Summary : What your skin don't need? 1. Physical exfoliator. Have irregular shape; could cause tear to skin. Recommend: Go for chemical exfoliator (dry skin: Lactic Acid, combo&oily skin: Salicylic Acid). 2. Electronic cleansing brush. Dragging all over your skin; may harm skin barrier. 3. Pore strips for black head& white head. Recommend: use Salicylic Acid 4. Gua shas + jade roller. No any evidence/study of the benefits from using it. 5. Makeup wipes. Not clean that great, one-time off used which later end up in the ocean & landpiles.
I still cannot comprehend why harsh scrubs are still available on the skincare market today smh. When I was using them as a young teen few years ago, with no knowledge of appropriate skincare, they had just accelerated my acne and worsened them 😩
So many people focus on all the things you should try, which ends up being a unnecessary, monster routine. This video is essential for minimalists like me 🙋🏻♀️

A basic skin care routine can transform your skin; cleansing, moisturising and sunscreen can do so much. Once I followed these 3 steps and used good products my skin got so healthy. And I also swear by Paula's Choice 2% BHA, I use it once a week and it works so well! :)
@@jooleeyah22 I prefer to use it at night time, one or twice a week. I don't use it often as I don't want to rely too much on BHA, I have two other BHA products :)
@@FanSailorMoon1 Yes I follow it with the rest of my skincare routine; toner, essence, serum and/or moisturiser. The Paula’s Choice is not a hydrating product, so just pick your preferred one to apply after using it :)
Please do a drugstore sunscreen video /the best sunscreens .I still don’t have a sunscreen as I am in London and some of the stuff people recommend isn’t here so I would love a video from you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I messed up my skin so much with scrubs, harsh toner and pore strips... and never wearing sunscreen 😭 it hurts my feelings just thinking about it.. i waS SO FLAKY
Oh, didn't know this was a new video, I just literally saw this on my recommended just now. I really hope people stop buying the St. Ives scrub cos everyone here still uses it and it's really harmful :( You feel like a sister who really cares about people's skin health 💗 Great video, explained the reasons why well, and really just short and sweet!
Still enjoying my jade roller when I have a facial mask on😁😁😁...it gives an extra massage to the skin plus it avoids me constantly touching and pressing all that serum that sometimes drips all over🤣🤣
I am very prone to oily skin on my forhead and used wipes to clean my face every once in a while for when I am at work. Is there any good alternative if you just want to qickly wipe away that oil and want to feel fresh for on the go?
Hi! I was wondering what is your opinion of pimple patches (hydrocolloid ones and the ones with microdarts). I've heard so many conflicting opinions and no evidence cited, so I have no idea what to believe haha. Thanks!!
FUN FACT: black head removal was created by the famous singer/songwriter selena gomez... she was supposedly making her song “kill em with kindness” and somehow made a black head remover.
You should only recommend products that are vegan from cruelty-free brands. Therefore, no animals were harmed and they are more ethical. Also, I use a jade gua sha sometimes and it really does seem to depuff my face and improve circulation a bit. It can also massage out tension that I can't remove just by using my hands.
I don't agree with the guasha,if u use it in the right way it is helpful to sculpt your face and to reduce puffiness,i saw many videos about that and I'm sure. However I don't say the same thing about the face roller
can i use the salicylic acid from the inky list and the Paulas choice a AHA and BHA exfoliate after washing my face? i have bad pores and closed comadones all around my face i’ve seen a lot of people say that the Paulas choice gets deep into the skin to help with pores, closed comedones, rough and texture skin and i don’t know if it would be harm more than good using both.
I have been using a spin brush to was my face, but I don’t know if it’s doing any damage. The bristles aren’t rough, but I feel like with using my hands I don’t get a deep enough cleanse. Should I stop using it??
Is the dermalogica micro exfoliant good as an alternative of scrubs?? That’s what I’ve been using for the past few weeks and I absolutely love it! Thanks for the great tips!! 💕💕
Hi I’m a new fan and I have spent all week binge watching ur vids and I rlly enjoy them ! 😊 I have rosacea and sensitive skin .. is there a ordinary product that helps with this ?
to remove the filters from your suncreen you HAVE to use a first cleanser that is oil based because a water based cleanser won’t remove those filters and you don’t want them to stay on your face at night! :) So at night start with an oil based on dry skin then rince it with warm water and use your second cleanser! hope that helped! xx
It's not needed because you can easily use your hands for massage andproduct absorption (by patting it). But it's a tool for facial massage like when you can't use your hands (like when they are dirty and you can't clean them right away) and facial massage is always good so I guess you're alright!
I've used it to remove makeup and it's so much gentler than make up wipes, if you want a deeper cleanse I suggest a cleansing oil then using your face wash!
There are some days when I’m way to tired or my pain level is too high to spend even a couple minutes standing at the sink washing off my face. I liked makeup wipes for that reason. Is there an alternative that you suggest that are more disability friendly than a double cleanse?
I have chronic pain problems, and I use makeup wipes as part of a double cleanse tbh! I follow them up with a no-rinse cleanser if I've worn makeup that day. Alternatively, you could also use micellar water followed by a no-rinse cleanser, if you don't want the wipes at all ❤️
Off topic, but I just want to say that you are absolutely beautiful ☺️ your skin is glowing 😌✨
Thank you! 💜
