    PEACE
This week in Come Follow Me in Mark 2:3-12 the man with palsy has been a favourite story of mine since I was little. I remember every time it was my turn to pick a scripture story for my parents to read to us, I would pick that one.
I can relate to this man with palsy. When I had shingles in my left ear it caused facial paralysis. I had the faith that I would be healed and I was.

@@connectupcomefollowme You are welcome! I enjoy listening to Chelsea and your lessons!
Yes when I was dealing with shingles in my left ear, I was calm through the healing process. I received a priesthood blessing, fasted with family and friends, scripture study, prayer and other things helped!

Jesus was the best Physician. Maybe He wasn’t an official practitioner of medicine, but He was so good at the art of healing not only sick bodies, but sick souls.

Word of the day for me was answered in the first story shared to know that the Savior heals!! I was so thankful to hear those words it was a “answer” to prayer!! Thank you! I have been blessed, no longer hard hearted!❤ I’ve known this but thought it didn’t apply to me but I thought of our Beloved Prophet who healed diseased hearts he also heals broken and spiritual hearts or hard hearts by giving us time to ponder and change. I truly believe in the message you shared and I thank you for your continued love and support by sharing your love, time and talents!

    Caffeine was my spiritual paralyzer….
I received many promptings to quit but since I was addicted, it took my months to do it. Finally I received insight that I was spiritually stuck and that I was stalled and not moving forward. This was very hard for me to ingest and so I finally stopped with caffeine and have had non for 8 days.
I prayed so hard for the will you want to stop and the strength to do so.
I am just so grateful for the atonement and peace that Christ brings. I feel like my spirit is at peace again and that the channel to heaven is open wider again 🙏🏻

Great lesson!!! I would like to share something from the October 1845 General Conference in the talk by Mother Lucy Smith.
"She(Lucy Smith) was the mother of eleven children, seven of whom were boys. She raised them in the fear and love of God, and never was there a more obedient family. She warned parents that they were accountable for their children's conduct; advised them to give them books and work to keep them from idleness; warned all to be full of love, goodness and kindness, and never to do in secret, what they would not do in the presence of millions."
And here is a thought I came up with and have on my fridge. "If you heal your spiritual sickness it will most of the time cure your physical sickness."

Thank you so much for doing these videos! I watched last week too but didn't get a comment in. Chelsea's comment that Satan cannot mimic Peace stood out to me. That is comforting to know. What I noticed going thru the lesson with the manual earlier is that some of the people came to Jesus and asked for healing, and others, such as the widow of Nain, Jesus noticed on his own. It reminded me that I need to take note of things going on around me enough to notice if someone needs help.

PEACE!! Love this. I can always feel the love you both have for the Savior.
When Steve was talking about his parents, I could feel the love he has for his parents and how much love they had for him and his siblings. One story I remember is when Dennis took my son Jon out fishing one summer day after my dad died (22 years ago Feb). Jon would go down to my mom's house across the highway from your parents, various times during the year and in the summer. Jon's not active now but he still talks about that fishing trip with Dennis and he is now 31. Your parents may not have had much but they showed love to those around. I really enjoy your teachings and love the energy and love you bring each week. Thank you for your selfless act of teaching us.

Dear Steve and Chelsea, I wanted to thank you for this lesson. Matthew 8:3 has always been one of my favorite scriptures! When the Savior says "I Will " it just chokes me up because I can hear His voice, the love and the willingness to serve, to love us. When my hubby and I served a mission in the Philippines 7 years ago, we noticed that the people were always saying " I will " be the one "
I will be the one to (open the door for you), or I will be the one to help you. I came home from that mission thinking, " how can ( I ) be the one to live the gospel, or be faithful, or pay my tithing, or do anything the Lord requires ?" How can I consistently say " I Will " be the one." Thank you for all you do, and for your encouragement. You've also helped our sweet daughters, Erin & Lindsay
We love you guys, Cindy and Richard Cranston

Thank you for taking the time to bless our lives and the lives of our children. I started going back to church and found so much peace there. No one judged me for not being there for years but welcomed me with open arms like I had never been gone. I feel so much PEACE as I watch and learn from you both!!! My parents, sister, and I joined the Church when I was 10 in Pasadena, California where I grew up. I leaned on my parent’s faith and followed their example. There were only a handful of us LDS teenagers at our high school and in 9th grade I really wanted to fit in. Unfortunately, I got sucked into the wrong crowd. My parents had my sister and I change high schools when I was in 10 grade and it was there where a different handful of LDS kids were and had such a bright light about them and I wanted it, too. That is when I turned my life around and became truly converted. I have nurtured my testimony and stayed strong ever since.

Ellen Hensley .. here are some valuable N/T passages to open even more doors for you! Enjoy!
      1. Can Jesus prove his lineage back to David? The Pedigrees in Matthew 1:2-17 (28 names) and Luke 3:23-38 (43 names) disagree, yet both are said to be Joseph’s lineage.
      2. Matthew includes 4 women in Joseph’s lineage (Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, and Bathsheba) Luke does not. The Torah counts one’s lineage only through the fathers, Genesis 5, Numbers 1:2, 17-18.
      3. Who knew about the Virgin Birth? Only Matthew and Luke seem to know anything about a virgin birth. If something as miraculous as a virgin birth had occurred, it seems odd that Mark and John did not mention it in their effort to convince their readers that Jesus was who they claimed him to be. In contradiction, Paul never mentions a virgin birth (insisting he was born of a woman) even though it would have strengthened his claim if he had. See Romans 1:3 and Galatians 4:4.
      4. When was Jesus born? Matthew 2:1 says Jesus was born during the time of Herod. Luke 2:2 says that he was born was born during the first census in Israel, while Quirinus was governor of Syria. This is not possible because Herod died in about 4 B.C., and the census took place in 6 and 7 A.D., about 10 years after Herod’s death.
      5. Why can’t the gospel writers agree on the order in which the disciples were selected? In Matthew 4:18-22 and Mark 1:16-20, Peter and Andrew are casting nets into the sea. Jesus calls out to them and they leave their nets and follow him. Jesus then goes on a little further and sees James and John mending their nets with their father. He calls to them and they leave their father and follow him.
In Luke 5:1-11, Jesus asks Peter to take him out in Peter’s boat so Jesus can preach to the multitude. James and John are in another boat. When Jesus finishes preaching, he tells Peter how to catch a great quantity of fish (John 21:3-6 incorporates this story in a post- resurrection appearance). After Peter catches the fish, he and James and John are so impressed that after they bring their boats to shore they leave everything and follow Jesus.
In John 1:35-42, Andrew hears John the Baptist call Jesus the Lamb of Yah. Andrew then stays with Jesus for the remainder of the day and then goes to get his brother Peter and brings him to meet Jesus.
      6. The Great Catch - Luke and John disagree when the great catch took place (see above).
      7. When did John the Baptist first meet Jesus and when did he first know who Jesus was? John the Baptist’s first encounter with Jesus was while both of them were still in their mothers’ wombs, at which time John, apparently recognizing his “Saviour,” leaped for joy (Luke 1:44). Much later, while John is baptizing (John 1:29, 36) he refers to Jesus as “the Lamb of Yah who takes away the sins of the world”, and “the Son of Yah”. John’s recognition of Jesus as the son of Yah and Saviour of the world is explicitly contradicted by Luke 7:18-23 in which the imprisoned John sends two of his disciples to ask Jesus, “Are you the one who is coming, or do we look for someone else?”
      8. When was Jesus baptized? Luke, who claims to be chronological (Luke 1:3), gives the impression that John did not baptize Jesus. Luke’s account of Jesus’ baptism occurs after the account of John’s imprisonment (Luke 3:20-21). John 1:25-34 indicates that John baptized Jesus before Jesus’ ministry began.

If you need more inspiration give me a shout! May JeZEUS continue to guide you!

Your message brought cheerful tears to my inner spiritual treasures that speak of submissiveness to be open for deep inner conversion to our Blessed Savior. There is no greater joy for me than when a person comes into the realms and power's of God's ability to allow his presence to dwell within those who acknowledge him in all that is righteous and nothing is of greater sadness to me when a person walks away into the "known" grasps of the adversaries empty loyalty that leads away.

I sometimes think Jesus was in the ship just pretending to be asleep and just waiting to see what his disciples would do. Probably maybe even giggling to himself and waiting and watching the choices they would make. I’m sure they were probably all saying a prayer either vocally or in their hearts as I would do if my little boat was sinking. Their prayer was answered as Jesus arose. 🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️❤️

Hello, this is the second time I've watched your Come follow me videos. It seems like I was introduced to them just in time as I was ready to start reading the scriptures again.
It's been since the start of Covid and my dad passing away from a fentanyl overdose during that same month that I stopped every and anything faith related.
Your videos help me because I usually don't understand what I read. I only began reading scriptures for the first time 6 years ago and I'm 32 now.
Back then, missionaries would come over and read with me or members would invite me over to have a study with them in their homes. Church used to be 3 hrs long and that extra hour helped to talk in a group of new members with older members. I lived in a populated place where there were more members and resources.
I don't have the same connection as I did with those members now that I've moved half way across the country to a very isolated town in a state with few members. With out your videos I would be feeling very alone thru my process to restart my faith. So thank you for taking your time do make these.
Also I love how much your love for one another shows thru how well you two work with each other, treat each other with so much respect and kindness. It's a beautiful example and your different personalities help to connect with different viewers.
I can loose my Intrest really fast trying to listen to some people but so far now each video I've watched of yours has been easy and interesting to follow. Thanks for all your hard work. I'm glad the videos aren't too long. My brains not that big either 😆

Christ performed miracles so that He could manifest His status as a member of the Godhead. What Steve says is also true.

Miracles what’s what Elder James W Mckonkie III taught at the Saturday evening session of conference last night. We can have Jesus Miracles in our life. The thing is, we need Faith to know the Miracles will happen. Whether that be small or big miracles will happen. We need to understand the language of Miracles, Revelation, atonement etc.
BTW this is my FIRST COMMENT!!

Dear Brother & Sister Scott I always enjoy your messages they are always uplifting. I really liked what Steve said about writing down the notes from each lesson or keepig a journal on them. I will have to follow that guidance because that was part of the counsel given to me when I received my patriarchal blessung.

@SteveScott10, at the end of the lesson (beginning at about 30:35) you mentioned a quote by Richard G. Scott that goes "A pencil in hand signifies the Holy Ghost that I'm willing and ready to learn. As we journal and as we write and as we get things out the spirit will tesitfy to us more." Where is the quote? I am asking as I am trying to focus on journaling a lot more as I go through the Come Follow Me lessons and also through the scriptures in the hopes to (as I had heard from the Solid gold Scripture Journals UA-cam channel) find *PEACE* in Christ and gain scripture confidence.
Also, I would be honored to be interviewed by you and share my conversion story if possible!

So, that's proof that Christ is Christ: He could repel the leprosy when a Sadducee or Pharisee would have become unclean if in contact with a leper. Only a member of the Godhead could have done this.

Good work, Steve and Chelsea: we are NOT to deliberately and pedantically cover all of the material. Elder Uchtdorf said that negates the Spirit anyway. He's the teacher.
