being serious. I see no hint of a joke.
Pink Sus shut up, ur name is awful btw
Crane kick won’t work in street fight because they know it is coming
"When you hear 1984, you're thinking of Daniel LaRuaso and Johnny Lawrence"
Absolutely correct.
@Peter C apparently he didnt learn his lesson. I'm going back tomorrow hoping he's there. I'm gonna shut him down like... -its 1984- The Karate Kid.
Danny's dumb - If I was in danny's position : after that I would have likely moved far away after cobra kai karate group sensei Kreeses ridiculously stupid threats
George Orwell had a crap Crane kick, so you're right all the way.
This is amazing. Kudos to ESPN for doing this.
Sports guy 1: "Daniel was the best fighter that day."
Sports guy 2: "He was the best around."
Sports guy3: "Nothing was gonna keep him down."
"Johnny Lawrence Superfan."
Aren't we all, son? Aren't we all?
He is how they think jhonnys fans are fat pEOPle HAHAHA
nah :DD
Yes Sensei 🐍
The amount of times I've choked up during this documentary... One of the greatest sports moments ever.
This is amazing! Thank you for making this!!!
Larusso: you wanna finish this!? Johnny: bring it on.
You just said exactly what they said
Im Jex lmao
Hey! That’s my line!
@@johnnylawrence5298 dont be cringe bruh
EzMarz
I’m 51 years old. So I am probably “cringe”
I think this is the first time they've shown all those different angles of the crane kick.
Let's be real, we all know 'Never back down' got the script from this 1984 Karate tournament!
Daniel LaRusso was so skinny, even his girlfriend would have beat him up easily. and this is a fact.
Why would his girlfriend beat him up?
Could have done it, if she wanted to. She said it on an interview, because she was stronger and a better athlete than he was. @@mrcloopthethird618
@@robertocarlos0 So she wants to be him up because she's a good athlete? What a strange motivation for commiting domestic abuse.
@@mrcloopthethird618 domestic abuse or a karate lesson
That’s such a weird comment.. wtf is ur point ?
I’m dead right now. This is so perfect.
Turn that Crane Kick moment into a "we will we will rock you" music video compilation matching the kick to the face with the drum beats and the claps to him hitting the floor
"Hey, wake up and smell the coffee Mr. Larusso!"
~ Terry Silver
"Use the crane Danny boy!"
😂
Oh I've heard thru the grape vine we are going to see him and other characters from the movie ,in the series ..I want to see his girl Ally come back and get with Johnny..cause Daniel is married already so it wouldn't make sense if she got with Daniel or he cheated on his wife...it's not his character...
@@rainman42 Ali's married, if you remember when Daniel and Johnny checking her FB page in the bar.
Last time you wernt fighting THIS!
I remember after he won that, that's all my friends and I talked of... I mean dude was a legend. I kept that poster of the kick on my wall for years.
@Vinny Booboo and some day you'll be too
@Vinny Booboo Keep dreaming bro
@Vinny Booboo Ralph is one hell of a mystery. The dude was blessed with the fountain of youth or something cause when they filmed both Karate Kid and the Outsiders, he was 22 but he looked and sounded like he was between twelve and fifteen at best
“Johnny Lawrence was robbed!”
That's my favorite part of the whole video! His straight face is so real!!!
Ricardo Herrera no it wasnt
@Ricardo Herrera It wasn't. Because if it was, Johnny wouldn't have won his first fight. Johnny's first fight, he wins with a double kick to the armpit and face. Dutch also wins a point against Daniel with a kick to the face. Rewatch the 1st movie.
@@rumblefish9 what I want to know is why the punch to Daniel's face in the sequence before the crane kick wasn't scored?
@@J-Wheeler-G cuz its illegal, the reason kicks to the head are allowed is because kicks are harder to land on the face than [punches, and as of @R R 's reply u can now see that the crane kick is legal
Love the belt tied wrong at 1:22. Sums it up perfectly.
This was freaking funny. Good ESPN mockumentary.
tmaguire2075 What is this “mockumentary” you speak of?!?!
They're having so much fun with this!! I love it, makes me even more excited for season 2!
im bout to be 57 next month. walking around kicking and sh!t - wanna do karate! i'm laughin at myself with how magical this series has been. kreese enter at the end - thought i might need medical attention! So far... the show's really boss!
I think the biggest missed call in sports history was the hit in the NFC Championship of Rams vs Saints
Edit: Thanks for the likes and one more away from 200
TheBig Diesel Abso-freakin-lutely.
This shows that you can pay the refs once, but you can't in the Super Bowl because the patriots already did
Definitely not, seeing as football only takes place in America whereas futbol is worldwide, but still, it was a very controversial event.
It was just a joke about the Patriots, they deserve every Super Bowl they won even though we hate them for winning to much just like the Warriors
Or the back court violation by the national championship Virginia cavaliers.
This was the longest 6 minutes ever... Very captivating👏👏👏
Just when i thought I couldn't love this show anymore lol
'nothing's ever gonna keeping him down'. this is truly something!
Felipe Paparella oh my god I didn't even catch that lmao 😅
"That's all on John creese as far as I'm concerned"... lmao!!!
Matt Craig true
This series is soo good. A perfect example of bringing something back and getting it right
This is the most meta thing I have ever seen and I love it
They have a golden touch now. I am still in awe of how timing and current events have played a vital role in the release and acceptance of this. There is nothing like this and what they have done and how it is being played. It just gets better and better
Youu guys are sweeping my legs with this teasers..Lets go Cobra Kai!!!
Maradona's "Hand of God" is exactly like that crane kick.
I would say the Tuck rule was the biggest miss call in sports
Cobra kai is back where it belongs. Back on top ;)
But the real story only just begun
Hilarious stuff! 👍
(Steve Levy must have finished a late night bender just before filming by the looks of that shirt)
This is really beautiful. Like you romanticized my youth. Thanks.
It sucked lol but we all liked it at the time
