Haha! I agree with you. As a homeschooling mom of 4, I also watch those videos and think “I don’t have time for stickers and doodles! Just write it down!” So refreshing to see your video of real life just getting it done.
I’m a simple woman and just write it down. I do have to use a tracker or I’ll forget if I took my meds or suchlike. I also keep a food diary in mine. It’s all about just getting through life with less friction.
It’s refreshing to see others approach the more simplistic approach to planning/journaling. I completely relate! Simple and to the point is the best approach. I love the notebook and pen combo by the way!
I was going down the rabbit hole of planning and fountain pens tonight, trying to get some ideas and inspiration to switch up my travelers notebook setup. And I said, Hey I remember that brother from back in the day when I was learning about Dr Ruckman!
I get it, sometimes I cant write in my planner because I dont have the right color pen or marker with me. I’m trying to just use a mechanical pencil, but I do like the pop of color the highlighters and pens have to get my attention.
I would suggest 1 multi color ballpoint that you could keep attached to your notebook and you can Highlight everything later if you like. I only use one pen and just circle and box things because I want to keep everything as simple as possible. I cant afford the situation where i cant write something down because then i forget it.
I appreciate the video and KISS principle. Exactly what I've seen in so many other videos. Too much art work. LOL. Do you carry that with you everywhere you go? It looks too big for a pocket.
Honestly what do people get out of reading the bible? Not meaning any offence, it’s as far fetched as the Joe Ambercrombie novel I am currently reading 😂.

I’m also a functional planner. The only thing I have to do for visual purposes is to color-code my entries. 1984 is also on my reading list. TFS! 🤗
