Hey. Love watching you. You are so quietly funny. Monkies? So funny. I drew my first dog yesterday and laughed thinking qualah bear. So funny. Love your voice and that you are so open and honest. As a child we rented a FL house pink oh yeah. Winter Beach FL...Caroline in NC

I'm absolutely IN LOVE with this sketch. I think I'll attempt to create this for my daughter's two dogs, and customize the Bakery name to fit each of her dog's names. I think it will be a cute Christmas gift. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and I always appreciate artists that show the entire process on their channels. Thank you again!

Another sweet video and sweet painting! Thank you so much for also sharing your trials and tribulations. You’re so humble. I admire you for doing it and being able to laugh too. Over all at the end, it turned out great! Cheers to Benny Hill! exit stage left.

I have painted three of your watercolor tutorials. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos.
Where Does "Get the Gist" Come From?
The phrase "get the gist" originates from the Middle English word 'gist,' which means "the main point or essence of something." The word 'gist' is derived from the Old French word 'gisir,' meaning "to lie" or "to be situated," which in turn comes from the Latin verb 'iacere,' meaning "to lie" or "to rest." The earliest known use of "gist" dates back to 1632, but it was in the context of the basis for legal action.
    Historical Examples
"A client comes to the office to prepare a contract; your employer calls you in and you get the gist of it in order to properly draw up such a contract."
    - The Law Student's Helper, Vol 1, 1901
"They know how to get the gist of the paragraph into the headline."
    -The Spatula, Vol 21, 1914

That's so interesting and that it dates back to 1632.
Thanks for taking the time to watch my videos and I love that we can all learn something together.
