Lily Gladstone didn't just steal every damn scene she was in, she stole the entire movie. Even when she hadn't been on screen for 10-15 minutes, her shadow was looming over the film in a way you rarely feel

Its amazing how Leo crossed beyond the line of a great performer, now he is part of the production, where his ideas are taken into account and he has a real input how the movie should go, and not because they need him in the film, but because of trust in his expertise. Amazing.

Everyone quite rightly talks about the complexity of Ernest’s character, but I remember being really struck at Mollys complexity, she’s an assimilated Osage woman who is torn between her heritage and the increasing westernization of her culture and home. I wish more people in interviews asked Lily Gladstone about playing that element to her character

I don't think this is Scorsese's last masterpiece, frankly I actually liked The Irishman despite the fact it lasted 3 hours and a half. In fact, I saw it twice. Regarding Killers of the Flower Moon, if you're going to see it, get some food to keep you hooked on the movie, well that's what I did it when I went to the cinema. So, I'm glad Marty Scorsese's back to work Leo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro again and also, they both are like father and son on a set, however they are much better at acting together if it's about a Scorsese's film.

Such an amazing achievement🏆 When Martin Scorsese talks about not wanting to repeat that old cliched Western and do something better - make it similar yet far better- Well, Sir you did that in Spades. And Roderigo Pietro (sp?), his Outstanding photographic work- showing the wide expansiveness - this is the land. The Land is also a major player in the film. As is the Land belonging to the Osage. One has to feel the sorrows as the killings grow and the Land though silent is now become a killing ground when it was fertile and abundantly giving for the Osage. The Land is the money and the money is killing the Osage. Obviously the people controlling the money are the killers but the Land is not Silent. Every scene though very different manages to perfectly match up--thinking back to fire and the very powerful spiritual that plays alongside the shadows and the juxtaposition of the black and the yellow the fire burning it all -it gets inside your heart and one can feel this intense burning pain for all the suffering of these Osage😭. The Spiritual Owl that comes in....Perfection. It is a sad and treacherous film. One cannot help but sit in the theatre and feel a huge sense of disgust and awfulnes for what is happening. This is not an easy film to watch. It just is not. There are all the Osage women who are all dressed up in the same blankets. They all dress the same. Nit an accident but masterful storytelling. They are "the trophies"--a sickening feeling the way the men come to get themselves a rich indian woman to get their "head rights"-made my stomach turn with disgust.
Molly🏆...is Phenomenal (sp?)-she really brings IT! There is a power she holds over Ernest even still after everything and later on after the damage has been done she is still Brilliant and Strong Molly of the Osage. Ernest is just played to perfection. I honestly did not recognize Leo when the first pictures were shared online about a year ago. It was the dinner scene. I thought--who is that? To me Leo seriously disappeared into Ernest and he gave yet another true Leo Finest Character Performance🏆. He just disappears!
Do I see some Oscars showing up here to save the day and round out this Best Picture? Hopefully! Lily Gladstone certainly deserves it. I think clearly the genius of Robert DeNiro cannot be ignored. He perfected a masterfully evil character. And the way he schools Ernest and really turns him into Bad News. Constantly on him to get those evil deeds done. The tension between Hale and Ernest is taught and crackles with the Energy of these rwo heavyweight Actors. There is a heck of a LOT of Energy in this Film! Martin Scorsese and Mr. Briliant Forever Leonardo DiCaprio..they definitely have created this fine Masterpiece and I am hoping they will win! Musical score..absolutely. Best written adaptation..does that exist? David Grann has written a hell of a book. So many Gems really shining darkly...shining brilliantly...forever Bright with these Truths of Suffering, Pain and Enduring of The Osage Nation. This was the first Western to give the True Story back to the Indigenous people. The first Western to show these are real people with real lives, real joys, LOVEs and emotions. And on the far side of the savages so wrongfully stereotyped and portrayed-even in Society today this still exists! Martin Scorsese shows who the true savages are. He brings the Truth to the Big Screen. Thank You! Sending Very Much Love to everyone 💝 Brave Onwards!
Wild Irish Blessings to you all 🍀

Ah yes, very true. Definitely feels like if Nolan doesn't win best director for Oppy, they'll have to just give him an honorary one like 20 years from now lol@@TheKing-cm4uo

@@Fosterdid Come on at this point Nolan deserves it!! Even the great Martin Scorsese won only one oscar when he has countless masterpieces

It is good that this story is remembered, but I am truly disgusted this goes the Tarantino "movie violence" route - makes it disgusting on more than one level unforunately.

I mean, its good, but it just looks like another “picture for the oscars”, excellent yes, but no different, or mindblowing or anything like that
(So I hope it gets some awards for the performances and cinematography, but no for best picture)

The Harvey Girls (1946) with Judy Garland is a better piece of entertainment than Flowermoon. Just shows how far the cinema has gone downhill in 77 years. Sure, there is better diversity today, but are the film's better? Nope. They knew how to entertain during Classic Hollywood, not anymore.
