I come from a long line of dirt farmers. sweet tea, one we drink and one to water with. out of a garden 25ft X 200ft I can feed my family and yours and your neighbors. I highly recommend the grandma's brand because when I called to discus their product they were all very friendly and informative. Good post, keep them coming.
Thanks Noreen. I use this and it definitely does make a difference. I vary the watering: sometimes I add my fish fertilizer and molasses to the water, other times I add Epsom salts and molasses., It's a great boon for me as I do container gardening.
@@Trakehner20 I would venture a guess and say it increases production of whatever produce you're growing. More fruits, vegetables or flowers with less room & effort, regardless if you're using containers or not.
Thanks for this gardening tip, Noreen. I had never heard of it before, and now I am going to try it in my own garden and in my compost. It makes perfect sense the way that you explain it.
Hi Can you tell me some remedy for my egg plants. There is tiny little black insect. I sprayed neem oil and water mixtures. Is this enough or should I do something else. Thannks
Use the molasses and mix it up with worm-castings or mycorrhiza, rhizobia..or what ever you can find. Preferdably making a "tea" using a bucket and an aquarium airpump. That way you're making sure you're feeding the good bacteria and fungi first.
Noreen, have always had a fantastic garden in the front of my house...but the last 2 or so years i can't grow decent flowers. Would really like to get my Magellan Zinnias back there again but i think here is something depleted in my soil...Have always used Miracle Grow (Bloom Formula) every 2 weeks and they literally STOPPED traffic!.....What do you think?...has the Miracle Gro killed off the microrganisms and benifical bacteria in my soil?....what can i do to enrich and get my soil alive again?
miracle grow Monsanto research it go natural make a compost bin and worms but yes miracle grow is chemical not natural it is bad for nature research Monsanto I think they own miracle grow goodluck we need to wake up and use nature work in harmony with nature not against it
No, sugar will not work. Molasses has lots of minerals and vitamins that sugar does not possess. Sugar will only attract bugs that you will not want in your garden and it will burn the leaves and roots of the plants.
Actually she mentions it in the middle of the video: just add a quater of cup of molasses to a gallon (3,78 liter) of water. Then water your plants with this water, I assume.
Lime is caustic and harmful to both humans and animals. It will burn your skin. Molasses is neither caustic nor harmful and it will not burn your skin or hurt your pets or wildlife.
It works, i use it on lawns, we do lawn care in the summer..got a whole neighborhood asking as to what we use on the lawn, because my clients lawn is evenly green...everyone else is patchy green

Can you use sugar dissolved in water?
No, sugar will not work. Molasses has lots of minerals and vitamins that sugar does not possess. Sugar will only attract bugs that you will not want in your garden and it will burn the leaves and roots of the plants.
store your molasses in a warm place
