3:25 Shaun Wallace: 23 steps (1st time)
6:49 Shaun Wallace: 23 steps (2nd time)
10:48 Shaun Wallace: 23 steps (3rd time)
14:41 Shaun Wallace: 23 steps (4th time)
19:49 Anne Hegerty: 26 steps
24:01 Paul Sinha: 24 steps
27:26 Jenny Ryan: 24 steps
31:15 Darragh Ennis: 20 steps
For those of you who already know this, I know Darragh caught 21, I updated it later.
I apologize, I was wrong he answered 21 questions, 18 right and 3 wrong with 30 seconds left.
I don't want to get in
Because I'm going to get caught
By the chaser
@@ahaye5006 but I do
This really shows how smart the dark destroyer is and how he shouldn’t be underestimated
It seems that he's either on top of it, or he crumbles. Very inconsistent.
@@lonewolfx499 Still a really good Quizzer lmao
@@Larcenics He's good, but he has lost quite a few final chases less than 15 steps.
@@lonewolfx499 He is the most inconsistent chaser but still very good.
@@Larcenics He may be arguably the weakest chaser but he is the only one there who could prob catch 10 in the last 30 seconds. He is so calm like Darragh (must be all that professional training). Other chasers whom are better would have a complete melt down.
It’s funny when Shaun knows he’s gonna catch the team and he answers the final question like a smart ass lol
Fatal Attraction wasn't it 😂😂😂
they've got to be in europe haven't they? I'm sure they are
@@shadowblade1539???
@@DittoGTIdid you watch the video???
@@warmmonkey679 Yes. He just said "They have to be in Europe." I don't get what he means?
Those Dark Destroyer ones were impressive too, so many pushbacks. At one point he was 18 answers in with like 50 seconds left as well
In the older series, he was very impressive. Obviously he still has his moments but is noticeably weaker than the other Chasers.
@@moatef1886 He's stronger than Paul, without question.
@@the___truth8038 Eveyone is stronger than Paul though.
@@Robuu after Darragh, he is the most stupid I think…
@@pavlikvodrazka8847 Yeah, I don't think it's so much that he's stupid, just very inconsistent.
13:59 Shaun can be hilarious sometimes 😂😂
Rather his singing and dancing tbf 😉
It's interesting that Bradley has started saying "correct" more efficiently than before - and that the Menace is yet to face either a full house, a solo player, or a Lazarus team.
What’s a Lazarus team?
@@nilachekov6881 A team where all four members have been caught and the team tries to "come back from the dead", as it were.
The Menace has, in fact, now faced a single player - but still, in 14 chases thus far, no full house.
@Qasim Hussain Bradley asks the questions slower these days so there is no reason to believe the Menace can't be equally as efficient each time. In 14 episodes he has only needed to seal three pushbacks at a maximum each time.
Shaun might be a little slower as he gets older.... but he's an absolute demon on these examples.
Just another day at the office, sir. 🤓
Have you finished?? Next question Brad.😁
bradley read marks questions so quickly lol
The fact that both the teams and the chasers are so competitive makes it amazingly exciting
Hey thanks for this, much appreciated. That first one by the beast was insane...
Big Beasty Boy is The Man!
God with Darraghs chase you can hear how much Bradley has slowed down
to get 18 steps with 46 seconds remaining is very impressive 26:12
Are you on crack it was only 6 steps left 🙄🙄🙄
18 steps in 74 seconds is amazing, 1 question every 3 seconds (rounded)
18:20 Bradley: In what war did Wilfred Owen die?
Shaun: First
Bradley: Corrrrrrrect
Shaun: ᶠ ᶦ ʳ ˢ ᵗ ʷ ᵒ ʳ ˡ ᵈ ʷ ᵃ ʳ
shaun either plays shit or amazingly well. no in between
Darragh as caught 20 THREE TIMES since this upload
How the heck did Mark get them all correct with none wrong? Also, I've never seen anyone get 26 before! That's amazing!!
You mean 26?
@@GameShowsGS typo sorry!
I've seen a team of 4 get 28 with the Sinnerman almost beating them at 27 having 1 second left
On two occasions Mark is given a second chance at an answer - the 1990 world cup he states italy then changes it and the boxing question clearly says Evander then changes - they should have been referred as wrong so dodgy af.
And strictly speaking, Germany didn’t win the 1990 World Cup, it was West Germany (the football team only unified with East Germany shortly afterwards).
@@simpsonsandchase Absolutely correct. The answer shouldn’t have been accepted.
I don't think the latter is unfair at all. He didn't finish the first answer, nor come close to doing so, before correcting himself. Sounds fair.
Oh God, and the former wasn't italy at all. It was, and I quote, "I-". Seriously you're pushing it.
He should have been stopped on at least one of those as I am sure he only accepts the first answer and stops straight after the wrong answer. I would be aggrieved if I was one of the contestants..
26 with 9 seconds to spare. Wow.
I thought the rules were 'Have to take the FIRST ANSWER" @1.49
There was no first answer. There was "I-" and "Evand-". Those are half-words.
paul sinha could get 36 if he was extremely lucky (9 questions in the 1st 30 seconds)
the Crimean peninsula question hits differently nowadays
Just another day at the office
26:12 - - This question is the question he accidentally said Coca Cola on beat the chasers
This one was asking about soda water, not Cherryade, but still basically the same question
Has anyone noticed , on the new chases the chasers have an exaggerated puzzled look when they get a question wrong?
Wow the beast getting 26 on the spin. Amazing.
I think it’s possible to get 30+ as long as they know every question and they are quick I’m almost and basically willing to say that 40 could even be a target if only 1 person answered every question right and straight away not taking their time think of an answer and still getting it wrong
4:16 shameful
18:41 Brad tried to mess him up and still failed
It was revealed by producers in the earlier seasons with Shaun when he was new, that the script for the questions was a typo mistake. Shaun admitted it came down to luck that he knew what he was trying to say as people assumed he deliberately tried to end Shaun’s winning streak to get the contestants a win as the past few episodes there was almost no wins at all!
Anyone notice? Mark's SECOND answer was accepted on 2 questions
He corrected himself. You're allowed to do that if you don't finish the first answer. I only recall one instance, but he went "Evand-" and then said his actual answer instead. The first one wasn't even close to being a thing.
Oh no wonder I don't remember the first instance, it doesn't even happen. He says "I-". That's not even an answer. Idk maybe there's a rule where you have to take them at exactly what they say, idk, but I think it's super harsh especially in the Italy example. I mean if Brad disallowed him on that, the comments would be absolutely fuming. Probably even yourself, we're more contradictory than we think. I mean, come on. A guy goes "I-, no Germany!" and then Brad goes "Sorry, have to take your first answer". That's ridiculous and you know it, it's only being taken seriously because in a video where chasers do really well, it's all cool to try and nitpick.
All the OG chasers set their highest catch 9 or 10 years ago, i wonder if they are getting slower/worse over timer
Actually, the Chasers are (somewhat) slowly getting stronger. The reason the highest Chases were back in the old days (Brad himself confirmed this on the show) is that the questions are harder on average now and Brad has slowed pace quite drastically from the old days. It's not that the Chasers have gotten slower or worse, but the game has gotten slower and harder.
When Jenny came in, they were in the middle of this transition period, so people used to unfairly compare Jenny's first few games to the first few games of the other Chasers without keeping this into context. They were saying stuff like "she doesn't belong as a Chaser" or "she's so poor at quizzing" and stuff like that! She proved herself over time and is, for the past year or so, one of the best Chasers, definitely one of the quickest.
@@moatef1886 I think I'm right in saying that at some given point, every "new" addition to the Chase team has at one point held the best percentage winning rate - and the Menace currently has a perfect record - although as I stated above, he is yet to face a full house, a solo player, or a Lazarus team.
@@bobomb1986 Yes, every new Chaser has won their first game, so at one point, every new Chaser was at a 100% winrate. That's not really a useful metric, but still. The Menace will inevitably lose some games but for now on, this is a neat start. That being said, they do air these out of order so it's very likely he has lost, numerous times even at this point in time.
@@moatef1886 That's not quite what I mean but yes. :)
@@moatef1886 Fun fact, actually - while every chaser has won their first episode *broadcast,* Mark, Anne, Paul, and Jenny have confirmed on Twitter that they actually _lost_ their first episode *taped.*
Mark’s first show was S1 E6 when he lost 20-19
Anne’s first show was S2 E10 when she lost 21-17
Paul’s first show was S4 E35 when he lost 26-18
And Jenny’s first show was S9 E54 when she lost 17-16
6:14 This sound effect is the same as the indication showing up before questions of the _Face à face_ in pre-2016 Questions pour un champion
I would like to see the contestants' efforts in the Chase.
How come mark was aloud to give two answers on the World Cup question and on the boxing
And he got the World Cup one wrong anyway!
Really though Paul and the beast mark have the highest targets NOT CAIGHT but they have the beast because of 28 step final chase in which they both got 27
Both were only one off too
South Asian country...
Thailand and Vietnam are both SouthEAST Asian countries. That would have given them the win. 🤯
'Evander... No,...' how did Bradley allow that? Wrong answer was given.
@@Bottomgear5780 in germany they have actually done that. The chaser answerd wrong first and right later on but he still gave it to the contestants.
At 18:42 I don’t think the chaser was allowed the win. He stumbled so much and he said something more on the lines or kerracotta and Bradley accepted before he said the full answer so it was a bit scuffed on my opinion
Bradley also was stumbling over the question
@Katie Hough I totally agree with you on how Bradley was messing up with the question but he reads a lot quicker to the chaser when it’s almost impossible for him to win and he wins with like a second left
We all knew what he meant, so i think it should count.
He kept glancing over at the number with 10 seconds left, never seen that before lol
Actually, the "Chaser has won" music plays first - so the producers/people behind the scenes gave him the win before anyone else did.
Will 30 ever be a target?
Incredibly unlikely now. The very high targets were set in the early show because the questions on the early show were generally easier. As they're harder now, probably to compensate for Bradders admittedly having slowed over the years, breaking any target records at this point isn't going to happen.
Highly unlikely. You hardly see anyone get over 22 these days.
Doubt it
It would a very good team of four on a hot run with a bit of speed. I’ve seen 28 before and it lost.
The thing is , is that 2 players a team of 2 got 26 which got them to 28 a full house has got 28 altogether which is 24 so but if a full house got 26 like a team of 2 players did then that’d get them up to 30 , but youknow what the most annoying part is , is that questions are getting harder and Bradley’s getting slower so there’s no hope sadly if you think about it if you ask me shame
Sorry but the beasts first answer was evander but brad let it go when he changed it ..not fair
Can you do 20+ catches s13-14?
If the team got the 2 questions correctly that the chaser got wrong, they probably wouldve won
Really fin
There should be a basic minimum prize. Also, the chasers should only be allowed to make certain comments if the chasers wins. For example, "another day at the office" is a nasty way that the chasers is rubbing it in. They should be more ethical.
How do you feel. What a bloody stupid question
The contestant was a bit miffed when Jean Shrimpton, How many days in a non leap year followed by what gas is used to make drinks fizzy.. I would be too.....with 25 seconds remaining those were the easiest questions ever for a Chaser but 'of course' they could have been for the contestants if they had chosen the right pack..Hhhmmmm
How come mark was aloud to give two answers on the World Cup question.
“The” Aliens????!?!!?!
I feel like Jenny's should be 25 with an asterisk*
Thought he takes the first answer normally lol
23:14 what episode is taken please

Is it just me or does Shaun always look miserable
Ayyyy
in the shaun wallace episode, at 5:02, it's actually in Russia and has been since 2014.
The episode aired in 2010 so at the time Ukraine was correct.
@@simpsonsandchase how do you know that it was aired in 2010? When did the styles change?
@@shadowblade1539 The style mostly changed to the one used today for series 3, which first aired in 2011.
ok
@Postmortem Colonoscopy well if you are correct i didnt know that
That's why he Brady Walsh kept stopping the clock they would have won that everyone of them was robbed I say bring them all back Brady Walsh😘
He has to stop the clock when the chaser gets a question wrong as that is what he's meant to do
Well thanks to the video’s title, I don’t need to watch. Spoilers in the title?!?! Seriously wtf?
You can still enjoy the video calm down
Stop crying 😥😥😥😥
The Beast's first answer was wrong and then he said no and changed it to correct answer. If that was a contestant, Walsh would not have accepted it.
