Man ! Thank you so much for this info. I just had my 10 speed transmission replaced for a 13 speed and the shop didn’t hook up the wires like they should have for the reverse lights.I do most of my small work on my truck and this has helped me so much. For the life of me I didn’t know there was a reverse switch 😂. I found the problem thanks to this vid. By the way, great vid.

My lights are on when not in reverse. Would a replacement be necessary to get them to go off???

@@derekgaines3943 if your lights are staying on, your positive and negative wires might be crossed on the switch.

@@truckadaddy832 it’s comes on when I switch the truck on. where would I find the switch at?

@@derekgaines3943 the reverse switch is on top of the transmission next to the base of the shifter. Remove your stick shift and rubber boot and you will see it.

Video was helpfull but how did you get to the reverse light. Was it from the shift booth or underneath . I ask because you had a clear view on how to see what you was working on.

Did you meant to say the reverse light switch? Please read over your question.
If you meant the switch you have to crawl under the truck and look on top of the transmission.
