Dobry wieczór. Pięknie zagraliście ten utwór !!! Jestem fanem Tangerine Dream od 40 lat i byłem na tym koncercie we Wrocławiu {PL}. Pan Edgar Froese, Franke i Schmoelling byliby z Was dumni. Dziękuję i pozdrawiam, Kazimierz Dymek. Polska.
In 20 years listening and being influenced by tangerine dream, with Poland as one of the first albums, this is one of the best videos I have ever watched. I wish a brilliant music career for everyone involved.
Wow... As a 70 years old TD fan - and also guitarist, though late in life... -, who knew the band too early with Phaedra in 1974, when I was still 24 ( ! ), I'm deeply emotioned by listening to and watching your awesome acoustic transcription and performance of this highly intricate eletronic piece from 1983. And the great tribute you are paying to the geniuses who created this piece, the late Edgar Froese ( we miss him very much... ), Joahannes Schmoelling and Chris Franke. Tears of emotion are dropping from my eyes while I listen to you superb work. I feel very glad that very young musicians, many of them I believe were not even born in 1983, are truly loving Tangerine Dream's legacy and creating new versions of their music. Thank you VERY, VERY MUCH ! One thousand congratulations ( from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil ) !
Absolutely remarkable! Great arrangement, and great playing. Symphonic covers of "pop" music usually don't quite work but this one is an exception. Keep up the good work, and long live Swedish-Polish-German friendship. Greetings from Hungary ;-)
I hope Johannes and Christophe will hear this, they would be so proud. Too bad Edgar didn't get to hear it! I am amazed and delighted, myself, with this lovely and respectful performance. I hope they will all go out and explore more T Dream, for themselves.
Brilliant, as a vintage TD fan, I'm nearly 70 years old, and TD have played a massive part in my life. I'm really loving these acoustic versions of their classic tracks. Regards Rob.

Great! It's one of my favourite TD pieces, especially that I remember the original Zabrze concerts back in 1983. I am amazed with the idea to make acoustic version, and the result is overwhelming. Moreover, it's not a direct copy of the TD piece, but - better to say - creative rework. Big pity that only part one of the Poland concert is made by you; I would eagerly listen to the whole one . A nice joke is the girl in the beginning, announcing the team (in perfect Polish), as a very close paraphrase of the text read by Jerzy Kordowicz in the original recording.
Pozdrawiam serdecznie.
Oh my God.. 9 months after the first time I heard this cover, I still get tears in my eyes. This is so fantastic and extremely well executed!!! I hope the performers were properly applauded for their efforts performing this relatively complex piece..!
Thank You Mr. Teacher +students, great job! For those criticizing synthesizer music this is a proof how complex and valuable this composition is even if played on convencional instruments.
Poland is my "desert island" Tangerine Dream album. Fantastic work and attention to detail, even covering the announcement introducing the school and band.
Absolutely incredible! What musicianship - to maintain such stunning rhythm, synchronisation; to show such an understanding of the piece; to be able to translate such an iconic electronic piece into a completely acoustic rendition. Extraordinary innovation, invention and vision. I mean this when I say - this deserves the attention of the Grammys' or similar award - it's _that_ innovative.
Wonderful, excellent, very impressive, teutonic, magical, intelligent, respectful tribute. Johannes, Edgar and Christoph would be impressed I'm sure! ;-)
Tangerine Dream is the future's classical music - this brilliant reworking is the proof.

Fantastic, i am absolutely stunned by your performance. Poland was my first TD album and you made such a vivid and authentic interpretation of this masterpiece. Btw, the announcement is fantastic as well!!
Just think in 200 years time, the likes of Tangerine Dream will be heard the way we hear Mozart now, music in all genres is special with no boundaries or prejudices…..wonderful example here…well done talented young folk
Yeah, most of TD's music has big brains under a deceptive surface. For example, on the ending part of Horizon we have a development of a track from The Soldier soundtrack, later reworked as Ayers Majestic. It features a manic ostinato bass, frantic military drums, displaced polyrhythms and completely clashing chords, creating the most perfect ever sonic portrait of Reagan-era Cold War paranoia. A lifelong dream of mine is to try a cover of this complex work. Not necessarily acoustic...
i Kordowicz jest! rewelacja; polish radio presenter and sound director Jerzy Kordowicz announced TD at the concert in Warsaw in 1983; this is fantastic, keep it up, please
Many thanks to all students for the fantastic performance of the complicated piece Poland. I love this trackTD. Excellent job. Thank you! Regards from Poland 👍
Its always great to see the younger generation pay tribute to the electronics greats of the past, this would make Edgar, Johannes and Franke proud. Very faithful to the original....Well done all of you.
@@thomasrydell Thanks, I did and I love them. Poland is one of my favourite TD albums, and you just completely nailed it with these talented kids. Giving that syncopated percussive repeating note to the pizzicato violin was genius. It sounds identical!
This is the most beautiful nostalgic thing to listen to. Bravo to all these students, and of course Froese, Franke and Schmoelling. Not a musician, but I imagine the harder part was creating the arrangement, thanks. 🙏
If I ever would have had the idea I immediately would have considered it as not feasible. Great work! ❤️ This has to go on the big stage, do a concert!
Awesome! This arrangement is so incredibly well done. I would love to hear more of this type of music. I can now see myself attending a "classical concert" with music of Tangerine Dream. Greetings from the city that brought the sounds of the future.
wow this really works. Great interpretation. It is good to know that these students wanted to learn and play TD. Well done to all the musicians. I hope they will play more TD.
absolutely lovely! performers should be proud. as someone who knows this piece inside and out, a wonderful job. and your teacher gets an A+, American style. This makes me smile.
Superb! I am flashed! That song is one of my oldest favourites from Tangerine Dream. I heard it so many times and now in a new, unbelievable good version! Great job.
A superb acoustic cover of the opening sequence from Poland. I also love these students' versions of Charley the Kid and Love on a Real Train. Hope they do more by Tangerine Dream.

SO WONDERFUL!!!!! Thank you for an excellent performance, congratulations to all artists, my warm heartfelt greetings from Poland to Sweden, have a happy week. Joanna
Miraculous performance. It highlights the kaleidoscopic nature of the composition, with parts entering and leaving the arrangement the entire time, each bar different from the next. As a performer I would never attain the trance-like level of concentration required to follow the score. I understand that this piece is mainly a creation from Schmölling and he must be insanely happy with the result. Monstrous respect.
Jag är djupt imponerad av att höra en av de bästa coverversionerna av Tangerine Dream. Du lyckas inte bara spela på akustiska instrument, utan du har också hittat ditt eget sätt att hantera känslorna i låten och lagt till dina egna. Fantastiskt! I am deeply impressed to hear one of the best cover versions of Tangerine Dream. Not only do you manage to play on acoustic instruments, but you have found your own approach to the emotions of the track and added your own. Stunning!
There are rarely things that really blow me away. But this is just great, big compliments to all who participated. Respect! Greetings Jerome Froese
Great to see your comment on here Jerome, this is pure magic.
Thank you kindly mr Froese! I'm very glad that the video found its way to you!
fantastic someone from the family heard this. I hope Christoph and Johannes hear it too. Those kids did you all proud!
The same with me when I heard Tangerine Dream early 80's!
A brilliant interpretation. Holá Jerome!
That is extremely well done, totally faithful to the original live concert version. I'm sure Edgar is looking down from his cosmic address in pride.
I hope and believe he is !
