Oh my God this is truly incredible. The vocal layering is so intricate and beautiful, and the crescendo is akin to religious ecstasy. I cannot see another song topping this this year.
This is one of the best songs I've ever heard, I absolutely love this. It's so atmospheric, creative and fantastical. It makes me feel happy, genuinely happy. A song has legit never made me felt this way, and I've heard all types of music. This is what I've been looking for all along, what an absolute beauty.
One of THE greatest endings to a song I've heard. A stunning crescendo of transcendental brilliance. How a song ends is such an underrated component - needless to say its subtle beginnings will mean most peoples goldfish attentions are diverted long before that point.
I heard this just yesterday on the Indie station for direct TV while stoned as hell, and I fell in love with it. This sound, the voices, everything, it’s so beautiful.
I found Julia while looking for something new to listen to on my iPad. Apple music recommended Have you in my wilderness and having never heard about her or the album I took a chance. It quickly became one of my most favorite albums ever and introduced me to an artist I have since fallen musically in love with. I couldn't be more excited for a new Julia Holter album. Praise the gods she keeps making music on this kind of level.
Another outstanding album from Julia Holter. I have listened to it a lot since it came out, and keep finding delightful vocals and hidden gems with each listen. Album of the year IMHO.
Grandiousely intimate. 1 week ago I was asking the stars for making appear a new Holter album, and now, i'm listening to her galaxy: NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE!!!!!!!!
She's been so hardworking in recent years.First she relseased the best album of her career, then she was on tour, released a live album and now she announced her new thing.I love her
She also write some original songs for the soundtrack of Bleed for This and did some collaborative work with Linda Perhacs. You might like her music as well.
Yeah, far more creative and original. Have You in My Wilderness is still great, but it's a bit too contemporary and generic for me to be able to call it her best. I liked each Holter album less than the last and Aviary looks to break the streak.
@@nothingreally6680 I have a real trouble picking her best album, imo kinda impossible - but I actually lean towards Tragedy too :) I have to say tho I haven't listeneed to full Aviary yet (and I loove this song + vid)
no one makes music like her. she is distant, but she can make you feel the seasons change, and see the earth revolving, and drink all the stars in the sky After this Julia Holter I shall love 2 we have to
That is all, that is all There is nothing else I am in love What can I do? Oh, I am in love What can I do? That is all, that is all There is nothing else Who cares what people say? Who cares what people say? What do you squander? What do you hold? What do you squander? What do you hold? In all the humans there is something true But do the angels say, do the angels say I shall love, I shall love, I shall love, I shall love I shall love, I shall love, I shall love, I shall love I shall love, I shall love, I shall love, I shall love

I shall love this song, forever.

I get the sentiment too.
This song felt like a fading rainbow at first glance but then i realized its gonna cover the whole sky.
YESSSSS
beautifully said :)
What a beautiful statement!
I'm insulted by how beautiful this is. I don't deserve this.
but you do. Yeah, you do.
Wow, wasn't expecting an album this year. Wonderful.
Julia is a genius.
Always ready for some new Holter Hits.
The riff that is first heard at 0:45 and it's then repeated throughout the song sounds like the beginning of "Ship of Fools" by John Cale
this is SO GOOD
she's being guided by a higher force towards the end
Purified my soul with that outro
Beyond incredible, Aviary is a masterpiece
This is so beautiful & pure.
Another outstanding album from Julia Holter. I have listened to it a lot since it came out, and keep finding delightful vocals and hidden gems with each listen. Album of the year IMHO.
mesmerizing, and thank you for including Why Sad Song on Aviary
This song entered my life just when I needed it. Thank you.
Sensational outro, and how you can do a lot with very little in a video. Timeless!
This is just beautiful!

the absolute best!
Julia never fails to deliver.
Chef d'oeuvre
Sounds like it’s taking direction that Ekstasis had but with the stellar mixing direction Have You In My Wilderness was so great for. I’m so hype.
perfect statement
yes, that's exactly how I feel about this record
agree
I have a headache because I haven't been drinking enough water and I forgot to eat breakfast....
what do u think of last Tim Hecker album?
Aviary is definitely in the running for best album of all time
Amazing song
Wonderful album in my collection, thanks for vid
Getting some Alice Coltrane vibes from this. So excited for this record!
I really like this song, can't wait fo the new album! This song feels a bit 60's, like Nico.
That is all, that is all... There is nothing else.
New album? HYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYPE!
I'm so glad it seems to be delightfuly weird, just like Ekstasis was.
The song and the video are terrific! I'm really excited about the upcoming album
Sounds cool, looking forward to album

utterly gorgeous
Reminds me a bit of my friend Shana Falana's music but it's great. Julia Holter is a super genuine & bonafide talent.
single (and album) of the year.
it's happening!!! so excited, we'll see where you take us next
His music is of a sincerity and authenticity that moves me.
She is very great! 💙
no one makes music like her. she is distant, but she can make you feel the seasons change, and see the earth revolving, and drink all the stars in the sky
After this Julia Holter I shall love 2

Yuck
"I Shall Love 2" debuted at #6 on the New Alternative 40 Chart this week!
Okay
That is all, that is all... There is nothing else.
It looks like a huge step forward. Cant wait for the album
Amazing!!
i’m obsessed!
i shall love
Welcome back, Julia. Beautiful track.
I AM SO HYPED FOR HER NEW RECORD MAN
This is very reminiscent of late 80's-early 90's dream pop and art rock. It's beautiful!
AMAZING TRACK!! AMAZING VIDEO!!
Thank God you´re back Julia
Marvelous
"why do you squander? why do you hoard? in all the human errors there is something true what do the angels say? I shall love" -- transcendent.
Amazing
amazing
Juliaaaa immm soo happy!!! 💜💜💜💜💜
Love it. Early on it has a Velvet Underground & Nico feel, but then…wow! Ecstatic (ekstatic?) incantation.
Ekastasis :)
Awesome.
wow!
yes !
Yessssssssssss
beautiful
Habrá q verla en el auditorio
Like a Laurie Anderson duet with Elisabeth Frazer, backed by Spacemen 3, perfect
them together would be some band!
You've er, you've just nailed it.
But without the heaping piles of futurism.
This is great. thank u
That gorgeous little refrain reminds me of Sad Sweet Dreamer by Sweet Sensation from 1974.
Real Robert Ashley feeling to a lot of her vocals here, which is a great thing. Wish more people knew about him, a fantastic composer.

Julia's doing increasingly good songs, definitely in my top 10 female singer song writers of this decade.
I Love it all
That is all, that is all
There is nothing else
I am in love
What can I do?
Oh, I am in love
What can I do?
That is all, that is all
There is nothing else
Who cares what people say?
Who cares what people say?
What do you squander?
What do you hold?
What do you squander?
What do you hold?
In all the humans there is something true
But do the angels say, do the angels say
I shall love, I shall love, I shall love, I shall love
I shall love, I shall love, I shall love, I shall love
I shall love, I shall love, I shall love, I shall love
*Why do you hoard?
Masters at work would do a epic remix of this song Julia.
I shall love.
