Great video. Microsofts Support and Recovery assistant, that is a very helpful tool, I have used it in situations where Outlook kept prompting for password, it found the root cause

Andy could you do an episode on how to manage OneDrive, how to force synchronizing from desktop to "server/cloud". What steps should be taken before it is put into production and how to turn it off. We want to use OneDrive synchronization to assist in a tenancy migration and to make sure the users don't lose files/content in the local OneDrive.

Hey Andy I have a question not related to this video, But I am at my wits end and I do not know where to write you a DM.
I have a small network that I just inherited and there is a very weird bug. I have only one computer that is on azure. every one else is just regular Microsoft accounts. the network has a shared folder that is accessible by everyone but the new user I have on azure. When I use the new computer, but sign in as my global admin account I can access it. it is just the user account that is getting blocked. Do you know of some setting that would need to be changed to make this person be able to access the folder without granting them admin privileges.
the shared folder in on a non azure connected computer.

Interesting! I would add the user to a group of users who has access. It sounds like there is an explicit access permission, overriding the new user. It’s definitely a permissions issue. Have you tried posting to the Microsoft tech community? They’re really good. Best of luck and all the best, Andy

Ok. So I have been on the Microsoft assist with four people looking at my PC. A dozen tickets. They had me do a recording of what is wrong. So here’s what’s wrong. My team site from 2010 crashed so the only thing I have is a broken one drive that is feeding my real site. It keeps messing things up because it thinks I am not me. All I want them to do it take the old site off and set up my site correctly. They tell me remove everything from the one drive and uninstall it. Three days ago. I have a company. No one can get to things and they have not responded back. I had to put the drive back on line but now it wont sink. The entire original drive is gone. Any ideas?

Oh my what a pickle. Why did you just not migrate your site into SharePoint Online? 2010 is so old there's bound to be incompatibility issues now, which I suspect is why you're having problems. 2010 is no longer supported as thats 12 years ago. Best of luck mate :-) Sorry I couldn't help

One thing I noticed lately… you mention the custom help desk option for partner which Is supposed to force admins to contact custom support instead of 365 support… I have noticed enabling this that this does not seem to happen when no partner is actively linked to the account… have you been able to get that working just on its own?

you do nothing. You open a ticket that you can not create an inbound connector AT ALL. If you are lucky someone will phone you within 3 days and gives you tips you already tried. Then he will say that he need more details despite the problem is obvious to send it to america. They then, wont respond at all. I really have to say that this is one of the downsides with everyone/thing in the cloud. And MS could just chance pricing anytime of course.

Oh dear, I’m sorry to hear of your conundrum. If I may recommend. Rather than placing a Support call from the website use the Microsoft 365 admin app. I found that I get to a much higher level faster that way when placing a Support car. I wish you the best of luck, all the best, Andy
