Hello brotha, there’s going to be two reasons maybe 3 for the jerking when changing gears. How’s your idle? Maybe lower your idle a tad bit. Have you changed your gear oil? It’s important to do a full tune up and lastly but more than likely not your gearing is messed up and probably damaged

If you went through some deep water I would replace all fluids asap. That’s differential, tranny and engine oil
